We've talked about this briefly but I'm wondering how everyone feels about buying any of the items. Does anyone think this is a good investment? What if the item isn't available anymore when the shop leaves and comes back again? Would the first few items be worth more than they are now?
In that case, would the Monarch Dress and the Cape be the most sought after items? Or all 4? Or will they just lower in value?
Anyway, I thought it was interesting.

I'm reserving judgment until later in the month. There are all sorts of crazy conspiracy theories floating around GCD. Like we'll get stuck in mirror world for Halloween and all the items will be affordable there. I somehow doubt that will be the case, but I am waiting to see if the prices drop to more reasonable levels - they did say the prices could change, and it would serve all of the status-seekers who have to buy something expensive when it is brand-new and rare right.
As for what items would be most popular, I don't know. I think the least popular is bound to be that ugly helmet, though. I like the monarch dress, Merlin's hat, and the Royal Terian Raiment, myself. Although I may be attracted to the hat mostly because of it's name... Anyways, the pixel quality on those three is so great, you can barely see the individual pixels. As for the bifrost, I missed the April Fool's event in zOMG, so I dunno what the fascination with Cressento is. Other than that he has a really cool hat. And the item looks more like it should be part of an EI or RIG. It doesn't quite fit with the rest of the store, except for, I guess, Cressento could use his airship to take customers to and from when the floating store moves.
Did I mention it's about time Gaia got a floating city (er... store)?
Edit: I suspect they may also go into the Daily Chance when they leave the store as super-rare grants. DC stands for both of them.

It's a great way to suck rich Gaians dry, but I can't be arsed to trade in my old Donation Items to get enough pure gold to partake in these modern hijinks.

Upon a few seconds thought... no, they're not a good investment. Anybody rich enough to buy them will buy them while they're in the store. Even if a few people quest for them after they've left the store, they're not likely to pay so much higher than the original price that sitting on the items will turn a large profit.
And they might even end up in RIGs down the road. The high-end store items of the past did. Although they weren't nearly THIS high-end.

i'm only interested in this store academically. i don't actually want any of the items in it, and i don't do the whole investment purchases thing. but i'm interested to see about items entering, leaving, and re-entering the store, prices changing, and so on. i want to see how it plays out.

Sorry for the wait. And that makes sense procrast. I thought about it and maybe it's not that great of an investment. It might just go down in value in the end because no one wants to pay those prices. But maybe the Monarch butterfly would be the best one. It's so shiny. I like the hat, the dress and the airship but I like the airship because of Skies of Arcadia (but it's a little different). XD
I would LOVE for Gaia to get a floating city! It looked like the Chinese Gaia might have one. <3
