You do not need art, here at Llywdbeinn, to create a character and RP. However, you do need your character to be stamped off on/approved before you can begin to play. Mostly, staff will just be checking to make sure that everything is world-appropriate, and then stamping -- this is not an involved process!

Remove anything that appears in italics. These are just notes to help you fully fill out your biography.

Please note: at this time, you cannot quest for a noble character or one of the Speaker's Swords. These characters are entirely unavailable at opening. At later times, they may be opened up via events or contests.

If we get too many Hunter characters, these may also end up being limited.

Basic Form

All new characters should fill out the following form. Please note that you cannot start out as a Touched character, unless you win in a contest. As such, it's wisest to create a basic human with a potential for magical ability later on only.

ESSENTIALS

Name:

Nickname[s]:

Age:

Social Class:

Occupation:
APPEARANCE
In this description you should include, somewhere: height, build/body type, coloration, best feature, worst feature, something that marks him/her as distinctive, and general style of clothing, hair and makeup.

PERSONALITY
It's important to include things like: likes and dislikes, hopes and fears, dreams, how he/she interacts in everyday situations, how he/she deals with stress, and at least one situation in which he/she feels at home.

ABILITIES
You should cover your characters strengths and weaknesses in physical situations, mental situations, social situations, as well as at least one thing at which he/she is better than most people and one thing at which he/she is worse. Please note that your character cannot be 'the best' at anything!

HOBBIES
This does not have to be a long answer. Please just list some of your characters' hobbies, what he or she does in free time. This is useful for finding connections or starting threads with other characters.

Magic Form

While you cannot start out with a magical ability, you can certainly include it in your quest, or in your profile as a future hope/direction for your character.

Magic Mechanics

Every spirit gives one power and one power only over to its host. At the beginning, this power is erratic and relatively useless -- along the lines of being able to change hair color, or sense animals in an area, or perhaps kindle the smallest of flames. At level two, the Touched finally get a hold of their magic, and it develops into something useful.

In addition, magic has a cost -- something different for each spirit. This is a strictly visual effect, nearly impossible to hide; something entirely inhuman and distinctive that marks you as ‘other’ when you use your power. It might be hands that glow like small lanterns, or ethereal wings to appear, or darkness to swallow up the skin. The extent of the change depends on power level.

TOUCHED APPEARANCE
This section should explain how magic has changed your character's appearance, and the change should be something that is difficult if not impossible to hide while they are performing their magic.

This will start out small, but will become more dramatic at higher levels. The artists may have to take some liberties with your request.

MAGIC
Level One - your starting power should be small and simple, very basic.
Level Two - once it has been mastered, your character should have better control.
