The guild is fairly quiet, and I run into stuff like this from time to time, so I'll leave little news and tidbits here.

Zombeast, whose primary driving goal seems to have been to sound as much like Glenn Danzig as possible, has called it quits, citing artistic differences as the cause.
They released a single album on the Horror High label, and expect to announce a goodbye show soon.

Went to see the Misfits last Friday, but the real surprise was seeing Cult Of The Psychic Fetus opening for them, I've seen them around but never really gave them a listen, people should check them out if they haven't.

I've listened to The Coffinshakers before they are awesom and The Cult Of The Psychic fetus sound really awesome too

I don't dislike Blitzkid, but they kinda bore me. When it comes to the more popular (mainstream-ier?) horror punk, I prefer Calabrese. I've got both on my ipod at the moment, but lately when Blitzkid comes on I've been listening to like less than a minute of the song then skipping to the next track.

I like prefer spanish deathrock (which is really just horror punk without the vocalist trying to sound like Danzig) more than afformentioned horror punk bands, though Calabrese, Nim Vind, and other such bands can be alright every once in awhile, but they were never my thing. Los Carniceros Del Norte are great though, they capture the atmosphere and imagery (in spanish) of the Misfits without sounding like the Misfits, which is refreshing.
