Personality:Facial expressions of boredom. Gazes of apathy. It is easy to surmise Cerul’s behavior just from observing his posture and body language—he is a cold, uncaring kid. It is difficult for him to find interest in anything other than himself. His emotions never get out of control. In fact, some would even say that they rarely ever surface to begin with. Cerul doesn’t like or regard others highly and his attitude shows it. He isn’t completely socially inept or extremely silent, but he isn’t warm, amiable, or outgoing by any stretch of the imagination.
Cerul will respect power. He personally seeks it, always aiming to get stronger. If authority demands of him, he will usually oblige. However, if given to chance to rise above a higher power, Cerul will gladly take it. He obeys law as he interprets it and applies it to himself. What he would prefer to do is shape the law according to how he wants, ultimately bending only to his own will. Though not the most cooperative of mages, he will work with people if required for a greater goal in mind or for personal reward.
In battle, Cerul’s demeanor doesn’t change that much. He remains collected, introverted, and controlled. But if Cerul is in a clear position of superiority, he won’t be afraid to show it with mild arrogance or caustic ridicule. Still, Cerul does not particularly enjoy making fun of others either. He recognizes that swiftly removing a problem or defeating an enemy is better than being a fool and dragging out something, allowing for plans to backfire and advantages to be reversed.
Unbeknownst to Cerul, his chilling aura and dark nature is not irreversible. With the loss he has felt and the events that have transpired thereafter, he has wandered down the path of darkness. His past has left him bitter, misanthropic, and distrusting. Yet he is not a completely lost cause. It is uncertain whether he will remain in darkness forever. He can return to the light, but it will not be an easy journey.
