With a carefully composed face Xander wandered around the streets. It was another boring day with nothing to do. He secretly wanted to be home with his breen chair, but even he knew that spending too much time cooped up at home was no good. He needed to get out more. For his health if anything. With a sigh he wandered towards a less lively area of town.
He'd probably ended up at the end of town or something fore he ended up in front of the beginnings of a forest. Not some small or dangerous forest. Just a normal one. It seemed pretty big and pretty devoid of danger, or at least it did in his eyes. He turned around to see if there was anyone even near this part of town, but it seemed that his suspicions were confirmed.
There weren't many people about and the forest seemed like a nice place to go if he was searching for a quiet place to go without getting annoyed by others. And of course, that was exactly what he was looking for.

Near the top of a dead tree that had fallen against one of its neighbors many years ago bright flash of pink and purple kept appearing and disappearing and snatches of some obscure song could be heard along with them. Occasionally when the singing stopped a snap and crack could be heard and a head with soft purple and neon pink eyes would pop out and a twig or small branch would fall to the ground on or near a small pile. After a few more minutes and a few more branches Swete scampered down the steep trunk of the tree giggling the last few feet as she slipped and slid to the ground.
Walking over to her pile of branches and twigs with a purposeful stride she eyed them all critically a slight frown twisting her usually happy face. Her tail twitched from side to side for a few moments before she bound forward and grabbed a particularly knotted and thick twig in her mouth. Turning from her hard worked for pile she skipped happily along a small track that led down to the river. As the twists and turns led her closer to the edge of the forest and close to the city where she made her home she looked up to the sky trying to see the sun.
As it remained elusively behind the leaves shaded canopy though she shrugged her shoulders and continued along the path twig in mouth humming happily to herself. When she cleared through a thick set of under growth though she spotted another wishling with strange colors and markings. As much as she would like to have stopped to talk to him though she had work to do, so she nodded her head in greetings since she couldn’t really speak and continued along down the path as she passed him.

As he heard the muffled humming coming from deeper in the forest Xander couldn't help but wonder what he was more surprised about. Either the fact that another Wishling had been in the forest all along or simply the fact that his seemingly quiet afternoon had now come to a conclusion. He considered just turning now and going back home while he was still ahead, but all that walking and time would've just been wasted.
Much to his surprise the other Wish simply nodded at him as it walked on by. Bright pink-purple fur and all. Despite the fact that the voice inside his head was screaming for him to just leave and preserve his quiet afternoon Xander found himself intrigued by the soft colored pelt of the other. It reminded him of cotton candy and it stood out lividly from the otherwise green scenery.
He debated between simply asking her what she was doing or just following her. The second one would lead to her most likely questioning him on his "stalkerness", but she seemed far too distracted to answer a mere question. With a shake of his head at his own naivety Xander turned around neatly and padded after her quietly. His goal was neither to get her attention or to secretly follow.

As the trail wound further and deeper into the forest Swete mouthed the woody stick in her mouth with an apparent distaste. The dead branch definitely didn’t taste the best and somehow she had managed to get a sliver stuck on the inside of gum and it was starting to hurt something fierce. But she bore onward with perseverance hoping she would be able to take a minute after she delivered this branch to actually remove the sliver. Rounding a sharp bend in the path she came to a halt for a moment as she found a large tree had fallen across this part of the path.
Taking a few steps back she nimbly jumped and landed on the top before dropping back down to the other side avoiding the jagged broken branches that jutted out along both sides. Blissfully unaware of the world around she kept every ounce of focus on getting to her destination as quickly as possible and in doing so picked up the pace to a rapid jog. Not to much further ahead the trees started to thin out a bit and the sound of rushing water could be heard clearly as the river cut its path through the dappled forest floor.
Reaching a large ringed stump Swete trotted off the and straight into the undergrowth and towards the sound of water with out a pause for breath. Pushing through the last of the bushes she came to the cleared riverbed sighing as found yet more trees fallen and being gnawed through with a quick efficiency of long hard teeth. Easily skirting around the working beavers as they continued to chew and drag branches and bits of wood around Swete made her way to the mostly finished dam and set her stick on the riverbed on top of a pile other beavers were pulling wood from to continue working.
Moving back a few yards she sat down and started probing at the sliver in her mouth with an odd expression on her face. Her jaw working open and shut and her eyes crossed as if trying to see exactly where the bit of wood was in her mouth.

Xander followed after the other Wishling wondering if she knew that he was following her because it seemed like she was rather oblivious about it. But there was always that possibility that she didn't care so with a slight shrug to himself he continued following after her stopping only when they came at the fallen tree. She jumped over it easily leaving him to his own.
Maybe nature was out to get him for not being fit.
He sighed, took a few steps backwards and soared over the tree behind her. He blinked and looked around when he lost her, but spotted her vibrant pelt almost immediately again. It didn't take too long for him to realize their destination. Or at least get a good assumption on it. They were approaching a small riverbed and he could almost feel the water from the waterfall spraying his pelt. He ignored it of course and followed along after her to see her set the branch on one of the dams before sitting off to the side. Was her goal honestly just to help out some beavers?
He blinked and stopped to stare at her in brief curiosity. She was making some weird facial expressions and he honestly couldn't figure out why. Resuming in a steady gait he wandered over to her with his usual indifferent mask on. "What are you doing?"
