Rex has had a fairly pleasant childhood so far! Although he can't always keep up with his father's expeditions and sometimes his stories seem pretty far-fetched, Rex and Royce get along great, especially when Papa brings hazelnuts. Truth be told, Rex is more of a mama's boy anyway, spending most of his time with Gnash. He enjoyed collecting resin with her, and it certainly came in handy: Rex earned his kickin' rad new legs as a yearling.
Now that he can run about like other herla, things can only get better from here!

Woah. Who's this fatso? No no, go ahead and say it, Hoyt knows it's true. He certainly makes no attempt to hide the cause of his heavy frame, seemingly always chewing on something or other. He's very easy to overlook otherwise, plain in color and markings. Actually, that red nose is pretty silly, and the mop of dirty blonde hair covering his eyes makes him look pretty dopey...
Personality;;
...But you'd be surprised. Sure, you could dismiss Hoyt as just some dumb hart with food always on his mind, but you'd only be half right! Food is constantly on his mind, yes, but his mind's got room for other things, too. Even if you can't see Hoyt's eyes, forever hidden by that curtain of hair, make no mistake. He's got a shrewd gaze that is always observing everyone and everything around him.
He doesn't speak up much, but when he does, Hoyt can be insightful, playfully sarcastic, a cheery hart that doesn't let much of anything get to him. No really, try to get him mad, Hoyt'll probably laugh you off and stuff his face. Infuriating? He knows it, and it's funny to him. Hoyt likes to laugh.
Strengths/Weaknesses;;
Confident and calm, Hoyt's not one to worry. Very easygoing and good-humored, things simply don't get to him! He lives a simple, happy life and is quite clearly content with it. Thing is, sometimes he's too chill. There isn't always room for other herla in his simple life. He can seem dismissive of others' concerns, too caught up in his philosophy of "don't sweat it" that he might seems callous when he doesn't know when to get serious!

Rev is a slippery kind of hart, slender and slick, hard to pin down 'cause he'll slip right outta your hooves. He's not a very trustworthy-looking fellow—really, Rev's smile does the exact opposite of putting a herla at ease. Always flashing those pearly whites, his grin is hungry, dangerous, and those eyes are like gazing into the dark ocean abyss.
He can move surprisingly silently when he wants, as though gliding through water, that graceful stalk even more unsettling. Rev is proud of the scars marring his body and is always earning more, often maiming himself intentionally because hey, he's gotta get his fix somewhere.
Personality;;
A herla driven by his desires, Rev will do whatever it takes to get what he wants. No worries, he's a simple hart with only simple needs. A savage glutton, he craves blood above all else, always on the move for his next meal or hell, he'll fight just to see some blood. Rev loves scenes, though by no means is he dumb. Reputation is everything, and although Rev is a clear troublemaker, he makes sure not to leave a trace of blood in the water, so to speak. That attracts the unsavory types, don't you know, and Rev hates competition.
He is arrogant, narcissistic, always preening, loves being the center of attention. Rev can be disturbingly charming, putting on fronts for others to see, win them over and make sure things are smooth, you know, don't make too many ripples in the water. It'd be bad to just scare them outright, too obvious. Nah, Rev knows that other herla look at him with suspicion, so he plays with it a little, dropping sinister hints or straight up sneaking up on them and scaring them with an immature shout.
He's just looking to have a little fun, is all.
Strengths/Weaknesses;;
You can probably guess the more obvious weaknesses. Rev's sure to always keep his fragile gills clean, and hates being out in the sun too long. Also an interesting weak spot is his nose—one well-aimed kick as he's paralyzed, he's learned that the hard way, but Nibbles is sure to protect her master. She makes a good ace in fights.
But hey even without his savage vermin Rev likes to think he's a total badass! He's got a nasty set of jaws, the jagged sharp teeth growing back no matter how many times they're knocked out. His skin, although it looks smooth, it surprisingly rough and scratchy. Scrape against it too hard and you might bleed. And that would be bad.
Rev's biggest vice is blood. The smell of it completely captivates him; it's like a switch goes off in his head. He'll drop everything to find the source of it. And when he does, pray he doesn't have too much. The more blood Rev tastes, the more his bloodlust grows. It's a vicious cycle, and he's fallen into silly little frenzies before when overwhelmed with gore, going absolutely mad and tearing into whatever flesh is available until he's had his fill. And Rev's got a big appetite.
He's uncontrollable in his mania, rarely remembering what he's done when he's finished and usually not caring all that much anyway! Still, it can be a messy business and certainly bad for his image, so Rev tries to prevent his berserker tendencies by keeping full and eating smaller prey. It just gets boring sometimes...

Her name is a bit of an understatement. An absolute monster of a mion, Nibbles is the "maul first, ask questions later" kinda gal. Completely feral and dangerously protective of her owner, she'll hiss and screech at best, and sink her razor-sharp needle teeth into you at worst. Usually the latter. Rev thinks it's hilarious, but even he's not immune to her almost certainly rabid jaws.

Actually, yeah, it probably would be best to approach Sigurd with respect. A surprisingly serious yearling, he will make it very plainly obvious that he does not like to be patronized in those rare instances he decides to speak. Indeed, blunt almost to the point that he seems callous, Sigurd generally prefers to be left alone as he doesn't understand why other herla get so upset when he tells the truth or just wind up misunderstanding him.
Still, given patience, Sigurd will tag along even if he is not the most exciting of companions, often acting as more of an observer. Where his father Alaric is so fond of bird watching, Sigurd seems to enjoy herla watching! However, it would be a mistake to assume Sigurd's more passive nature for docility. When crossed, Sigurd is not afraid to use force to get whatever is bothering him to stop. Stubborn as always, he often doesn't see himself at fault when things get a little heated.
With such a difficult personality, it's easy to forget that Sigurd's just a yearling still figuring things out.
Strengths/Weaknesses;;
First, the obvious stuff! As always, Sigurd gets a definite physical advantage with his taller stature and headcrest/mandible combo. However, with his silky reindeer fur, he also has a tendency to overheat in warmer weather.
But Sigurd's biggest weakness is definitely his, well, lack of herla skills. He can be too oblivious of others' feelings, as he simply doesn't know how to express his own. It's not a joke when Sigurd plainly states how he's feeling in complete deadpan; he just doesn't know how to act like others do.
So, he tries to remedy this by observing others! Always wanting to learn, Sigurd is surprisingly open about meeting others despite his seemingly withdrawn nature. Certainly, having the eyes of the forest on his side makes keeping tabs easy.
Powers/Abilities;;
Oh right, probably should have mentioned. Sigurd has the astonishingly lame ability to speak to birds. Just as he can understand them, they can understand him. They don't hold any long, philosophical conversations or anything—birds have a pretty one-track mind—but Sigurd enjoys their companionship and they generally help him out because hey, he's kind of a weird kid but he makes a good ally. Sigurd is fiercely protective of his feathered friends and pities herla who don't share his unique gift.

Name: Nile Gender: Male Temperament: Deceitful Masculine or Feminine: Feminine Type of Herla: Delta Color & Basic Markings: Pale green that grows brighter/neon as it descends down the legs. Detailed Markings: Those scales deltas are covered in? Neon! Tail: A thick crocodile tail instead, neon and maned orange. Extra Edits: Could he possibly have crocodile claws instead of hooves? And I'd like if you could remove the long hair and mane deltas have altogether, instead his only hair should be as seen in the ref. Please don't forget the silly fin-looking tuft sticking up! Oh, and I'd like if he had the scales on his face, as seen in the ref. Facial Expression: Mischievous yellow eyes, toothy crocodile smile, slit nose Accessories: For yearling stage: The tattered grey curtain-drape on his shoulders A very simple necklace that is basically a stick attached to string, with an orange dealie hanging off it.
