Maria nodded her head. "Alright...I just hope they aren't too dangerous like you claimed they were."

"There are some dangers, just like any other place has though." Panshee flicked his ear. The dangers were real, especially for two horses in the darkening area. He kept on high alert, knowing that anything could happen at any time.

Maria lowered her ears a bit nervous. "Then would it be better to go to a different area that might be less of a threat...if there is ever so a place."

"No matter where you go, there's always a risk or danger of some sort." Panshee paused, slowing to walk next to Maria. "But do not fret, we should be safe if we keep to the path." As if summoned by Panshee's words, a small path, hidden well with thick undergrowth, lay ahead of the pair as they trotted on through the field and into the forest.

Maria looked down. "I see..." She trailed off a bit, but looked up when he mentioned the path. "Huh? I didn't see that before." She followed after him. "So do you live close to these areas?"

"The path is tricky to see most often." Panshee nodded. "I've lived here for a while, although I sometimes visit other areas. Do you live near here?" Without changing his gait, he glanced back at the mare following him. He had started to work his way through the path. Along the way, he moved vegetation blocking Maria's path as best as he could. The uphill trek was tricky enough without her having to worry about plants messing up her path.

Maria eyed the path. "I see..." She then turned her attention back towards Panshee. "Well I do live nearby. It's a bit odd though since my aunt also lives nearby with my cousin." She continued her walking down the path. "Thank you..." She looked down. "I'm actually surprised someone like you hasn't chased me away yet for being annoying."

"No problem." He smiled kindly at her. There was a few moments of silence as Panshee navigated up the rockiest portion of the trail. "Why would I want to chase you away? You've given me company and are very kind." Now the stallion stopped. The path had reopened on an earthy hillside. The sun was still lowering, drawing nearer to sunset. They were nearly there and now the two could walk side by side together since the path was wide and it wasn't as trecherous.

Maria lightly smiled. "Well...thank you. It's just some don't like others to talk to, but you don't seem to be like that." She looked at the path. "It's funny, but this isn't so bad of a path once you get used to it."

Panshee smiled kindly before nodding. "In most places yes. I got lucky finding this path, though. Many predators - when pursuing prey - forget to pay attention to the footing back there and often harm themselves or slow down. Its safe and efficient for our kind," he nickered. A soft breeze had picked up and the leaves and plants on the slope whispered and rustled in the welcome wind.

Maria felt relaxed with Panshee as the wind blew her magenta hair. She watched things on the path before looking back at Panshee. "I see...do you know where this leads to?" She wasn't still 100% sure what was going to happen.
