I'm part way through translating the paragraphs, using my logic to fill in the gaps and the notes on grammar mentioned in here. This is a lot of fun, actually.

EDIT: I've translated the paragraphs. Got a Translation for those to see how close I am?

Here are the translations. Some I'm not so sure about....

Think I made it clear which ones those were.

*litir Letter *Scríobh Write
*bliana Year ? *beirt Two People
*ealaín Art --- *fóill Yet
*óige child *chúigiú Fifth
*fhionn wine ? *agam at me
*ar airde Tall *chara Friend?
*gorma Beam/Glow? *CUigear Five People
*athas Happiness

Trying to find a better dictionary to go through this with. Can't find any sort of clue for many of the words in the passage.

I Think The Majority Of Your Translations Are Right.

But I Think Óige Is Young Not Child.

And Athas Is Happy Not Happiness.

Bliana Is Years (Pl).

Fhionn Is Somebody's Name.

Gorma Is Blue.

Fionn in this context means blonde!
It is indeed also a name!

Getting back to this- Can I get a translation of the paragraph? I have my messed up translation, and I can find a few words (Scriobh, Ar Airde, Foill, Fionn, Litir, and Possibly elain and chuigi) but it's too much of a jumble for me to make sense of.
