#1-Finding the Morag Tong
The Morag Tong is a guild dedicated to assassins that perform three types of executions: public, private, and House Wars executions. This faction is also sanctioned by the Empire, so it’s technically all legal. 3nodding You can only get in by having skill and honor. The Morag Tong is also the sworn enemy of the Dark Brotherhood.
There are four basic branches of the Morag Tong quests: Writs, Grandmaster Writs, The Threads of the Webspinner, and Special Duties.
But your first quest without being given one…you have to find the place. ninja
Headquarters is well hidden, and it’s not hidden in plain sight like the Thieves Guilds. rolleyes
If you talk around to the other guild branches in Ald’ruhn, Balmora, or Sadrith Mora, you’ll learn it’s in Vivec, but nothing more. Once in Vivec, you’ll be told it’s in the Arena Canton. And there, that it’s nearby.
But if you’re like me, and you explored the Arena Storage in a greedy attempt to take everything it holds, you probably unlocked a well locked door and found a trapdoor inside, leading to the Arena’s Hidden Area.
This trapdoor takes you into the vast three levelled suite, full with bedrooms and shop and trainer, of the Morag Tong headquarters.
And in the bedroom at the back of the top level, you’ll find Eno Hlaalu.

#2-Joining the Morag Tong
Joining requires a quest as well. But Hlaalu is already impressed that you found the place, and will allow you to join the guild, even if you’ve just started the game.
But you have to pass another test.
Hlaalu will give you a writ, or a written assassination order. Your target is Feruren Oran, a spellsword who is in the Elven Nations Cornerclub in Vivec.
But here’s a small explanation of what this means:
In Morrowind, there are three different ways to kill people. The first way, by taunting the person until they attack, and allowing you to fight back without paying for it later (to the guards anyway…depending on who you kill, you may piss off other factions). Way number two, flat out killing the person and either running from the scene or paying through the nose. In the Morag Tong, you’d probably get a death warrant just for doing your job the way it’s supposed to be done. gonk
However, there’s a way. Despite being hidden and full of assassins, and by name it’s somehow related to the very bad Camonna Tong, the Morag Tong isn’t a criminal organization. You will have the authority to execute people in open warfare within the Great Houses.
So way number three? Writs. These are basically Get Out of Jail Free cards. After assassinating someone, present this to any guards, and it will take away one assault and one murder from your record.
This isn’t a liscense to kill though. You have to be responsible (or just taunt people, it’s a lot easier on your record), and the writs just prevent you from having to pay 1,040 gold per kill, and they prevent your reputation from going down. The news of you going about killing people will spread, and people will like you less.
But do NOT lose these. The guild doesn’t make copies.
Elven Nations is located in the northwest corner of the upper level of the Hlaalu Canton. Oran’s downstairs, and he’s quite capable of fighting, so be careful. His loot is crap, but he does have a good weapon you might want to take.
Hlaalu will let you in now that you’ve done the job. Welcome to the Morag Tong. twisted

#3-Writs This is basically the way you will do things in this faction. The Writs are pieces of paper stating the location and the person that you’re supposed to go to assassinate.
You can get these, or basically, the quests, from any Morag Tong guild member above Rank 7 (Master). Eno Hlaalu, of course, in Vivec, Ethasi Rilvayn in Balmora, Goren Andarys in Ald’ruhn, and Dunsalipal Dun-Ahhe in Sadrith Mora.

#4-Writs-Assassinate Odaishah Yasalmibaal and Toris Saren
Go after Toris Saren first. He’s in Saren Manor in the Redoran Plaza in Vivec’s Redoran Canton, and attacks after you talk to him. He’s got a nice Wild Shardblade which you should take with you before heading out. 3nodding
Yasalmibaal is further north, and an Ashlander. He’s alone on a rocky island northwest of Tel Fyr. He’ll be in his yurt, and not holding anything good.
Return to any quest-giver (Sadrith Mora’s is closest), and collect 500 gold for each assassination.

#5-Writs-Assassinate Sarayn Sadus, Idroso Vendu, and Ethal Seloth
If you’re still in Sadrith Mora, simply go west of Tel Fyr to a cave called Zaintirari, where Sarayn Sadus will be.
Unfortunately, it won’t be easy. gonk He’s got bandit cronies. However, the loot is fair. 4laugh Dils Heladren, the first bandit you encounter, has bonemold armor pieces.
The next one is a double-header, and you’ll get some background information this time (you don’t commonly get info in these quests). These last two are apparently killers, but there isn’t enough evidence against them. Someone wants justice served.
You’ll find them in the Temporary Housing in the Telvanni Plaza of the Telvanni Canton. Go to Hlaalu once you finished (he’s closest), and sadly there’s not much loot there. Hlaalu will give you 500 for each assassination.

#6-Writs-Assassinate Guril Retheran and Galasa Uvayn
You’ll find Guril Retheran in the downstairs level of the Flowers of Gold Cornerclub in Vivec’s Redoran Canton. He comes from money, and so does his equipment. He’s got a nice Fiend Tanto, and more importantly, a Glove of Sanguine Horny Fist (it raises the wearer’s Hand-to-Hand by five points).
Take this item. Hlaalu will want to see it.
NOTE: If you're in House Redoran, this will be tricky. Upon talking to the guy, instead of being able to taunt him to attack you, he'll simply say "Oh no, the Morag Tong have found me!", and your only option is "Goodbye". So you'll have to make the first strike, and House Redoran shall be angry with you. You can always make ammends with them, unless this is your second offense...in which you're screwed. sweatdrop
Galasa Uvayn, unfortunately, offended a Redoran lord, and was probably reported for that. She’s a worthy opponent, a spellcaster, and she’s found in the Hlaalu Treasury of Vivec, and carries a Dire Flameblade.
Hlaalu will give you 1,000 gold for each of the hits.
He’ll also take the Glove of Sanguine Horny Fist that you found on Retheran. You have the option of giving it or keeping it, but if you keep it, his disposition goes down quite a bit. Giving it to him doesn’t necissarily mean you’ve lost it forever (you’ll find out why later on).
This might seem unimportant now, but later it leads to the Threads of the Webspinner quests, where you have to collect 25 more Sanguine Threads. There are 27 in all, but Hlaalu already has the first one (Sanguine Enterprise, raises Mercantile by five points). But this will all come into better detail later on.

#7-Writs-Assassinate Mavon Drenim and Tirer Belvayn
Someone forgot to tell you something before you headed out…
These two are not normal targets. They’re both strong spellcasters, and they both attack you on sight.
They will both summon monsterous creatures, but as you should know, attack them and not their assistants. A mage is not good in close combat, and their summons disappear after you kill them.
You’ll also want to take their weapons. A Hellfire Staff from Drenim, and a Silver Staff of War from Belvayn.
But you must find them first. Drenim is easy to find, located in the Velothi Dome in Vivec’s Telvanni Plaza (on the topmost floor, accompanied by two strong wizards). Belvayn however, is in a dungeon called Shara. You’re only told that Shara is located on an island southwest of Sheogorad.
That’s basically like telling someone that a city in Mexico is southwest of Texas. stare
The closest reference point is Ashmelech, an Ancestral Tomb that is home to Vampires. Follow the path north, swim across the channel, and on this island, go to the branch of the path to the right, and at the next fork, to the left. Shara should be at the end of this road.
This time you get 1,000 per kill.

#8-Writs-Assassinate Mathyn Bemis and Brilnosu Llarys
Mathyn Bemis is local, and can be found in the Hlaalu Ancestral Vault in the Hlaalu Compound of Vivec. The tomb may seem abandoned, but he’s got friends. But keep concentrated on the target.
Be careful, because this can turn into a nasty fight.
Once finished, loot the corpses. Two of the baddies will have bonemold pieces and a Fiend Battleaxe, and Bemis himself has a Cruel Sparkblade.
Brilnosu Llarys can be found in stronghold Hlormaren, west of Balmora. It’s more like dealing with a rebellious teenager. Though you’ll find quite a bit of fighting among the rest of the place, she’s on the roof, which should help your fight.
Llarys has good stuff too: two pieces of ebony armor and the Dwemer halberd Stormforge. 3nodding
Each assassination gives you another 1,000 gold.

#9-Writs-Assassinate Navil and Ranes Ienith
It is possible you’ve already killed them.
If you’re in the Thieves Guild, you probably remember a mission (called "Kill Ienith"), where you had to go to Dren Plantation, and inside the villa, unlock a heavily locked door to the basement, finding two Commona Tong members, and proceeding to kill them.
If so, well done. If not, be careful, because they’re strong, with glass weapons that paralyze you for quite too long. Though once you complete killing them, you’ll find exceptional loot (10k in gold alone), and then get 2,000 gold from a quest-giver.
That’s it for the writs for now. You can’t go on until you have finished the Main Quest mission Destroy Dagoth and made Grandmaster (see Special Duties).

#10-Grandmaster Writs
Once becoming Grandmaster, completing the previous writs, and killing Dagoth Ur, you’ll find new writs have popped up.
These last ones are the four most difficult of the assassinations. sweatdrop
They will be the hardest to kill.
Though you may consider not doing these. You’ll be asked to kill some of the most honorable men (and the craziest woman eek ) on Vvardenfell. Plus, if you belong to one of their factions, you might regret it once you get back to that faction (they’ll wonder where they’re councilors have gone). So only proceed if you feel up to the difficult high level challenges.
But now that you’ve become Nerevarine, heck, you may not care. You’re practically a god now. You can do what you want, right? rolleyes

#11-Grandmaster Writs-Assassinate Larrius Varro
First off, there’s the Imperial Legion commandant, Larrius Varro. You can find him in the Fort Moonmoth Barracks (Fort Moonmoth is south and east of Balmora).
Despite most likely being equipped with Sunder or Keening (and of course Wraithguard), he’s a difficult foe.
He’s got plain armor that you probably already have if you’re in this faction, but his sword, the Temreki, Shackler of Souls, is worth it.
Seriously, who passes up a sword with such a terrifying name? twisted
A quest-giver will reward you with 4,000 gold.

#12-Grandmaster Writs-Assassinate Baladas Demnevanni
Say it ain’t so! Who would wish to kill this amazing Telvanni sorcerer? (and I really do mean that)
Demnevanni is a stronger opponent than most other Telvanni brethren of his, and puts up a good fight.
Unfortunately, he hasn’t much loot. He was more a man of mind than a collector. And you may walk away feeling a little unhappy for the loss of this wizard. gonk But you do receive 5,000 gold.

#13-Grandmaster Writs-Assassinate Dram Bero
Not much is known about Bero, except he’s in the Hlaalu Council, and he lives in Vivec.
You should know where he is, after confronting him in the main quest, and/or from being in House Hlaalu. 3nodding He’s in the St. Olms Canton’s Haunted Manor.
It looks vacant, but it’s not. Past the locked door down a ramp is the man you’re after.
You’ll find Bero, and his bodyguard, in the room.
Once you kill Bero, you’ll probably see the message that appears when you kill someone important to the main quest. Don’t worry. You’ve already done that, so his death will not mean anything bad now. Though House Hlaalu might not like it.
Go and collect your reward of 3,000 gold.

#14-Grandmaster Writs-Assassinate Therana
It is possible she’s already dead. Several reasons why.
Telvanni councilor Therana may have been killed in the process of becoming Telvanni Hortator, due to being unable to talk to her properly.
Or, you may have killed her while doing faction quests for her. This is reasonable. She’s insane, and attacks whenever you do something for her.
Or even in passing, you may have gotten frustrated and just snuffed her out. It’s understandable. sweatdrop
The quest-giver will say she’s mad and dangerous, and you have to end her insanity.
She’s in the Upper Tower of Tel Branora. She’s probably well skilled, so be careful.
Therana’s proved her worth. You get 10,000 gold for killing her.
