xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxX HAYDEN Xx A rather slender looking stud wandered the grounds of the pleasantly clear plains. A breeze made the taller grass bow and bend, sending them in shock waves. To Hayden, the stud mentioned earlier, it was almost as if they were a green ocean, sending one wave to shore after another. He was relaxing by a lonely oak tree, with it's branches shading the darkly colored Herla. "Eh, I wish there was something to do. I wish Shen were here. I wish anybody was here." The male spoke softly to himself, feeling a bit crazy for doing so but what the heck? Nobody was around to see him slowly slipping into madness.
The wind blew a gust of heavy wind and shook the branches of the tree. Hard enough to send a good sized acorn falling to conk Hayden right on top of his melon. "Ouch!" he shouted in surprise only to find his childish outburst embarrassing. He focused his eyes on what had hit him. "An acorn. Ugh, stupid thing..." He stood up and kicked it away from him with his hoof, then began to wander through the tall grass that came up to hardly tickle his belly. To yearlings these plans would be a great adventure but as an adult, they were just a bother. The male walked through the open land, not really in search of anything, just taking his time to wander.

Cloaked by her dark scales and the shade of the foliage, Xiphi creeped near the glowing stud. The leaves slid silently over her slick flesh as she stalked the unsuspecting buck. It wasn't exactly a hobby to stalk herla, but she found this hart particularlyamusing. Now he's talking to himself. Xiphi thought, a smirk curling across her face. Xiphi indulged herself in the rough tempest, just as the acorn hit Hayden's head. It took a lot of effort to silence her laughter.
Xiphi watched as Hayden began to wander through the tall grass, waiting for the perfect moment to pounce. The thought was exciting, Hayden was so easy to scare! He might even wet himself. Xiphi let out a peep as she thought of the endless laughter that would bring. Quickly, she backed into the shadows, worried that she may have revealed herself. When she assumed it was safe, she bounced after Hayden with haste, playfully tackling him and screaming "HAAAAYDEN!" In her typical monstrous voice.

Hayden, completely unknowing of what was watching him from the safety of the shadows, walked through the grass with light steps. His plentiful glow sticks jingled with a dull sound, for they were only plastic. His steps started to slow as he heard something else besides his own footsteps. Was that something running? Just as he perked his ears up and became fully aware of it he felt a loud voice coming from behind him. Yes, he could feel it. It was so monstrous that it made his bones shake. Then came the weight. A force brought him down to the ground, plus it could have been that his knees got so weak when he heard the voice. Now that he was on the ground he had his head buried in the grass, "Ah! No, don't eat me!" he shouted at the top of his lungs. Sadly, it was to late and he had already embarrassed himself, and the blush began to rise in his cheeks as he noticed that it was only Xiphi. "Hey! Xiphi, what the heck? Ugh, that... that wasn't nice." He struggled to his feet, rising out of the tall grass with a pouting expression on his face.

The doe exploded with laughter and she struggled to remain on her hooves. "I-I'm sorry, Hayden." She choked through bursts of giggles. "You're just so... So funny!" The intense grin stung Xiphi's cheeks, but she tried to help Hayden up regardless. "You'll have nightmares tonight, eh?" She painfully stifled remaining chuckles and snorts, and then swung her head back to show her sincerity. "My apologies." Her serious, dry voice returned, but her face was still glowing with a smile. Good thing for this skull I'm wearing, she thought as she took a breath of the cool, moist air. A normal breath was a relief after so much laughter. Her constricted muscles relaxed, and Xiphi let out a sigh.
"So, what's a handsome stud like you doing wandering out around in the open?" She eyed him casually, lingering on his glow sticks. "I thought I told you before... that glow can attract some nasty predators." The gray doe exploded with laughter again as the memory of Hayden screaming Ah! No, don't eat me! flicked into her mind.

Hayden huffed and caught his breathe again as the female seemed to be having a ball just laughing at his expense. "Ya, sure you are..." He sounded a bit butt hurt but it wasn't anything that wouldn't blow over in the next minute or so. He glanced at her momentarily before looking away and muttering, "Always nightmares when I dream of you Xiphi." He smirked slightly to himself, knowing that wasn't really the case but it was clever, or at least he thought so. When the decorative Herla began asking about his reasons for being out in the open like this he simply shrugged, "I was trying to relax. I guess that failed though." It was only after he answered that he realized she called him a handsome stud. He brightened up quickly, absolutely loving compliments in any form. Even if they were sarcastic.
He began to circle her, flicking his short tail with amusement. "Handsome, huh? Well thanks, Precious." With that gentle compliment he listened to her next part about his glowsticks, and thus the mood was crumbling back down. "Oh, well... I don't know. I just... they keep me out of the dark." He shrugged. Yes, Hayden was a big baby when it came to the dark, but he didn't like to openly admit that. Especially to a girl like Xiphi, who he wasn't sure if he liked or not. They had quiet an interesting relationship, these two.
