Luke laughed a little and looked back up at Tally. "You could be naked for all I care. I didn't think you'd like to do anything traditional. You never were a traditional person." Luke stopped himself and looked down to avoid making eye contact with Tally after what he just said. "I mean... you just don't seem like the regular suit and tie kind of person." His voice had become shaky after almost slipping up with him. Almost if on cue, an attendant showed at their sides with a tray carrying two expensive looking bottles of water. They were a little expensive for Luke's taste but he didn't complain, water is water. "Stay there for just a second." he said as he pulled his wallet out, retrieving a ten dollar bill and his credit card. "Have someone bring me my order."Luke turned back to Tally and his smile widened once more. He was hoping that he didn't say anything about what he had said earlier. "So anything you want. Doesn't even have to be this store." At least Luke could try and hold of on telling him until after the party.

Sam giggled at her remark about dressing up as a man and took another bite of his ice cream. "Really? You'd do that? For a person you just met? I would love for you to." Sam looked up at the girl and stared at her for a moment. There was something about her that was vaguely familiar. It wasn't the kind of feeling you'd get about someone who you had only met once and just never remembered. This was a feeling he had had before, someone that he knew in a past life. "Well, it's this charity event for this old society I'm a part of. Ever heard of the Ouroboros Society?" How perfect of an event, Sam thought to himself.

Derek Schrader Sin_____________________ Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Derek stood awkwardly on a podium while a tailor slowly circled him taking his measurements and Jenny stood in front of him trying to decide on which suit she would be forcing him into that night. Jenny occasionally mumbled something to the tailor and eventually just sat down on a nearby sofa in the small fitting. "You know if you would finally start making men's clothing then we wouldn't have this problem." Derek sneered in the direction of Jenny. She just gave him an evil glance and sighed. "You know why I can't do that. I'd really rather not bother anyways. Men's clothing is so boring." The tailor laughed a bit under her voice. "You know Ms. Humphrey," the tailor said in a heavy foreign accent, "I believe that you could make an excellent men's clothing line." Jenny threw her head and relaxed on the couch. "I have actually already created a men's clothing line." she sighed "I made a deal with one of my good friends a long time ago that I would stick to women's clothing and he would make men's." She looked back up at Derek and smiled at the mention of the deal she had made with her best friend two lifetimes ago. She insisted on keeping that deal even though there were plenty of rumors that he was gone for good. Sometimes that would happen, people would die and simply not come back. Nobody could explain it. Nobody could explain it but it's not like there was anything they could do about it. It was believed that they kept getting reincarnated because there was something that you were destined to accomplish and if you accomplished it, then that ended your cycle. Keeping her promise was her own subconscious way of keeping that friend alive. "I'll be back," she sighed once more "I have to use the restroom."

┛ Jennifer Humphrey ┗ ___________"The Devil would never wear Prada..."_______________________________________ Jenny left behind the ever-stiffening man she called her husband and wandered around the store until she finally found the restroom. Once she had finished she came back out and decided to take a chance to see if there was anything else she might have wanted Derek to wear that night. She walked around the room with such grace and confidence that you would think she were on a runway. That was, until she came across Luke and Tally sitting together on one of the stores many leather sofas. She smiled at Lukes ever-welcoming face but slowly that smile faded to a gaping mouth as she saw the face of the man he was sitting with. She took a step back so that she wouldn't fall over, having been overwhelmed with emotion. "It's you." she whispered. Her gaze slowly shifted back toward Luke and his face told her everything she needed to know. He didn't know about any of his previous incarnations. Like most, including Derek, Tally didn't have the kind of memories that carried from lifetime to lifetime. Some would have seizures that served as flashbacks of sorts and some would have extremely vivid dreams. Jenny didn't have as good of a memory as Luke and could only remember some of the most intense things from her past lives. Jenny didn't know Tally by the name Tally though, she knew him by Jason. After standing there for a moment she shook her head a little and looked back at Luke. "I'm so surprised to see you here Luke. Sorry to bother you, I'm just passing through. I uhm, I have a meeting with the owner about my Spring lineup." Jenny immediately took off in the direction she came from as fast as she could without tripping in her heels. _______________________________ _________________________________"...I mean, do you think I'm poor or something?"

Derek Schrader Sin_____________________ Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Derek nodded at Jenny as she stood to leave out of the room. He remained on the podium staring at himself in the mirror as the tailor finished up his measurements. "He's back!" Jenny practically screamed as she burst through the doorway, tears in her eyes, Manolo's in hand. Derek turned to her and examined her for a moment before looking down at the tailor who was awkwardly looking back and forth between the two. "Leave." he lightly demanded her as he stepped from the podium. She quickly stood and hurried out the room. Derek pulled the curtain shut and turned back to Jenny. "Jason. It's Jason. Luke got to him first." At this point her mascara was running and she was steadily sobbing, attempting to catch her breath. Derek pulled her over to him and hugged her as tight as he could. "So he's not gone for good? I don't know how to feel about this. I'll fix this. Alright?" he told her. Simple as that. He just had to get Jason away from Luke and pray that he already hasn't told him any lies yet. "Come on." he said as he picked up her purse for her and handed her a pair of large sunglasses. He grabbed both of their jackets and grabbed Jenny by the hand, leading them out of the fitting room. "Have the suits altered and delivered." he demanded to no one in particular as they strode out of the room. He pulled his phone out and called their driver and simply said "We're ready." and hung up. Once outside they were directed into the idling limo and Derek pulled Jenny close to him. "It will be okay." he whispered. "He will be okay."

Tally laughed a little at Luke's words. He was right. Tally would happily go nude, but he didn't think the others would appreciate that too much. He was never a traditional person, he mused to himself. Thn his brain went blank except for one thought. He's talking to me like he's known me for years... He looked at Luke a little confused for a moment, taking in his nervous stature and the way that he shrank into himself. He was about to say something until the attendant arrived with two bottles of water made from a brand he had never heard of before. Returning to his previous thoughts, he looked back at Luke but had seen that he basically went right back to how he was like the mishap had never happened. So Tally shrugged it off for now, wondering if it was going to happen again. He smile again as Luke told him he could get basically anything he wanted. "You know, I think I wanna try and get some fancy clothes for once in my life. I don't own any suits or anything really. Plus, I think I'd look very suave in some fancy clothes, whatd'you think?" he asked, leaning in towards Luke with a small smirk. He was about to stand...when he heard someone speak behind him. He turned to look at the woman who looked extremely surprised...or was that scared? He knitted his eyebrows together and frowned, fixing to ask her what was wrong...when she explained it herself. She had been disheveled about Luke..? But he swore she had looked straight at him... He shook his head then finally stood. "I don't...really understand what that was about, but...How about I look around here and see if there's anything I like before we move onto another place?" he suggested with a smile, holding his hand out to help Luke up.
The Asian woman thought for a moment humming to herself. "No, I don't think I have. I do love being charitable, though," she told him with an amused smile. "By the way, I'm Anne Chun," she introduced, holding her hand out for a formal meeting. "Though, when I'm my male counterpart, I'm Ken Lang. She told him in a deeper, very believable male voice with a wink, hinting that she regularly dressed up as the opposite sex. "I believe this is going to be a beautiful friendship!" she told him happily, clapping in excitement. "Oh! Put your number in my phone," she told him, basically tossing her phone down on the table, eyes shining. This was exciting. She got to go out with this adorable gay guy as he male self and party! She ignored the irking feeling in her stomach as she looked at him. He was so familiar, she thought. She couldn't put her finger on it, though. It bugged her a bit, but she just shoved it aside and enjoyed the moment of happiness.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Luke ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Luke opened his mouth for a moment as if to say something but he couldn't bring himself to say anything. He just turned back to the equally stunned Tally and simply gave him a slight laugh and put on the best confused face he could possibly conjure. "I think you would look fantastic in anything at all and I have no clue who that was, or what that was even about." he bit his lower lip and considered his options right about now. He could come clean and tell him about his past incarnations but he knew that it was likely that he would first think he was crazy, run off in either anger or confusion, then take at least a week to gather himself to come back and talk to him about it once more. He had to at least get him to the party tonight first. After that he would find out somehow but as long as Luke had him on his arm at the party, he didn't care. "Well then let's decide on what you're wearing." Another attendant showed up holding the four separate cloth garment bags. "Change of plans, have them sent to my building." Luke directed toward him before turning back to Tally and grabbing his hand and pulling him up off of the couch. He hugged him for a moment and smiled as wide as he could. "I'm so excited for tonight. How do you feel about boats?"

Tally easily fell back into the warmth and comfort of Luke's presence as soon as those warm arms were around him. He hugged him back, relaxing in his grip as he rested his head against his shoulder. He reluctantly pulled back from the hug but kept hold of his hand loosely. "I love going out on the water, actually. My dad and I used to go out on his boat and fish before he died," he told him with a soft smile. "Let's go look at stuff," he said to try and change the subject, pulling on his hand gently to get him to follow him before he released his grip and smiled teasingly back at him as he went ahead to look at everything.
By the end of shopping, Tally had gotten a whole new outfit--vest, button-up shirt, pants, socks, shoes, tie, and a fedora. He had even run down the road to a "novelty shoppe" and picked up a few things after telling Luke to stay where he was so he didn't see what Tally got. He planned on seducing his good friend Luke tonight. If this didn't last, he at least wanted to have the comfort of knowing he didn't miss out on fantastic sex. He then met Luke back at the store he left him in and grabbed ahold of his hand. "Let's go back to your apartment so you can see my outfit all put together and tell me how sexy and expensive I look," he told him with a laugh, eyes shining as he looked at Luke. He was...truly happy spending time with the other male.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Luke ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Luke less than happily agreed with all of Tally's fashion choices but put on the best face he could. He sunk into one of the stores plush leather sofas when Tally left to.. well to hell if he knew, and covered his eyes. He was starting to develope one of his usual headaches. Very slowly, Luke was beginning to be irked by this incarnation of Tally. He pulled his phone out after feeling it's vibrations radiate through his leg and looked at the screen: Unknown number. Luke who exactly who it was and answered it with a simple "What?" Derek grunted on the other end of the line. "Don't tell me you've lost those old chivalrous manners of yours, Lucas." Luke cringed at his voice coming through the speaker a little too loud. "I don't have to be nice to the people I don't like, Mr. Schrader." He whispered his name into the phone and emphasized a little more than it should. "Well look, I'm just calling you to tell you that some people will be out to get Tally away from you tonight. You know how these half-asses feel about the whole memory thing. I recommend that you just don't go to the party at all, but if you must parade your newest piece of a** around, take a helicopter. Alright?" Luke had slowly stood and begun to walk around the store while Derek was talking. "I was planning on sending him tonight, actually. Right after the party." he spoke as softly as he could for fear of some hearing him. "But if you really must know, he is the only piece of a** I've had in my life for the past 400 years. As long as we don't acknowledge the ******** we all have while we wait for our partners to show up. You would know a thing or two about that, right?" Derek laughed at this along with Luke and silence grew between them for a moment. "I need reassurance." Luke said as he stared at Tally coming up the street from one of the shops large plate glass windows. "You know how the whole terrible memory thing goes. His is even worse than yours. I don't think I can stand much of who he is now, though. Thanks for the tip." Luke abruptly ended the call there just as Tally walked into the store. He eagerly began to follow him towards the exit but pulled out his phone at the mention of going back to his apartment. "That sounds fantastic but please let me call the driver before we go outside. It is far too cold for me to be out there for any more than a few minutes." Luke joked. The car, which had been circling the block for quite some time, quickly strode beneath the covered port and the two were ushered into the back seat without any complaint. "I'm excited to see everything on you." Luke said. He was not. "And I'm really curious about where you went." Still, no. His headache was growing and he was finding it harder and harder to not show his disgust towards Tally.

Derek Schrader Sin_____________________ Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. By the time Derek and Jenny made it back to their penthouse in the Rhodes Building, Jenny had stopped crying and wiped enough of the mascara off of her face so that none of the paparazzi that usually hung around outside their building could get a good shot of her. Instead it was the typical door-man ushered response that they always got. Once in their half-penthouse suite, Jenny ran a bath and Derek begun making calls to his associates within the Society to notify them of Tally's come-back and to gather information on what their plans were. He gathered that in the midst of the chaotic party planning, throwing in a bomb of this nature set to some kind of large panic among inner-Society members like Derek and Jenny themselves. Eventually the plans that would be set forth in order to get Tally away from Luke made their way back to Derek and he then relayed them to a few Society members that worked under and for him. Before making a plan to counter-act the Society's plans, Derek made a simple phone call to Luke ton inform him of everything. He was on Lukes side all the way.

Tally smiled at Luke before turning to lean against the window of the limo. He watched the world pass him by as he began to think. He frowned as a thought occured to him: He hadn't spoken to his best friend in a while. He pulled out his phone and looked at it, contemplating for a moment. He should probably tell him that he'd be home tomorrow since he had that party to go to tonight... That way he wouldn't be able to back out of giong home tomorrow when it came down to it, because he'd be expected there.
He sighed softly and flipped his phone open, pressing speed-dial. He held the device up to his ear and waited for it to pick up. When it finally did, he smiled. "Hey!" he said happily to the questionable Tally? he heard from the other end. He heard a small scoff. So you finally decide to acknowledge that I still exist in your new, beautiful world of love and s**t, huh? Tally frowned. He sounded...angry? No... it was almost like he was jealous. "Look, I'm sorry. You know how I can get caught up in things... I'll be out all day today and have a party to go to tonight, but I promise I'll be home tomorrow. Please don't be mad," he told him in an almost pleading voice. There was silence for a moment before a deep sigh reached his ears. He smiled slightly. Fine, but you better get your a** home tomorrow, or I'm kicking you out, the other male said gruffly. Tally knew he wouldn't do that. So he smiled widely. "Thank you, Buddy. We'll have best-friend time when I get home, okay? In return for you putting up with my childishness and forgetfulness." He heard the other's tone lighten a little. Deal. Just don't let me down, Tal. Tally let out a small chuckle. "Oh, I won't. See you tomorrow!" he sang before closing his phone, a smile now plastered on his face. He felt a little better now.

Derek Schrader Sin_____________________ Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Derek swiveled his desk chair to face the large window behind that gave a breathtaking view of Lower-Manhattan and the surrounding area. He sat there for a few minutes taking in the view that he was typically too busy to admire. His laptop made a low ding from a new email and reminded him of all the things he needed to do before the party that night. He mindlessly swiveled back around to face his computer monitor and examined the email that had appeared on his screen. The email was a simple debriefing on Tally's return meant for inner-society members only. No more than 20 people received the email. Derek scanned the page for anything he could use to help keep Tally with Luke so that the operation would proceed.
As always, the Society member that sent the email referenced links at the bottom of the email that contained further information on the case. This was done because of the memory loss that most experience from lifetime to lifetime. Derek, of course, was one of these people. He clicked on a link that was supposed to lead him to a page dedicated to Tally's previous lives, but was instead redirected to a landing page where he was required to log in. He typed in his credentials and waited for the page on Tally to load. Much to Derek's surprise, Tally's photo had already been taken and was now being used to represent his Society profile instead of an old black and white photo that had been taken years back. He scrolled down the page hoping to find that something had been added and was pleased to find that under the Identities section, Tally's current life had been added and already held basic information. Birth date, relatives, school records, job history, and medical conditions were just a few of the things that had already been retrieved by Society logistics workers. There was even a photo of him as a child that seemed to be out of place on the sterile work-in-progress timeline. Derek knew that by tomorrow, this profile would include hundreds of photos, phone records, a list of past sex partners, financial records, and much more. The timeline would only become larger when you factored in that Derek was a top-tier Society member and could view all records.
Derek made his way back to original email and clicked on a different link that led him to a similar Society wiki page that was dedicated to a plant called Ma Huang. Ma Huang is a herb that is native to certain parts of China. It was highly illegal in the United States and several other countries due to it's dangerous effects. The specific type of Ma Huang this page was dedicated to is an ancestor of the plant, having been cultivated for hundreds of years way before the Society ever even existed. When burned in large quantities, it caused severe memory loss and possible other dangerous and sometimes fatal side-effects. This species of plant was extremely rare and would cost someone billions of dollars to obtain just a small portion. When an individual who has had previous lives, Eternal Ones as some call them, was exposed to the plant, their memories from their current lives will have been erased, leaving the gate open for memories of past lives to come back. These people would generally be kidnapped and placed in a small chamber where the would be slowly exposed to the fumes from Ma Huang. They would pass out and awake, if at all, in a plush suite in the Ouroboros Society building at Gramercy Park. In the suite they would find a hard copy of their Society wiki profile along with several physical items from past lives. Over the course of a week, the items and information would generally cause large flashbacks that would be accompanied by seizures and a host of other minor and mostly temporary medical problems. The Eternal One would only be exposed to a full-time Society doctor and an evaluator who would determine whether or not the process was working or even worth performing. It took Derek three treatments until memories finally started coming back to him. This is the process that Luke was going to force Tally to go through. In fact, most of these procedures were forced by past loved ones to regain the people they once knew and loved. Most people with past lives, however, could regain memories easily and naturally overtime. Jenny and Luke had these kinds of memories. Before a Ma Huang treatment, their memories were spotted and event-oriented meaning that it is common for Eternal Ones to have irrational fears of something that may have caused them a previous death or to easily remember past loved ones.
Derek closed out of his browser and turned back towards the window. From here he could just barely see the port that held the docked yacht that the party would be taking place in just a few short hours. The boat would sail an hour after the party had started and all other late guests would either be brought in by one of many small motorboats or a private helicopter. Most members would arrive late simply because it was more fun that way. Derek would be on the ship with Jenny before the party started, seeming as how they were hosting. The party was a benefit for the Society's fairly new private school that specialized in educating students on the advances in the fields they had studied for several lives over. The school's first graduating class would be finishing off this month and the benefit was being hosted to assist the funding of the education for the new incoming class of a students which just so happened to be the biggest the school had ever had. Derek stood from his desk and began walking towards the door with one thought on his mind: How Jenny was handling the news of Tally's return.

┛ Jennifer Humphrey ┗ ___________"The Devil would never wear Prada..."_______________________________________ Jenny relaxed in the oversized bath tub filled with steaming hot water and topped off with way too many bubbles than were actually necessary. Why in the hell do I take bubble baths anyways? she thought as she attempted to scratch her nose but instead placed a fistful of bubbles in her face. Before she could fully remove all the bubbles, Derek lightly tapped on the door before he intrusively pushed it open and entered. "What happened to you?" he laughed as he grabbed a hand towel from the duvet "They're attacking me!" Jenny squealed before Derek sat on the edge of the tub and gently wiped the bubbles off of her face. "He's a bad person." Jenny said, referring to Luke. "He doesn't deserve to be dragged into everything." Derek frowned and looked around the bathroom, "You mean back into it. Regardless of what happens, he will get his memory back and probably end up with Luke. Theres nothing that we can do." Jenny slumped over slightly and sighed, "It's just hard, I guess." Derek leaned down and kissed her on the cheek before standing up and walking back towards the door. "Hurry up," he said "we have to be at the boat in an hour." _______________________________ _________________________________"...I mean, do you think I'm poor or something?"
