Page one starts the Morag Tong Missions. Mission #15 starts on page 2, and Mission #29 is as follows.

#29-Special Duties-Darys

This time you have to persuade a Dark Brotherhood member, Movis Darys, to become a Morag Tong member. xd

There’s two ways to this, and either way gets you another thread. With a Disposition of 70 or higher, he’ll turn over to the Morag Tong and work for your faction. If not, killing him is also an option (once a spy, always a spy). And Hlaalu pays for it as though it were a Writ.

Movis Darys will give you the Belt of Sanguine Denial (Block +5) if you can persuade him enough, or you can take the belt from his cold dead body. Get it now, because if not it’ll either go away forever when his corpse disappears, or you’d just have to make another second trip.

#30-Special Duties-Carecalmo

According to Hlaalu, Mehrunes Dagon worshippers are recruiting Dark Brotherhood members. You have to deliver an ultimatum to a cultist named Carecalmo: Knock it off, or prepare for a war.

But the ultimatum won’t always be issued. Carecalmo may just attack when you approach him inside Ashalmimilkala, the beatiful waterlogged shrine on an island west of Balmora.

And if he does, feel free to kill him. Even if he listens to you, he’s just going to attack you again when you reveal Hlaalu’s proposal (people never go easy when given an ultimatum). rolleyes

And what’s this? Carecalmo has another thread. It’s the Belt of Sanguine Martial Craft (Armorer +5). Take it and return to Hlaalu.

#31-Special Duties-Sublime

This could’ve been considered a Threads of the Webspinner quest, but Hlaalu asks you specifically to get this item.

It’s the Ring of Sanguine Sublime Wisdom (Alchemy +5) found on Anel Rethelas, found in Daedric ruin Yasammidan, west of Ald Velothi.

If you’ve traveled north of Gnisis around this area, you probably saw the giant bridges leading to a Dwemer ruin, Arkngthunch-Sturdumz. From that ruin, Yasammidan is just down the hill and across the water to the west.

It’s a bit tricky to get in due to debris in the water. You can’t get a direct approach unless you swim to the other side of the ruin.

Rethelas is on the ramp that leads to the shrine proper. Kill him and get your ring.

But this isn’t all. He has a friend. Mindeli Saren, who has the Belt of Sanguine Stolid Armor (Heavy Armor +5). Take it.

Now get back to the Grandmaster.

Hlaalu may not yet have anymore quests for you depending on rank. Take this as an opportunity to catch up on any other Writs or Threads you haven’t gotten to.

Once at Rank 7, get back to Hlaalu for more missions.

#32-Special Duties-Assernerairan

The Morag Tong isn’t the only hidden organization in Vivec. The Dark Brotherhood’s got one hidden under St. Olms, the shrine of Assernerairan. Durus Marius, a Dark Brotherhood leader, is there. Hlaalu wants you, of course, to kill him.

It’s located in the St. Olms Underworks (sewers), and you can’t really miss the guarded door. But be prepared.

All you have to do is kill Marius, but since you’re now being pummeled by three Dark Brotherhood members at once, plus any summons they’ve got, you may just want to get rid of all of them. sweatdrop

You’ll be thankful though. They have a buttload of threads on them. The Belts of Sanguine Sureflight (Marksman +5), Sanguine Hewing (Long Blade +5), Sanguine Balanced Armor (Medium Armor +5), and Sanguine Deep Biting (Axe +5).

I think Sanguine’s favorites were belts. rolleyes

But despite how much you got from this, there’s still a lot more. Hlaalu rewards you with 2,000 gold, and now you must prepare for a killing blow to the Dark Brotherhood.

#33-Special Duties-Ald Sotha

The Dark Brotherhood’s headquarters itself isn’t in Vivec, but it’s close. If you adventured around the Ascadian Isles, you probably came across the shrine Ald Sotha sitting on the edge of the water.

If not, go a steady course northeast from Vivec through the lovely countryside, and you’ll find it. Inside, it’s a straight shot down the central ramp to the lower level and the shrine below. It’s possible you were here before in the Temple Quest “The Shoes of St. Rilms”.

Severa Magia, the Dark Brotherhood’s “Night Mother”, is rather hard to find. She’ll be in the southwestern room of the lower level, but there are Daedra in these areas.

Kill Magia and Llandrale Varam. From Magia, you’ll find (get ready for it): the Amulet of Sanguine Nimble Armor (Light Armor +5), the Glove of Sanguine Swiftblade (Short Blade +5), and the Ring of Sanguine Fluid Evasion (Unarmored +5). Varam, aside from the Shoes of St. Rilms (take these, even if you don’t plan on joining the Temple), you’ll find the Rings of Sanguine Red Wisdom (Destruction +5), Sanguine Transcendence (Conjuration +5), and Sanguine Transfiguring (Enchant +5).

A total of six more threads. Head back to headquarters.

#34-Special Duties-Grandmaster

You’re now Rank 8 and the Exalted Master of the Morag Tong. Becoming Grandmaster doesn’t involve any quest, per se.

Hlaalu wants to quit.

By tradition, the new Morag Tong Grandmaster executes the old one (kinda sad sad ), and Hlaalu will fight you, but he asks to depart from tradition and for you to allow him to retire gracefully. He’ll name you Grandmaster, and leave forever.

All you have to do is talk through dialogue. Nothing else is needed.

But, if you’re really into killing, and you want the Threads of the Webspinner that he now owns, go ahead and tell him you’re going to kill him. He’ll fight.

Do NOT do this, however, if you haven’t gotten all of the Threads yet. Once Hlaalu dies or retires, you can’t talk to him ever again. And no one else will receive them as he did.

Now, if you’re Grandmaster, you may go to the Grandmaster Writs section, and continue on with a few more killings.

But sharpen your sword, because these ones are the hardest.
