The strong alpha let his head rest against the grass. It was early in the morning, almost every wolf was still asleep. Haku couldn't sleep, and he wasn't going back to his den for a while. There were too many thoughts plauging his mind, too much going on.. He never should have gone near HanGeng's den. Of course Macha would be playing with him, flirting with him. The two were closer than any male and female on this territory. He had watched silently as the pup he brought to his home slowly became a strong warrior, grown into a beautiful wolf. He watched her quietly, when she had no idea that he was around, examining her work and keeping an eye to make sure others went gentle on her when she needed it. She would never know what he felt. He would never let her know. He swore when Leradien left him that he was never going to let another female anywhere near his heart. She had torn his heart to shreds and made it impossible to carry on as the Alpha he should have been. Finally, FINALLY, after all of the hard work he'd done, he was going to lose all of that to the paws of another female? No. But how did he solve the problems that occured? It was obvious that she felt a lot for HanGeng.. Watching the two day after day would be murder on his emotions. He was supposed to be the strong, amazing and perfect alpha, it was hard to give off that view when he was shattering inside.

The female should have been sleeping, but being the pack mother she was normally up at sunrise. She was always the first wandering the grounds in search of dead animals or useful blossoms. She had never been the type to sleep much...
Her paws carried her over the earth, her fur blowing with the small gusts of wind that would hit her. It was cold out today, and the wind just chilled her a little more. She loved the snow, but after it had been there for months, she was ready for Springtime. Springtime brought new plants and new creatures to the lands, and she was happy to accept it.
But she still had a few months to go, and so her frozen paws continued on without much more thought. The snow was to her ankles, and she did her best not to trip while attempting to nose out some of the grass underneath the snow. It would be frozen, but it was useful.
She dug at the snow, her paws tearing into the earth once they found it. The earth was frozen, but bits of dirt were beginning to grow loose, and she watched as soon she was digging a decent hole.
She wasnt exactly sure why she had dug the hole, but midway through she stopped, and chuckled to herself. "My I need to pay more attention and stop day dreaming."

Haku caught the scent of Reaction long before he saw her. Her scent would always be comforting to him, the pack mother was just that--a very good mother and a nice female to have around. A small sigh left his maw and he moved to turn his head a little. He was lying on his stomach, his back legs under him and his paws stretched out front.
"Speaking to yourself again, Re?" He asked with a hint of teasing to his tone, his own tail giving a small wag. It as hard to be as excited to see her as he wanted to be. His emotions were drained and he had no ablity to bring a smile to her maw.
"You always were a strange one." He was still teasing her, his words were meant with love. She was practically his sister--Much closer than he had been with Selia. His real sister decided to mate with his worst enemy and that was another blow to his heart.

She blushed a little, and backed away from the hole, and trotted over to the large alpha. He had always been her brother, though not by blood. She loved him as much as she loved Turbo.. She had always been close with him.
"But if I wasnt strange, what would be my quirk?" She asked with a chuckle. She was happy with her new life. The pack was getting bigger, and slowly more wolves were taking notice to the lands. She couldnt help but feel giddy in the security of the pack that brought.
She had noticed Macha and Haku.. she knew that sign that he had been giving, though she said nothing. Reaction wouldnt call him out like that.. not about Macha.. Maybe he had found love after all.. With someone more deserving than his lost mate.
She wagged her tail, and nosed his muzzle in a sisterly fashion. "What are you thinking so deeply about?"

"Many things, my dear sister." He moved to nuzzle her lightly, wanting a bit of comfort. She was more of a sister that Selia had been.. The betrayl of his blood sister still stung each moment that he thought about it. Ah, well. At least he had reaction, and that was more than he could have asked for.
"It has been.. such a long time since Leradien left these lands and took my male heir with her. He would have been worth more than just an heir, but.. I would have liked to train him. To make sure he was grown in the right way. His mother's evil heart.. may have affected him. It is a big fear." A sigh left him then, his shoulders falling a little, as though showing the weight that he carried on them. "Those thoughts lead me to even more. I want to have pups of my own again, to try again with another female at having a mate."
Such thoughts, though, were very troublesome. He didn't need to state outloud why they were difficult for him. Trusting again.. it would be very hard to do.
"Do you think I would still be capable of being a good mate to a female?"

Reaction had known of Selia before, and her betrayal to Haku she had been shocked to hear of. But she spoke nothing of it, as it was not her place in the slightest. Though her heart ached for him, being alone and without anyone to comfort him.
"I'm sure he will forever remember you as his great father, a proud father, who ran a pack and did it well .If hes anything like you, he will refuse to believe the words of his mother. He knows too strongly it wouldnt be true."
She tried to comfort him with a soft smile. She had hoped he would have someone else by now, and she felt for him.
"Yes, Haku. That is a silly question." She smiled.
