Her bloody, tired paws carried her over the earth fast as humanely possible. Her tail was tucked and her ears were flat against her skull, golden earring swaying in the soft wind. She ran as if her life depended on it, and, quite frankly, it did. She had to get away from Jaide, had to break away from that pack. Had to get free from the darkness lurking in their souls... Ohgod, they were after her.

In reality, their footsteps only echoed in her poor, frightened brain. They had long since given up the chase, deeming her unfit. Submissive and easily spooked, Pandora wasn't the best candidate to be every boy in the all-male-pack's mate.

The female sniffed along the earth, trying to let the scent carry her to something edible. They had picked bountiful packlands, but the hunt was still involved. The herla were still always careful.. Always watching. They were used to keeping away from the wolves.. They were growing smarter.

Her deep golden eyes sparkled. She had the true eyes of the wolf. No mutation made them a different hue, unnatural to that of a wolf. One look at her and you could tell she was wild at heart.

She padded along the path, her nose still to the earth...But her ears perked at the sound of a twig snapping. Lifting her head just slightly, she sniffed the air.
Someone was coming..coming into her lands.

---

Pandora jolted back and forth, her movements erratic and exhausted. Lines creased her forehead as she slowed to a walk, favoring one leg over the rest, holding it to her chest. Her head drooped and tears burned at her eyes.

She'd left the only place she'd ever had. The only home. Where was she supposed to go now? She took a deep, shuddering breath, and then froze. Someone...or something...was watching her. A whine rippled up her throat and she plastered herself to the ground. "He-Hello?"

---

Her head lifted at the voice, and her eyes sparkled in the moonlight, giving her that strong, proud look. She couldnt help but wanting to know what was out there.
She whined a bit, wanting to call out to the other, but her instincts told her to be careful.

But the voice seemed..soft..scared. What more, it sounded feminine. She padded silently closer, and her eyes peeked through the shadows of the bush as she watched the odd colored female.
She was pretty, and made Sophie smile.. Too bad Raya was so close, she might have to do some flirting..But she'd never be infaithful to her girl..ever.. Didnt mean she didnt wanna flirt with the other pretty wolves.
"Hello." Her voice came out rought, sharp, yet feminine.

---

Pandora's body froze, blood halting their step in her veins for just a moment as her heart skipped a beat. Another...wolf... But, female. It was female, no matter how gutteral it came out. Her tail began to thrash against the ground, maw making audible whining sounds. "I... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to intrude, but I... I can't stop running. They're after me!" Her voice turned into a sharp shriek, pulling herself up and skirting to the side.

---

Sophie walked closer, listening to the frantic voice of the other female. She nudged her gently, but looked down at her from her poised stance.
"Who's after you?"
She asked, supposing it was a simple question.. But Sophie was a warrior, and if something was after this female, she'd defend her all she could.

"I can help you, you know.. But I cannot help you should you not follow me into my packlands.. I cannot help ones that are not my family..Not..Mine."
Sure, it could be rude.. But Sophie was always straight forward and sometimes it was a bit quick to the point..

---

Pandora turned her face away from the bigger wolf, her tail pinned to her underside. She looked around, and then behind her, surprised that the male tag-team hadn't followed her. "Two...big burly boys," she murmured weakly, licking at a swollen paw pad. "They wanted... They wanted me to be their girl...and I just...couldn't..." She gasped down a sob, wracking her body, but fell still as the other spoke.

Her brows furrowed. Hers... They had wanted her to be theirs too... Like a possession... Fire flickered in Pan's green eyes. "I belong to no one..."

---

Sophie grew angry at the female's words, and she moved closer to let the other rest her head against her chest. She disliked the male species for this reason. They were good for one thing, and that was bearing pups... and even then some failed to be good for that even..

"You are right. You belong to no one at all. You are strong. A strong female who knows what she wants. You are not a gift, or broodwolf merely because you are female.. "
She sighed.
"They're trying to keep you from realizing your true self..Your true strength."

---

Pandora let the bigger wolf near her, resting her tired head against this female's chest and breathing in. She needed to sleep, to rest her tired paws. But not yet. She stiffened once more.

"I'm...not a strong wolf at all," she murmured, admitting the truth. Her entire life, she'd been a lowly sikla. That's why the men had picked her to be the bearer of their children, even against her will. She couldn't really fight them. "Do I have strength?"

---

Sophie used her muzzle, lifting the muzzle of the other, so that she could look directly into those frantically nervous eyes.
The golden ones bore into Pandora's eyes, as if testing her.

"You -are- strong. You're alive arent you? You stand before me, away from the males who would cause you eternal torment..."
She flicked her tail, her body proud. She had always been a proud female.. She had always been a strong female at that. No one had ever hurt her, or taken advantage of her..
The only one who was ever close enough to be able to do it should she decide, would have been Raya..

"I call that strength."

---

Pan's breath hitched in her throat as she stared into the liquid gold eyes of the seemingly-alpha female. Her ears flicked back and forth, though they settled on laying back against her head and she felt heat rise to her face, a blush burning her nose. She glanced away, feeling silly.

"I am alive," she whispered fervently, tail giving a resounding thump against the earth. "I got away. They...won't be back, though, will they?" She took a breath and looked back at the path she'd taken here, breathing and staring until she was certain those demons were gone. At least for now. "I...you said something about a pack?" she asked meekly.

---

Sophie was happy to see that the female's spirits were lifted so easily. It meant she would learn quickly.
She wagged her own tail, though it was held high to show that she was indeed in command here.

"They will never hurt you. Never again, so long as you have me to protect you.. I protect my pack.. If you come with me.. You will be given refuge, and my own promise of protection."

---

Pan knew that the she-wolf was the leader, just by the way she carried herself. That was fine; Pandora was the kind of wolf to never challenge, to stay peaceful. She would never be one to overthrow an alpha just for the power...

Her tail wagged low between her thighs. She spoke of protection and safety... Pandora glanced once more in the direction in which she had run. "I would like to join," she said with a smile. "I'm sorry but...I didn't catch your name."

---

Sophie smiled a bit, her chuckle deep in her throat.

"You are accepted then.. You may run with us, and we will be your family You will find, that all the pack protects its members.. You will forever be safe.."
She replied, her voice a rumble, yet somehow, still was a female voice.. She had that raspy, growly voice, but still she was beautiful..Still she was seductive and enticing.
Still She was Sophie.
"My name is Sophie..and you are?"

---

Sophie... Pan smiled and it met her green eyes. It was a beautiful name, the name of a leader, a strong-wolf. Just the way the she-wolf spoke it, it sent her heart fluttering. Ears back, she was embarrassed again. "I'm Pandora," she said softly. Her tail wagged to the beat of her heart and Pan knew that somehow, this was the right place for her.

---

She walked a bit forward, heading back towards the treeline that would lead straight to her home.. To her lands.

"Pandora, its time you know what strength is."
She nodded, her eyes twinkling, as she flicked her tail under Pandora's chin.

"You will be a magnificent addition indeed."
She smiled, and walked into the darkness.
