Leon stalked through the solemn trees his dark brown antlers blending with the branches as he stopped to sharpen them against the bark. He was silent almost apathetic in expression His powerful body moving effortlessly. His neck muscles rippled as he went to work at his horns out of a force of habit.
Always be vigilant.
Always be prepared.
If you fell lax then you would become weak.
This he would not allow himself.
His three long lion like tails with matching brown tufts swaying lazily. As he shook his head his ice blue eyes roamed over the forest. His belts clicking a discordant jangle as he moved father in.

The forest had been silent all morning, tense as the preditor lurked in the bushes. Sarla had grown restless durring the night and hunted for hours when dawn came. She had finished her meal more than an hour ago and still the forest would not stir. So when she heard the crashing of tree branches, the clinking of metal, Sarla went on high alert. While she wasn't territorial, she knew that not many herla would venture this far into the forest alone.
Getting to her hooves, Sarla slowly moved through the undergrowth, ducking her head low to dodge her horns from the low branches. The less noise she made the more she could hear him, the easier it would be to find this other herla.

Leon wasn't about hiding his position this early morn. He simply was seeking solitude. However his mercenary senses were always honed sharp. Again, if you were prepared even the worst case scenario was not cause for panic.
He sensed an approach. It did not seem to have an intent to attack, but was cautious.
He inhaled.
Female.
Yet he caught no sharp spike of fear on the air. Keeping note of that, he minded his steps as he continued on.

Sarla stopped herself behind some tall bushes, barely sticking her nose out the other side of them to see. She knew he would pass soon, ahead of her was nothing but trees and very low brush. It bothered her that she did not know the scent of this herla, let alone there was another in this area and she had not know it! With utter determination on finding out who it was, she settled to wait it out.

Leon sensed he was being watched. But he was no threat to this unknown female unless she attacked him. Continuing forward he kept his head and tails high posture open and non threatening even though his ice blue eyes swept the area. "I know you're there, I've caught your scent as you've caught mine. I don't like to play games he said coolly.

Sarla snorted in annoyance, well it didn't seem like he wanted a fight. A shame. She slowly pushed her way through the bushes out into the open to view him better. "I am surprised to see another herla so far out here into the forest." She was wary, of course, but something about this hind told her that he was no threat.

"I do what I want and go where I will I need no protection." He watched her coolly his sharp antlers cutting the air as he sharply turned his head to keep her in his sight. Never let an unknown herla have your back even if they seem harmless. "Besides I could say the same to you", he added tails slashing behind him like whips.

Sarla rolled her eyes, males. "I have lived here for some time now and know the dangers of these place. You on the other hand are new." She began to step carefully towards him, wanting a better look at this hart.

Leon Raised an eyebrow. "So, Just because I'm new in a new place I should be cautious, but you, who have lived here all your life shouldn't be? Even though the land changes, and new herla pop up like leaves?" He tilted his head. That is either illogical, or arrogant. He says softly. Not an accusing or rude tone, no, but simply stating fact. He watched she approached him. His eyes sweeping her form out of warriors habit. His hooves were steady as he waited for her response. "Besides when I am in a new place I make a point to familiarize myself with the area fairly quickly less factors to be concerned with this way."

She snorted in annoyance, he had clearly stated the same thing she had done previously. Sarla chose to ignore his question and instead cautiously half circle him as she walked to him, getting a better view of him. Definitely a herla you didn't want to mess with. "Do you have a name?"

Leon eyed her. "As does everyone..." he muttered. "It's Leon." he said in a cool even tone, eye blue eyes following her motions. He braced his hooves.
