"Yeah, that's true...and then...I give the mouse to someone else!" Anna glanced from the tin to Tellah, almost imploringly. Suspicious scratching noises were coming from inside the tin, and every once in a while it shifted a little.

Tellah looked dubious for a second, then sighed. "I'm... sorta responsible for him coming into the shop, huh? I guess I could take him home, if it's okay- I wouldn't want to leave you with more trouble."
Spenser squirmed out of Tellah's hand and made a little leap back to the counter- where he scurried over and climbed up on top of the tin, sitting there. "Zeh!"

"Well, your mouse seems to...uh...like him...though he might be something of a bad influence." Anna brightened up with the assurance that the bizarre creature would soon be gone. "Getting him out of that tin without anyone getting hurt may be a problem, though..." She turned and picked up a pickle jar, stabbing a few holes in the lid with the knife she had used earlier. "You can use this to take him home, at least."

Tellah unscrewed the lid of the pickle jar and held it at the end of the counter. "I'm not sure Spenser -likes- him, or he likes being a pain in the-" she looked shifty and left it at that. Shooing said pain off the tin, though he kept prancing around and squeaking, occasionally adding a 'zeh' here and there, Tellah scooted the tin over towards the edge of the counter as well, hoping to pop the mouse off the edge and into the jar, and hopefully secure the lid.

Somehow, everything went fine, though the mouse squeaked angrily and jabbed the air a few times with his knife, clutched in his teeth. A small piece of cheese was still clutched in his paws when he fell into the jar, and, realizing he was trapped--or perhaps conserving his energy to make his escape later--the mouse tucked his knife away and started gnawing on the cheese again.
