Nouri was crouched at the mouth of the den even though he hadn’t been told to keep watch. He’d grown to an age that allowed him to get a better understanding of the Ashnai’le pride and there was a deep uneasy feeling growing within the young cub. His mother’s clear directives – stay hidden, be quiet, don’t let anyone see you – always spoken in a grave tone that did not invite defiance, didn’t help to calm him down one bit. For some reason, the world was against them and Nouri just hoped he and his brothers could evade the dangers their mother spoke of.
“I’m bored.” He said, looking over his shoulder to see if any of his brothers would help him defuse his inner tension.

Rudra rolled on his back, squirming and wiggling, paws flopping haphazardly in the air, tail stretched straight out. His back itched. Sure he could have simply scratched it and been done with it but then he would have nothing to do. Again. For the gazillionth time today. At least this way as he wriggled awkwardly on the ground, he wasn't thinking about how incredibly bored he was.
He wished it were his turn to keep watch. At least then would have had something to occupy his mind...For a while anyways. But it was Nouri's and so he continued to roll around the ground until at least, wonderfully, his back stopped itching.
His paws let out a final, relieved twitch before he rolled back onto his feet, paws tucked away beneath him.
His brother's complaint caught his ear and he too glanced around to see if anyone else was interested in play time. No answer seemed to be coming. He scrunched up his nose in annoyance and flicked his tail before looking over at Nouri. Rudra, at least, was more than happy to take him up on this challenge.
The little black lion cub leaned down even more on his haunches, eyes wide, ears down, his rear end wiggling, his tail swishing back and forth, betraying his intention to pounce. He slowly inched closer, paws almost silent in their attempt to pick there way past any pebbles.
Then in a flash of energy, Ru pounced, hoping to land directly on his brother's behind.

Because their mother seemed rather invested in making sure her boys had a good amount of defense training from a very young age, Nouri’s reaction to his brother’s pounce was quick and decisive. The moment he felt his brother’s touch, the pale cub swirled around like a snake and lifted a paw to hit his “attacker’s” chest or face – whichever came closest. He was as silent as he was fast because being quiet was one of the first things his mother had taught the four cubs and she always placed a great amount of important in making sure they didn’t forget it. Noise attracted bad things. As such, there was no word nor growl to warn the dark cub of what he had been about to do but at least Nouri kept his claws sheathed, knowing that he wasn’t truly being attacked from the depths of hid den.

The sudden movements of his lighter brother startled Rudra and for a brief moment his eyes went wide, studying the paw that was about to be brought down upon him. His claws were still safely tucked away and that was enough to bring the spirit of the tussle back into the little cub even as the Nouri swatted at his face, landing successfully on his target. Having to remain ever silent, he bit back a grunt and instead a silent release of breath was all that came of it. Instinctively the black cub screwed up his face, closing his eyes to protect them from any stray fur that might dare to wriggle into them and his nose scrunched up in distaste. His tail stood stock still, straight as an arrow.
That was a good one. Ru would give him that. He certainly wasn't down for the count, though. Things were just warming up.
Wasting little time, he shook his head free and took advantage of their close proximity. Rudra lunged towards his brother's neck, not intending to bite down hard but merely to place his mouth on it, sharp cub teeth covered with his lips.
Unsure of whether or not he would hit his mark, he also swatted at his brother's face, claws nowhere to be seen, hoping to return the favor.Mogami I am so sorry for the months late response. >_>; My life went to hell and a shop I RP manage shot up in activity and everything went crazy. If you do not want to continue this RP anymore I would totally understand.

Kallysto Oh, don't worry about it. I've had rps that ran way longer than this. xD I'd definitely like to continue it. Now that he was face to face with his brother, Nouri visibly deflated. He merely leaned to the side as Rudra mouthed his neck and took the hit with a little wince before lifting one paw to push his brother away. “Yeah, yeah. Cut it out, Rudra.” He said quietly, squashing the urge to growl loudly like any normal cub in a normal pride would do in the same situation. But they weren’t normal cubs nor were they in what any sane lion would call a normal pride so the youngster made sure to keep his reactions as silent as possible. It seemed as though he was just going to give in but the green-eyed cub shifted abruptly and lunged at his brother with a slightly mischievous grin.

Mogami Another ridiculously long overdue tag! >>; At his brother's request, Rudra released him, grinning with pride. He could tell Nouri sounded annoyed at that gave him a distinct little pleasure. Not that he disliked his brother. Far from it! He loved him. But what sibling wouldn't take a little pride in annoying their brother? "Oh, fine, if you're going to whine," he responded, smirking, satisfied with himself. He was genuinely surprised when Nouri struck and Rudra was knocked to the ground, landing on his back. He repressed a yelp and his tail lashed back and forth furiously as he tried to paw at his brother's face to knock him away. "Very funny!" he half hissed, half laughed "but you'll regret it!"
