(edits in his response to chaos's post cuz hes a durf and missed it, may just notice Theta Nine as they're traveling, if it works out that way.)

If only he couldn't connect with people so easily, it would make Zeta Seven's life much easier here. No need for feelings or emotions or concerns for others, and if he could fake it. Bonus. Damn his ever bleeding heart, it was going to be the death of him one day.
"I'll do the best I can, Gam Eight" he told her as he ached to give her a reassuring hug. :"Hopefully my nose for trouble won't be my undoing, till we meet again." He walked away from his auburn colored sister in arms, head held high and tears held back. It was obvious that they might never meet again except by a miracle, but he had to stay strong. There were others who needed him too.

Prioritize. It was becoming very clear that it was impossible to save all he held dear, much to his stomachs dismay at the thought as it lurched in protest to his realization. it was sad, but true none-the-less. The figures all had the same agenda. to promote ruthlessness without honor, do that and survive, fail and suffer to your demise. It was the only truth hidden in this fog.

Understanding it was one thing, practicing it was another. the jokes that Bones and him shared. Gamma Eights and his own mutual trust. Was it really possible for him to be ruthless? To turn their back on old allies like Eight probably did? To kill someone on their deathbed like Zeta Eleven did?
Would he have to learn to?

At least Theta two was there to bring him out of his mulling, he would have never have pegged himself for a brooder, oh the funny thing that is amnesia. Indeed, if passion and honor had to be used, noone would be able to stop us." He teased right back to her, laughing uproariously as his lungs burned from such use.And I still owe you one as well, I hope those boots were made for dancing as well as a** kicking." He asked halfheartedly as he Dug the toes of one of his boots into the sand. "By all means, let us be on our way, ladies first of course." He said in that sickeningly sweet tone as he bowed to the lass and brought his hand into a graceful arch and followed after her. "Y'see, I still have my manners." they would keep each other sane during the trip, they needed that ever so badly. And evil pills, Sanity and evil pills.

Zeta Seven really hoped that Bones had that stuff in his kit, as he followed Theta Twos footsteps in the stark white sand.

Standing up and checking out his bandages with a few twirls- as though that would help him get a better view- Imani gave a nod of satisfaction. "Cool, man. Now my guts will stay inside." He looked around and saw that everyone seemed to be heading out- relatively unscathed. He'd probably be following Gamma Eight, wherever she ended up going. "Ready when you is."

Gamma 12 was going to be following Gamma 8. Frankly, she didn't see much pain or problem in forming another group. Certainly it would shake things up again if their previous members came back, but 12 had one thing to know to be certain:

She couldn't afford to hinge all of her hopes on that first group surviving. They were already missing two out of twelve people, and that was just from their own group.

What if people from another group just vanished in that same way as well?

"I think it's the reasonable option to stick with you, 8."

Loosening her hold on worry, Theta-two sighed a slight relief at the sight of Thyme bandaging himself. "Very much so, boyo," She chided with a slight smile under the mask, crossing her arms loosely against her chest, twisting on her feet to peer out at the black ocean in the distance. The sand was thick under her feet, but she couldn't remove her boots and feel the sensation of sand between her toes. She was beginning to think that in her past life, that kind of thing would have made her melt. "And neither am I. So lets keep ourselves in good shape, huh?" Grinning slightly, she let herself ease away from the twist and tangle of thoughts in her head. She couldn't think on them now, in the company of others. Everything would get muddled and messy, and she couldn't let that happen, especially with the way that there was finally a shred of ease around the beach.

Eyes lifting at Thyme's words, Theta-two smiled slightly. "I imagine if we follow his steps," She gestured carelessly down the sandy slopes, where small dents in the sand still shone like small arrows in the right direction, "we'll find him sooner or later. I don't think Bones was sprinting last I saw him, yeah? And maybe we'll find Fedora along the way." Her tone lilted with almost-worry, though it was gone so quickly that one would be hard pressed to find it hidden in her strong, passioned tone. Turning to listen to Zeta Seven's own words, she laughed slightly. She was beginning to like him, despite the messy situations in which they'd managed to meet. Had she heard the others thoughts, the others idea of prioritizing, she would have begun to think about the same thing herself. Because if she planned to win the games and pass their tests, thats exactly what she would have to do. The Theta couldn't afford to let it get messy again, because that would only lead to the end. For her. And for the people she wanted to protect.

"No one indeed. We would be invincible, yeah? A force to be reckoned with."
Laughing in return, she let her voice mingle with his, a strangely calming sound to her ears. How could they laugh, in a situation like this? But those questions were becoming repetitive in her mind. So she shoved all of the questions aside and simply let her instincts run rampant instead. There was a world of war all around them, but if she filled every thought with that focus, then she would go insane. Or, at least, she would go insane a whole lot quicker. "Oh, cheri, these boots were made for dancing, and thats just what they'll do." She laughed, feeling a p***k of familiarity in the words, even though she couldn't quite say where from. "But whoever said you cant dance while kicking someones a** at the same time? Sounds like fun, doesn't it?" Moving after the Zeta, she chuckled softly, looking back at Thyme and the rest. Dipping her head slightly, she began to move along the beach as well, because it was time for them all to move. And hopefully they would find themselves in the same place when they paused to take a breath again.

"Oh, why thank you, kind sir."
A laugh, and then she offered her hand almost teasingly when he caught up, a smile pulling at her lips under the mask. She swore she wouldn't get attached... but it didn't hurt to play a little with words and keep each other sane on the way after Bones, right? "We'll see about that. Manners are a lot more than 'you first.'" She chuckled softly, and disappeared with him on the way after Bones. It was true, they would keep each other sane on the trip. And if only they could pop those pills, then maybe everything would be a lot simpler.

"I'll keep myself in good shape if you will," Thyme replied to Tattoo with a quiet chuckle. That was one assurance he thought he could follow through on. By chance or by design, he was a medic. Given enough time and enough attempts, he could even restore everyone to perfect health. It wasn't quite invincibility, but it was attainable.

But would he want to? Should he want to? Only thirteen could survive, if the man in the classroom was to be trusted. He shoved the thoughts away. The management's not winning so easily, not so soon.

Thyme turned his head to study the trail in the sand. "Much better than following a trail of bread crumbs," he noted, reaching down to run his fingers over the sand some distance from the trail. They were not Hansel and Gretel, and what waited at the end of the path was infinitely better than a gingerbread house with a witch inside.

How long would the bootprints remain? Long enough, he decided, feeling his spirits lift with the prospects of a quest that didn't involve, oh, beating up others (he still shied away from the thought of killing) for a pendant. A vision of elaborate sand castles filled his mind briefly, bringing a sense of melancholy. He wanted so much to build something that would last in the chaos of these byzantine games.

With that on his mind, he moved away from their former playing field (their battleground), following the footprints in the sand. Dully aware of an incoming text message, he read the cell phone screen with a faint shake of his head. Just how many pendants were there on this island?

Gamma Eight nodded, still struck with the image of standing helpless while Twelve's partner beat her senseless. Hopefully that would leave some time soon. She nodded.

"Come on. Let's see if we can't gain some more allies..."

Seeing the others leave, Imani went and shadowed Gamma 8. “’Ey! Y’all can’t ditch me already!” Walking next to her footprints, he followed the group that went in the same direction as Delta Four.

(( Sorry for disappearance guys, RL issues. D: ))

Alpha Eight had truly hit rock bottom after his last attack. While blindly charging had proved beneficial in dealing some small, barely significant amount of damage. It did lead him to be uncharacteristically clumsy. Usually the first to have a plan well thought out before taking action, the role of the sword combined with his own nerves had taken their toll, mentally and physically. Rebounding from his last attack, he had hoped taking a few steps back would given him precious time, but all it ended up doing was leading him into a thicket of fog. Fog that consumed everything, each sense completely useless. At first, he tried running back towards his group. This was highly counterproductive as he ended up running in the complete opposite direction. Brilliant move really. As adrenaline pumped through his veins, Eight ran faster and faster, hoping to return to the fray where his ultimate prize awaited. However, his efforts only placed him further away.

"Hello!? Can you guys hear me?"

His voice seemed trapped in the fog and distress set in. He wasn't as close as he had hoped and now he was forced to deal with his grave mistake. He couldn't find his way back to the beach, so it was only logical to head north, the group's original desitination. They had only just met, but Alpha Eight needed their protection if he was going to survive. Survival was everything. As he started to calm down, he felt the buzzing of his cell phone.

"Four days... Damn...Looks like I'm on the clock now. Haha"

Nervous laughter, though it was slightly amusing that he had unintentionally removed himself from the fray of the hooded figure's game. With the adrenaline rush fading and the pressure of the battle behind him, he was able to calm down and think. He had obviously run in the wrong direction. Not due south, but apparently due north. Good to get a head start, but he wasn't looking forward to explaining this to Zeta Seven and the others.
