 Quest for a Persephone's Teardrop Something's gone wrong, and Demeter's powers are out of control. The seasons change from winter to fall, from fall to spring without warning, and the weather follows with equal fury.
It is up to you, merrymaker and guest of the great gods, to seek out the fabled flower said to restore Demeter even in the most violent of fits. This flower only grows in a a secluded valley, the location where Hades snatched Persephone and took her away to the land of the dead to make her his bride. These tiny purple flowers sprung up where the maiden's tears fell onto the ground and are called Persephone's Teardrops.
Unfortunately for you, the location of this little valley is sacred and it is forbidden to be told to mortals. Dionysus, Ariadne, and Demeter can do nothing to help you - that is, almost nothing.
For Ariadne has clues wrapped in riddles that will lead you to the sacred site. If you can guess the answer to a riddle, you can travel a little closer to the valley and to Persephone's Teardrops and eventually be the first one to pluck the little flowers in order to present them to Demeter. But only a few flowers grow at a time, so only one guest can be the champion.

InfoHow does this work?The first riddle will be given to you. When you think you know the answer to the riddle, PM lilchibiusa with the heading "Riddle 1 Answer." You will get two guesses. If you cannot guess after two tries, then you forfeit the quest and return to the Celebration empty-handed.
Records will be kept of those who attempted to answer the riddles and failed, so do not try to deceive the gods! Dire consequences await those who do.What type of riddles?The gods are vain, and rightfully so. These riddles center around the great deeds and figures of Olympus and those things that relate to them.
All the answers to the riddles relate to Greek mythological figures or items in some way. Though there may be references in the clues to contemporary or pop culture, the answer will be in keeping with the Greek mythology theme of the 8th Annual Ball.What is the prize?Great reward lies in wait for the hero who can find the sacred flower and calm Demeter's powers.
The winner will receive a Love Song for their reward. However, the gods are generous in their appreciation. The second and third runners-up will receive a Charon and Gift of the Gods, respectively.Are you ready?The first riddle goes as follows:
