Karael is calm in an almost unnerving manner. Notoriously quiet and introverted, his loyalty to his guild seems to be based mostly on the opportunity to use his magic. He only engages in conversation or in any other sort of social interaction if someone else initiates it with him. He doesn't take any particular pleasure in combat or in doing battle, though, in a rough sense, he seems to enjoy using his power whenever he can (That is to say, the only reason it's apparent that he enjoys it is that he tries to at any opportunity). The look about him is placid, his eyes almost dead-looking and deprived of any real passion for anything... However, his abilities were more than enough to get him into a guild.

__________BIO/HISTORY_______________________________________
Bio/ History:
Karael started off as an apprentice to a store owner in Hargeon Town, learning a good deal of his magic from a tome he found in there on Magical Theory. However, Hargeon Town's Magic selection is dismally limited, and as such, he needed to do some traveling before being able to effectively use his brand of Anti-Magic, which is used against Mages that employ magical projectiles and utilizes them as attacks back at them, though not containing any elemental residue they had earlier, but being raw Magic Power being flung back at the same magnitude. However, there was something that was missing in the theory presented in the destitute tome in the Hargeon Town shop, so he began saving his Jewels before taking a trip over to Magnolia Town, the home of the Fairy Tail Guild and a place where there would be a more substantial source of magical information. Sure enough, he found what he was looking for, but realized that to effectively use this magic required him to have a great control over his own state of mind, making it neutral to be able to handle magic that's being backed up by emotion or any other sort of mental amplifier.
Traveling a while to learn more about how to use his magic and using it at any opportunity he can, Karael was approached by a representative of the Phantom guild, which was being threatened by an ever-growing Fairy Tail guild. While uninterested in guild politics, Karael was willing to join to gain a more substantial source of income in the form of the rewards from commissions, which provided pay far more jewels than his job at the Hargeon Town shop. While he may not be the most zealous member of Phantom, he's willing to help them simply on the grounds that doing so would allow him to use his magic.

Weapon Name & Appearance: None
Primary Type Of Magic:
Absorption (Anti-Magic)
Karael's magic is based on the energy of the spells being used against him. While his abilities are ineffectual against Take-Over Magic, Celestial Spirits that rely on brute force, Maker Spells or Requipping Melee Weapons, he's particularly effective against mages who use projectiles that are conjured and fired magically. He can't contain magic that's affects an area bigger than his own body, and after absorbing a certain amount of magic (Namely, a magnitude equal to the magic that would effect an area larger than his body), he must release a bolt of the magic energy he absorbed at his opponents, or else he'll suffer physical injury. In addition, magical power is used every time he absorbs the magic to remove its elemental or altered properties to convert it into pure magic. Releasing it also costs magic power to use. However, the amount of magic used is almost negligible and exhaustion starts setting in only after a very extended combat (somewhere in the area of 3-5 hours of fighting).
However, in regard to magic that exceeds his capacity to absorb, he can absorb just below his capacity and release it... However, this requires him to either take the remaining brunt of the attack or dodge soon after absorbing, which, needless to say, is difficult to do. However, his power is something to be reckoned with, as some of the more powerful spells can easily be absorbed and blasted back... However, like anything, this skill increases with practice, and the only way he can practice is by fighting other mages...
