The growing evening was a bit dreary, as a storm had passed by the city of Palisade, thinning gray clouds covering the sky in a stretched film. It had been a light sprinkling, with faint rumblings of thunder, dampened the earth, and buildings, but caused little to no hindering to anyone who might want to visit a shop, or the city itself. The customer flow had been the normal rate at the tailoring shop Nadezhda worked at, and she was just clocking out for the day. She stepped out the dark green door, which jingled as the bell was lightly tousled about, checked the sky, and the few puddles about for any sign that the rain was still present. The streets were lined with the usual guests, stalls set up with eager vendor's, and upper class along with middle class citizens perusing the wares. Slipping on a pair of lace gloves, pale olive green eyes lowered to the side and down, smiling faintly at the small fawn at her side, "Ready to go?" she asked in almost a gentle coo. The fawn was clearly nervous, long floppy ears pinned back, head hunched, and body practically curved behind the woman. Serkan was a timid little thing. Sweet, but still unused to the ways of society; sights, sounds, smells, and the like. But he kept close to Nadezhda which lessened any worry she might have of him running off. Her boss didn't seem to mind her bringing him, since he was rather precious, well-behaved, and a baby who shouldn't be left unattended. So he would wait for Nade in the back of the shop, curled up in a dog bed, sleeping most of the time. Bending at her waist just slightly, the white laced hand stroked along the smooth, streamlined head, rubbing behind an ear encouragingly. The fawn closed his lovely little eyes, and bumped his head appreciatively against the doting palm. With that bit of praise, Serkan livened up a bit more, long ears lifting, and wavering hesitantly this way and that, but he flinched occasionally at sounds that did not sound pleasing to his ears.
With the fawn a little less jittery, Nade stepped down the stairs from the store, and onto the cobblestone streets, Serkan clicking right beside her like a shadow. She gave a few nods of acknowledgement to some passerby's, keeping up appearances, before leisurely strolling down the way, with no where in particular to be. She had to wait for her brother to come get her, and give any news of jobs that had been picked up on the way. It was also her duty to see if any had been recently posted. So her eyes were sliding from leaflet to leaflet, in search of that hidden code.
