Chandra: *nips Heze's ear* So my dear, how is the lovely Haki of your's doing?

Heze: *Goes pink* Haki is fine

Chandra: *Nods knowingly* I bet he is.... *chuckles, thinking of a very different 'fine'.*

Heze *looks at her mother mortified and confused* Mum?

Chandra: *Shrugs* What, can I appreciate a handsome stallion? *Winks at her daughter playfully*

Heze: Mum!

Chandra: *Smiles softly* I'm joking. I'm joking.

Heze: *looks mortified*

Chandra: *Nudges her daughter with her shoulder playfully.* Cheer up, grumpy wings!

Heze: I thought that other talk was bad enough.

Chandra: *Blushes at that* Yeah ok... that wasn't exactly the nicest for me either. *Laughs.* And your father hates that I told you. Wishes his little girls all stayed pure and innocent for their entire lives. *Smiles* He likes him you know, Haki I mean. Though sometimes I am not sure if he simply likes him because he has never touches you as far as we are aware.

Heze: *hides under her wings* This isn't happening to me!

Chandra: *Grins* I'm afraid it is my dear.

Heze: *whimpers under her wings*

Haki: *Wanders looking for Heze only to freeze the moment he see's Heze with her mother.*

Chandra: *Nudges Heze* Cheery up grumpy-wing, it's not as ba--- *hears hooves approaching and turned to see Haki, her smile widens.* Ah, speak of the Devil.

Heze: *groans* No... no..... I'm in denial my mother is not humiliating me with this conversation and Haki has not wandere up and overheard it.... Happy place... happy place

Haki: *Stands on the spot looking very much like a deer caught in the headlights.* Eh...

Chandra: *Giggles* Oh, you two. Come on Haki... come over here my dear, little Heze here was just talking /all/ about you. *pats the ground with her wing*

Haki: *Swallows sharply before approaching and sitting near the two females, his eyes wandering to Heze every now and then before dropping to the ground.*

Heze: *bursts from under her wing, very pink in the face* Mum you are such a liar!

Chandra: *Turns to Heze and winks* Ah-ha! There is my beautiful daughter.

Haki: *Comments without thinking* Yes, she is beautiful *His accent thick and the words sounding almost those of a different language. When he realises what he just said he blushes bright and looks away, cursing himself for saying such things... and in front of her Mother too!*

Heze: *goes even redder* Did your mother ever do this to you? *asking, pained that this was some kind of get back for parentan grieviences*

Chandra: *Tilts her head adorably and thinks about it.* Can't say she did... *smiles* But my brother Mal used to tease me all the time. *Turns to Haki* No need to be embarrassed dear, I know all too well that all my daughters are beautiful, so I am not surprised that one has caught your eye. *She giggled softly* Must admit I am surprised that it was this one that found a partner so quickly.

Haki: *Mumbles softly,* Partner? *Gulps and looks to Heze as if asking for help*

Heze: *tries to sound authoritive* Mother stop picking on Haki, you were jsut saying you and dad liked him!

Chandra: *Her little head wings wiggle playfully* Sorry, sorry. Wasn't being mean, just trying to decide what kind of stallion he is and if he is worthy of my little girl! *Wraps Heze in her wing for a moment and pulls her closer in a hug. Part of her wanted to do the same with Haki on the other side but she had long learn about his adversion to touch.*

Haki: *Gulps again, hating that in this he needed to ask for help... as if it some how made him look weaker, something that went completely against his courtship dance with Heze. Who wanted to take a stallion who was weak? Bullying up the courage to speak he asks.* And.... do you approve?

Heze: *flawed by Haki's quietion, her words to try and stop her mothers rampage of child humiliation halted*

Chandra: *Blinked in surprise, not to dissimilar from her daughters. Haki had always come across as reserved and quite so it was shock to see him forward, still she smiled... she liked this side, Heze would need it in the future she was sure.* Yes. *She said honestly, the teasing tone gone from her voice.* I approve of you Haki.

Haki: *Looks to Heze before her mother once more and nodding. Having had more than enough of making a fool of him for one conversation.*

Heze: *stares at her mother, clearly having been hit by this whole conversation out of the blue*

Chandra: *Smiles softly and looks to her daughter.* There. Now you can stop worrying, he wouldn't ask such a question unless you liked you... *Winks at her softly before getting up.* I'll let you two have some alone time. *Looks at Haki, saying a little seriously* Be good to my little girl Haki....

Haki: *Blinks in surprise* Eh.... ah.... *At the command he nods automatically.* Of course....

Heze: *looking like she had just been struck repeatedly by lightning, not able to think of what to say, murmering sounding dazed* That was my mother

Haki: I know. *He says quietly before looking at her a little awkwardly. He smiled softly before saying* I hope I... didn't.... eh.. disturb you.

Heze: *shakes her head, snapping out of it a little* No, I was hoping to see you.... she ambused me

Haki: *Nods again.* I see. *Trys to think of something appropriate to say* She was nice.

Heze: *nods, looking aftr where her mother went* Usually *not sure what the whole mortally embarass her daughter thing was about*

Haki: *Despite the fact he and Heze usually talked for hours at a time he found himself stuck for something to say and so said nothing, simply nodded once or twice at Heze.*

Heze: *took a deep breath and rested her head down, puttign her foot right back into being awkward* She never gave me a chance really to agree that your handsome either

Haki: *Hadn't heard much of the first part of the conversation and so blinks at that.* You think I am handsome. *Strangely enough he hadn't expected that.*

Heze: *nods, her nose pink again*

Haki: *His beak slowly twitches until the smile reaches from ear to ear.* Asante kwa Heze kwamba. (Thank you for that Heze)

Heze: *gives him a shy smile* My pleasure.

Haki: *Nods and looks up at the sky* Do we know when we.... kuondoka.... yet? (Leave)

Heze: *shakes her head* No one has told me.

Haki: Ok. *He looks at her again* How... do you feel about it?

Heze: *shrugs* I'll be sad... this is the only home I have known.... but my family will be with me, so will you... thats what matters

Haki: *nods again* You are all blessed.... to have each other. *He says almost sadly despite the happy indication of his words*

Heze: *nods* Yes we are.... You have us too now

Haki: *At those innocent words he found himself looking to the floor, watching as the grass swayed by his clawed feet. 'Having' someone never worked out so well for him in the past. Still he nodded and said, in her tongue since he didn't want to associate this with the 'past' right now.* Thank you.

Heze: *rested her head down, feeling like she said domething wrong again*

Haki: *Shakes his head, dislodging those thoughts* My apology. *H esaid seeing her looking a little upset now. Getting to his four legs he bowed slightly to her before clearing his throat* Sorry for disturbing you... I... I leave you be.

Heze: *Lifts her head* stay? If you want

Haki: *Haki hesitated at her words. Something he had noticed was she would pose what she wanted a question instead of directly asking him for it. For that reason he sat back down. His eyes not wavering from her*

Heze: *watches him* You don't have to....

Haki: *Nods sharply to acknowlegde that he didn't, still he made no move to leave. Instead he flexed his claw and said.* I get better at running, me thinks.

Heze: *smiles at him* Thats good

Haki: *Nods once more* Yes. It is... I not want to make anyone mad at me.

Haki: *Found himself clucking his beak a little before catching the reaction and sighing. He found his eyes wandering from Heze as he answered, not able to look at her reaction as he told her the truth.* For holding others back. Stallion meant to be strong, fast, tough... yet here... I sink like rock in mud.

Heze: *shakes her head* Why you think that?

Haki: *He wasn't sure what he should say here. So settled for.* Way of world.

Heze: *shakes her head* Not here, All are welcome here. You are strong, brave, good.

Haki: *Sighs softly and flopped his head upon the grass. He didn't understand her ways sometimes, they were so different. Althought he understood that they welcomed everyone... how could they not expect the stallions to fight for the mares?*

Heze: *looks apologetic* Sorry

Haki: *Shakes his head* You did nothing wrong

Heze: I made you sad

Haki: As I you.

Heze: *shakes her head* No, I just wish I didn't say things that put that look in your eyes

Haki: *Smiled at that* And I for you.... It seems... I always put my claw in my mouth around you.

Heze: *smiles back at him* I don't think so... If you do I've never noticed

Haki: *Shakes his head* You too kind.

Heze: *shakes her head* I just tell the truth

Haki: *Nodded at that, suddenly very unsure about what to say*

Heze: *smiles, settling, sometimes she was good with just being quiet and close to him*

Haki: *Sat still, just watching Heze. Watching the clouds behind her floating in the sky. Her hair blowing on the wind. The sparkle in her eyes. The flutter of his own heart.... he watched them all, committing each to memory should they ever be torn from him.*
