A single diamond tear
slides down your cheek,
slowly
you cry silently
and I reach for you
to comfort you
and cry with you
I am right there,
with you
But you are swallowed
by your grief
alone in the depths
of your despair
you cannot see me
Your pain,
I cannot say
I understand
what you go through
completely
it's always different
but I can open up
and feel with you
feel the pain of all
mostly, though,
of those closest

Full of developing imagery! I feel as though you have a talent that is coming along the more you write for 'showing' someone a poem rather than just 'telling'. I really look forward to more of your writing!

YOU
I look upon the moon
in the chilly autumn air
and I think of you
my breath catches
as I gaze upon the beauty
of the moon
So breathtaking, so far away
and I know you're thinking of me,
at this very moment as well
and that thought fills me
I have found my wings
and I soar high
on a perfect autumn night
I feel so alive
I glow as the moon caresses me
in its silvery light
I close my eyes enjoying the
cold as it nips at my cheeks
just right
and I see you
you smile
I open my eyes
and my heart races
pounding with exhilaration
I've never felt so alive!
I wonder if the moon,
up in the sky all alone,
has someone who
inspires it to shine
someone to fill it with a light glow?
