I have a brand new pair of pants (kinda punky, but I still wear the style sometimes) that had bleach spilled on one of the legs (it happened a while ago, right after I bought them). I'm thinking that a good way to remedy this is by painting over the bleach stain with a nice design. My question is, what kind of paint is good for this kind of work? I haven't really seen any real fabric paint (other than puffy paint or whatever) so I'm not really sure what to buy. Any suggestions are appreciated ^^

puff paint can look not so cheasy if you make sure its not to puffy and use skill when you paint. its verry nice they have such a nice cap and tip.

i paint my clothes with spraypaint and stencils. i use the glossy kind of spray paint and it dosent come out glossy but it dosent come out dull.
its never really washed off

Stencils would look neat, I agree. My friend did her canvas bag up with some home-made stencils and spray paint, and it seemed to work pretty well. It has a very nice grunge look.

oh and if you need help making stencils i have a really easy method.
look for your shape online. i yahhoed some cupids a short time back.

ok what you do is just put in in ms paint, you then can adjust it to the size you want. place a piece of paper on top the screen and trace. then you cut. if you need thicker paper so the paint wont spay threw just take the thin stencil and trace it on a piece of card stock. dont do it the other way; i garente you seing threw card stock on a computer screen will be hard.

oh and if you wanna see the cupids i found gimme the word.

There is a wonderful thing called Image Maker, made by a company called Dylon...look it up on googles and you will see what i mean. It's perfect for transfering stuff..you can print it off (you have to do it in negative and you need to mirror the image) then put some ofthe image magic on the picture, put it to the fabric, press down..leave for one night, next day put it under water and gently rub off the paper and wolah!

Here's another related question.... These pants I'm thinking of are black with purple stitching. When they got bleached, the splatter covered part of the stitching as well. The funny thing is, the stitching is still purple. (my mother-in-law says it's because the stitching is nylon and something about nylon not taking to bleach) Do you guys think it would look totallu tacky of I just painted over that part of the stitching so it was black like the rest of the bleached part I'm covering up?

As for what exactly I've decided to do... I'm thinking that I'll make a stencil, then use puffy paint and a sponge to cover it up ^^; I'll do a background of black first or something like that. I'll let you know how it works.
