It was such a rainy and gloomy day outside. Singsong groaned and flopped onto her trusty beanbag. What was she going to do now? On days like this she just fell in a slump. Her creativity was at an all time low. It was a dreadful feeling.

The little lass whine and rolled her eyes as she sunk into the seat. There had to be something fun! Glancing about the room for ideas all she could focus on were the frames filled with pictures of her family. They were such a grand bunch. She loved them so much. But back to her dilemma! Maybe she'd draw? Nah...she already did that all morning. Maybe it was time to read a book? Could be a good time to practice singing. Or...her orange eyes caught sight of good old Tone Deaf and suddenly an idea was born!

"Tone Deaf!" The little lass quickly sat up and hurried over to her brother. "We should do something today! It's too wet and mucky to go outside. Lets have some fun!"

Nope.. Singsong thought as her brother happily questioned what she could be thinking of. Course she couldn't let him know that! She quickly looked about the room one more time and landed on the wedding picture of their parents. An idea quickly popped into her head and she sported a wide grin.

"I do!! Lets do something for daddy and papa! It's so gloomy so they must be bored too. Why don't we um...uh...". Okay, so she got the idea of doing something special for their parents down but not exactly what it would be. The little filly but her lower lip as she sought to find a grand gift. "Maybe a...."

Good thing she had just watched an old romance movie last night. "A mix tape! We could sing some songs for them and record it! The. They could always have something to listen to!". Brilliant! Tone Deaf's singing voice may have been a little rough around the edges but that's what made it so special to listen to.

"What do you think? Wanna do it?". She asked with inspiration twinkling like stars in her big doe eyes.

"That's a great idea, brother! But what song? They sing so many to us..." She paused to think about what song would be perfect for their little gift. Their dads sang so many songs throughout the day that she'd lost track. There was a little song for when they woke up, brushing their teeth, eating breakfast, and it went on and on until bed time when it was the lullaby. Singsong always loved that one the most. It was the perfect song to drift off to after a busy day at school.

Singsong's eyes lit up and she grinned widely at her brother, "Lets do the lullaby! Then every night before bed after they sing it to us, they can listen to it when they go to sleep. It's so pretty I think they'd really like it. What do you think?"
