i agree with all those who say that emo is short for emotional and that its a state of mind.i however dont believe those who steriotype emos as pissed off,depressed,cutters.

Emo is not cry babies, they wear black and red, some of them like Twlight. At my school theres a group that they think they are vampiers and they are not. Are you kidding, They were kinda like people like you and me. This is going to be hard topic to say. They were always cut themselves, some draw them selfs like stiches or what. Well, thats is for silly people not normal people like me.

Emo is bettween Goth and punk. Its different compair to goth. I not to sure about this, but its ture. Goth is quiet scary. Emo is just a nerdy vison. I surely got labeled emo even i am not. I think the emo is emo Wild hair colours
and layers and layers
Bang cover your eye
Wear too much eyeliner
cutting youself
thats a little award it just as spoken. Its not all about that. Just be creative

Emo is a state of mind. And its short for EMOtoinal.

Guys, EMO is short for Emotional hardcore, which was popular in the 80's. Its a bloody music genre that society had made into a damn idiotic insult and a label scream It celebrates depression and suicide. People often confuse the gothic subculture with emo, goths like the darker side of life, The supernatural, ect. while emo as I said before encorague suicide and self harm. stare Idiots...Oh and If you dont believe me bloody GOOGLE it!
