"Ocelot," Qi repeated, wrinkling his nose at the funny sounding word. "Little," he repeated disappointedly. "I'm little too, Huojin uses me as a leaning post sometimes, and it's not as funny as he thinks it is. But that's okay if the ocelot is little, I can still ride on a little leopard because I'm little, but Huojin can't because he's too big, so there." He looked smug. Following Xiu, he asked, "Are you a legendary hero? How many bad guys have you killed? Do you feed them to Bai Hu? Do you use a legendary sword? It isn't cursed, is it? Are you cursed? Is that why your hair looks like a girl's?"
He paused to catch his breath. "Are we there yet?"

Xiu finally burst out laughing. "Why yes," he exclaimed in a deep manly voice, poking Qi lightly in the tummy. "I slay enemies who ask too many questions. Bai Hu enjoys eating them especially when they're small little boys. I'll also have you know that legendary hero's ALWAYS have long hair. It's a rule of course. What better way to fight enemies that to whip them in the face with your long hair?"
Xiu felt like an idiot chattering on like he was, but he didn't mind too much. There was no one around so it wasn't THAT big of a deal.
"We're here now, actually." Xiu smiled again as he motioned down a tree shaded lane. At the end sat the temple, tall and proud wearing a curved red roof. Xiu quickly led Qi down the path, knowing the little boy was excited. He was excited as well. Huojin may have won the battle, but he'd won the war.
