Hyakinthos: *Growling as he repeatedly stomps on a dandelion at his feet in frustration, lips curled back to reveal gritted teeth.* Damn that legless shade... *Huffs and stomps about.*
Shakespeare: *Blinks at the other cautiously keeping a distance*
Hyakinthos: *His grumbling slowly quiets as he runs out of steam, still frustrated, but his thoughts a little clearer.* Mama was right about him, but... *He huffs and paces in a circle, wobbling occasionally as he almost trips over his own hooves.*
Shakespeare: *Blinks* >.> Um... you okay? *spoken to dark yearling* You looked a bit upset.
Hyakinthos: *Loudly sucks in a breath as he turns his glance up from the grass. His red eyes stare piercingly at the unfamiliar yearling, shocked and embarrassed. But, he tries to brush it off as he can't let anyone else know about his situation with the legless shade.* I'm fine... *He heads towards the green hart, rear weaving through the air.* I ate one of those flowers and was disappointed by the taste, that's all. *He grits his teeth, hoping this yearling will buy such a poorly crafted lie. He glances around warily, if this herla called him out on it, what would he do? It seemed like there were witnesses about.*
Shakespeare: *Blushes slightly with embarrassment* Ah.. yes of course. Those don't taste good at all. *Doesn't buy the lie but isn't brave enough to confront the other* Um... well.. if you needed help maybe I could ... *Jumps a little* I mean finding something more tasty of course.
Hyakinthos: Help? *His face darkens as he glances over his shoulder, a soft rumble escaping him as he turns back to the yearling.* What makes you think I need help? *He sneers, offended.* Just because I only have two legs doesn't make me any less capa- Oh. *Blood rushes to his face as he paws at the dirt.* Well, that would depend on what kind of food we're talking about. *He leans forward towards the stranger.* You don't look like a meat eater.
Shakespeare: Ah yes I didn't mean to sound insensitive but well... I like fish if that counts for meat. Otherwise I'm fine with berries and honey. *wishes his dad was around to go hunt down that sweet stuff* Where are my manners, my name is Shakespeare, what's yours?
Hyakinthos: Fish? *He runs his tongue over his teeth, salivating at the thought.* Ah... But we'd have to catch them, wouldn't we? *He stares at the grass, eyebrows furrowed together with worry. He sniffs loudly and stomps about, before stopping and staring at Shakespeare.* What's honey? *He tilts his head, rear whisping about as he stood there.* My Mama named me Hyakinthos, but most people just call me Hya.
Shakespeare: Nice to meet you Hya... sorry I don't have any nicknames that work. *Shrugs then sniffs the air lightly, eyes closed in thought* I'm no good at catching fish... besides I don't have a taste for them right now. *Smirks slightly* Honey? *Still sniffing the air he can smell the faint scent of the sticky substance.* Well my father is in love with the stuff. He only once showed me how to get it but I'm forbidden to try on my own. *Shudders at the thought of bees stinging him but really wants to impress his possible new friend* I could show you were to get some. It's really sticky and super sweet.
Hyakinthos: *Shrugs, a wing brushing against the other hart with the movement.* Not having a nickname is fine. Let me know if you decide you want one though, I have a friend who is excellent at giving them to people. *He snickers as he thinks of Bacilio.* I can't really catch fish either... *He stares off into the distance, a bit forlorn.* Then lead on! But why are you forbidden to get this honey stuff?
Shakespeare: *Blinks* Oh.. I'll have to talk to this friend of yours. A nickname would sound lovely. *smiles while leading the way to the honey patch* Well my father says its dangerous because of the bees. They sting anything that would try to steal their honey. *Never got stung so has no idea how bad it is* My dad has hard skin so I guess they don't bother him. *Peers out past a group of bushes* Here we are, the hive is up there though. *Directs his snout toward the tree with a hive of bees buzzing about*

Hyakinthos: I'll introduce you to him sometime, I'm sure he'd like to meet someone new. *He flashes a grin briefly, wondering what his friends were up to.* Bees, huh... *He swivels his head about, on the lookout for the insects.* I'm sure you and I are tough enough to handle some bugs... *He frowns, tilting his head back to look up at the bees nest.* Hmm... How the heck are we supposed to get that down? *He huffs.*
Shakespeare: *Looks sheepishly at the tree* That's the other problem. Father is good at tossing rocks up there to get the thing down. I'm still kind of practicing that but the bees will attack if we knock the hive down. *Glad they don't attack on impulse.*

Hyakinthos: *Frowns and looks up at the tree thoughtfully.* My brother would be good at throwing, but he's not around... *He sighed and pawed at the dirt.* Well, is there a way you know of to get them down without being attacked?

"Hmm, I'm not really sure, but King Father says he just runs away while the bees chase him. When they get tired he circles back to pick up his prize." Although he wasn't up to having to run around like a mad herla. "We could knock it down while hiding so the bees don't know what happened." Notices a hill just beyond the tree. "Up there, we can throw rocks and stay hidden til the bees run off."
