Cheetas are incredibly inbred because they died out to about ten a long time ago, so now they're all really related.

I wouldn't doubt it if it's true with cheetahs too- the gene pool for lions is just so thin anymore that there's no variation between one member and another > w< Not sure why exactly- but there are a lot of places where the populations of lions are really thinned out and isolated from other populations of lions and whatnot.
