{You're love is my drug, and I'm an addict}

I want to know where everyone stands on this very controversial topic. It's something that I feel to be is very important in today's society.

I believe that love is love and that people should be allowed to marry whoever they want regardless of gender. Same goes for rights, homosexuals should be allowed to have all the same rights.

But I want to know what other people think, so please share your thoughts.
But remember to be respectful and decent at all times. Otherwise I'm booting you out.

Same here. Also I think using the religous point as to why gays should not get married is pointless because not everyone who get married do it for religious reasons. It's not like it's the ultimate sacred act, I mean Brittney Spears first wedding anyone. xd

age and gender have NOTHING to do with love.

If you live in the US at least, the religious argument isn't even valid; separation of church and state

I'm all for gay rights/marriage. Infact, my brother and his partner Jason were one of the first gay couples to marry in England back in '05 ^^

The only problem with your statement of "seperation" is that it doesn't matter to most people in the US, unfortunately. At least, from my experiences. As long as the bible says it's wrong, it's wrong to them.

An actual argument that I've received: "This country was founded on Christianity! The Bible says that being gay is a sin! Therefore being gay should be illegal!" o.0

I myself am all for gay rights/marriage. If the Romans/Greeks were okay with it, why can't we be? Not only that, but some of my best friends are homosexual. I'd never want anyone to deny them any of their rights. It's wrong to do so.

I don't see why it should matter what orientation you are.

Marriage is a union of souls in love; civil unions are not only inferior and inadequate, but they hardly provide the same legal and financial benefits and attributes that a marriage does.

It's not a matter of religion to me, it's a matter of legality. You can't visit your "life partner" in the emergency room at the hospital, but you CAN visit your spouse.

Which is really ******** up: so perhaps some gay guy's conservative, estranged parents who never got along with him can see him, but his lover of 20 years cannot.
