My campus gets shut down at least once per quarter for bomb threats.

The only times we ever got out for weather were during snow emergencies- and in high school, we only got that one year because a student slid on the ice and slammed his car into the superintendents car. Made them reconsider making all the other students drive in.

I've gotten out for bomb threats at pretty much every stage of school after Elementary.

Also got out briefly at least once per year through graduation because someone set the school on fire- once in a bathroom right beside my band rehearsal in the auditorium.

Ummmmm.... Once because it was the middle of summer and the AC system went down. Once because a girl died in class. That week as a whole sucked- there were two suicides that week, then the death in class, and then the rest of the week there was an influx of grief councilors. Attendance was voluntary more than it was canceled- I stayed one home day because one of the suicides was the cousin of a good friend of mine and he'd been in one of my classes.

They didn't normally let us out... It's just that the particular week was pretty bad D: Normally they would announce it over the morning announcements, offer students their lunch period to go grieve together in the auditorium. We lost a few students to illnesses and there were a few other suicides, lost a few teachers- they just said screw it because three in a week was a bit much.

Our school shut our power off once so that the FBI could walk around without us knowing 8D Made us all stay in our classrooms.
