 Ginger looked at her two foals she just had. A part of her was happy, but yet a part of her was sad. Her mate was nowhere in sight. She got up for a second to search around, but he wasn't there. "Phoenix!" She called out hoping he would coming running over cheerfully as usual, but still no reply. She flattened her ears a bit sad before trotting back to her children and laying back down. The orange mare tried her best to cheerfully smile hoping they wouldn't quite notice.Abram watched his mom pace all over the place. He didn't quite understand what she was doing, but yet studying her movements he could tell she wasn't 100% happy. Granted she seemed a bit happy to him, but yet there seemed like there was sadness as well. Who was their dad?

Abby laid in the grass near her brother.It did seem that mommy wasn't in the happiest mood,but how could they know,she could always be this way."Mommy,"She talked softly."Are you okay..?"Looking around she never seen her father.Maybe she would never meet the man.Abby started to speak again."Was our daddy a good man?Was he nice?"She started to become curious.

Ginger turned her head back one more time studying the plains. Still nothing. She sighed for a moment and tried to look happy before turning around. "Yes dear...I'm fine." She looked at her two children. At least she had them. That was enough for her. "I'm happy that I have you two here."
Abram smiled a bit when he saw her face. "That's good, but where's dad?" He was a bit curious who his dad was. It was only natural for him to want to know. "Afterall, I want to wrestle him one day."

"Were glad to have you mommy."Addy giggled at her and just playfully nipped at her brothers short mane."Where is he?Why isn't he here with us?"It seemed both her and Abram were so curious about their father,but maybe Ginger didn't know,did he run off?Did he just say I'll leave you with the kids?Where was he?Who was he?The only one who knew was mom.

Ginger lightly laughed with her children until the subject of the father was brought up. "I..." Her face looked sad all of a sudden. "I really don't know...First he said he was happy to have kids, but now he's completely disappeared. I don't know if I wasn't good enough or he got killed or hurt."
Abram looked a bit confused. Normally he didn't understand what it meant when his father wouldn't be with him. Surely he would come back for them. "I'm sure he'll come back...he has to or..." He didn't know what to think either. He looked over at his sister Abby.

Abby look at their mother."Don't say that...Daddy is okay,i promise.No body should leave you because your a great mommy!"She gave a positive smile even though they both were down.Addy seemed like she really didn't understand,but she wanted to keep them on the positive side.Playfully nipping at Abram she tumbled over to her mother nuzzling her."Don't worry mommy...We'll be okay without daddy until he comes back."

Ginger lightly smiled with a little relief. At least Abby was taking it pretty well. If her children could accept what happened to their father then they would be alright in the least. "Alright, but I know of some great spots where they got good fruit."
Abram chuckled at his sister. "Yeah basically what sister said, although I have to admit. I'm fine either way. We all are alive and well. What's to be sad about?"
