I've bleached my hair only once and it turned out blond/white (I had died mine black a while back) But I waited MONTHS before I attempted bleaching. The black was almost completely out of my hair.

(Not to mention my hair doesn't hold black dye very well even if it's permanent crying )

I would say that if you're wanting to go platinum to wait a while considering it's only been 6 weeks. Try to let some of the black fade.

Either way you do it if you're going platinum it IS going to take more than one bleaching. Even when I had mine done it had a few streaks of a golden color in it. So even if you wait your hair could still come out an orange/blonde color.

I'd wait, because your hair will either get really dry like straw, or it will turn to mush, and either of those aren't good. I went on a dying spree before, and I had to wait for all the dry hair to grow out before I could dye it again, witch took FOREVER! lol

I finally made it, like 1 month ago I reached the desired color

I only bleached one time, it turned out carrot top orange.
then like 3 months later I started using dye instead of bleach
and the ash tones turned the orange into a nice whiteish pale blonde ^o^!

of course, after like 3 different dye sessions.

I make my roots with extra light ash blonde, though I usually have to apply another dye after because the orange undertones of the dark roots >o<

the good thing is that im not bald LOL

uhg, bleaching is a nightmare.
you have to take extra special care of your hair if you bleach it!
don't bleach your roots, they will turn out bright white.

sad dont bleach. i had BEAUTIFUL knee-length hair, bleached it all blonde. two years later, its only at my boobs, and its JUST getting healthy again.
