Deadly Jewels
The Earth trembles beneath my feet.
I cannot flee this fate,
I can't.
Shining rubies flit by
And the last sight I see,
Is a world of diamonds.
A world of glass that splinters
and shatters,
and breaks
Until the world screams
Untitled
I dream of the night,
of blood running deep.
Running like water
and burning like fire
The humanity of those who die,
The hope of those who dream.
Why should I,
Be the one to bring Earth?
Why should I,
Be the one who breathes air?
Unfortunatly, a week after we had finished the magazine and sent it to the publisher, I came up with six other poems that the staff loved. (I am on the staff too!)
