Background
The Riverbend herd consists of horses that prefers to live and stay near the water bodies (rivers primarily) instead of the mainland due to their tendency to shy away from other horses outside their herd. That contributes to the size of the Riverbend herd, it is not massive like Cimarron herd but it is a good sized herd. Their primary meeting spot and a 'mecca' is The Gully Ridge.
In the majority of Riverbend members' minds, The Gully Ridge is a magical place and is sacred so they go over there to gain some solace from the turbulence of the life or recover from illness or fight. The medicine mare of Native herd resides there and Riverbend herd uses her services often so Native Herd and Riverbend Herd have a peaceful relationship with each other. Like its namesake, The area is almost isolated, surrounded by tall trees and rock walls. In the background, there is a medium sized waterfall/stream Like this that gives off a serene and peaceful atmosphere to the seemingly magical area. A small lake could be found nearby, surrounded by soft moss bed which is an ideal for expecting mothers to go and give birth there because the area is secluded and almost hidden away from the view. During night time, that's when the gully ridge comes fully to life with fireflies which gives the place a magical vibe.
Near the Canyon, a largest river flows from the top of the nation to the bottom with many rivers forking away from it. The River Band is the primary home to the Riverbend Herd and majority of members would be found there, just lounging around and be at complete ease because River Band gives them a sense of security. Riverbend Herd believes that River Band was the very first river in the nation and it 'gave birth' to series of rivers that runs through the country. At the top end of River Band, on edges of the river there are thick line of trees sandwiching the shores, giving them an ample shelter. It thins out and evolves into thick foliage and wetlands as it moves down south along with the depth of the water. It becomes deeper in the southern regions due to the wetlands.
