Bio (Up to five sentences minimum):
Abel's history, is vastly different from most of his fellow Death Scythe. While the exact details of his birth and parents are unknown. While still just 5 years old, Abel would lose both his parents to thieves and robbers, who came to his home, in a far away town. While he was too young to truly remember the entire detail, one could argue that the entirety of his life, every decision he's made and his views on life, all of it, can be derived from this critical point in his life. He could remember the pain and agony that he had to endure, the overwhelming sadness and despair, was far too much for a young boy like him to handle. This pain caused him to close off his heart to those around him and caused him to be cast off into the slums of the town.
The next few months wouldn't be any better. For those six months, Abel had to struggle to survive. He resorted to stealing, pickpocketing and conning any and all who met him. He did everything he could, in order to survive, but even he didn't know why he wanted to continue living. One day, while attempting to steal some bread from a food stand, Abel would be caught by the stand owner and beaten within an inch of his life. Around here, this was common and there was nothing anyone could do to try and help him. Everyone only looked out for themselves and saw others, like Abel, who wore dirty clothes and was obviously living in filth as nothing but trash. They did not want to be seen associating with someone as low as him. After he had been beaten, Abel would be thrown down a dark alleyway, landing in a pile of garbage and mud. Abel could barely move, as he had suffered a broken arm and ribs in the beating. He could barely even breath, Abel would lay there, staring up at the sky, waiting for death to finally take him away. At that moment, a tall figure cloaked in black robes, would appear before the dying boy. "Poor unfortunate soul. You, who has had everything taken away from him, continue to live, but for what?" he asked, to which Abel would say nothing in reply. "Young one, do you wish to live? Do you wish to find your purpose in this world? I can give meaning to your life. If you wish to join me, all you must do is take my hand." the man stated as he leaned down and held out his hand.
Abel thought over the man's words, carefully. Did he want to find meaning in his life? Was there any need for him to do so, especially since he was already on the verge of death? Abel was confused and in that confusion, he would make a decision, that he has not yet regretted. Struggling to move his head towards the man, Abel opened his mouth, "Please..." he muttered as he managed to hold up his right arm, since the left was broken, and took the man's hand. The moment Abel took his hand, an ominous grin would spread across the man's face as his cloak fell over Abel, covering the boy's body completely and then, in an instant the two would vanish, leaving only the small indentation of Abel's body and the man's footsteps.
After leaving with the man, the next few years of Abel's life was one filled with long arduous days of training. It would take eight years of pure hell and torture, studying day after day, training for countless hours, practicing his stealth and hand to hand combat, to the point where he could take out any foe. If he should make a mistake or fall asleep during any of the studying, Abel would be beaten mercilessly and then forced to redo the tasks over and over again. Never once, did he have the chance to go and play like normal children, he did not have a single friend. His childhood was one of loneliness and sorrow, not being allowed to have any contact with other people, save for the members of the Organization, his mentor and the many of the animals that they raised.
Precisely three years later, when he had turned eighteen, Abel would finally be allowed to leave the compound, but only to complete his very first mission, which was the assassination of a rather high ranking family that was said to have had connections with one of the Noble Families around the world. His job was to eliminate the entire family, sparing no one. He would be accompanied by his mentor Kai. As they reached the destination for the contract, Abel became hesitant. This was the first time in about 10 years that he had been able to see the outside world, the smiling faces of other people, to actually see what it means to be free, as he was not free, he was a prisoner. Taking a deep breath, Abel quieted his heart, as this will be the first time he took the life of another being. Peering into the window of the rather large hone, Abel managed to make out at least thirty bodies in there, most of which, belonged to the maids and other staff. Closing his eyes, Abel took one last breath before slowly opening up the window and slide through, landing quietly on the floor, right behind one unsuspecting maid. Staring at the back of her head for a few seconds, Abel was starting to get nervous, but he knew that if he failed to kill everyone, then he himself, would be killed by Kai. Not wanting to die, himself, Abel quickly unsheathed a small dagger from a holster strapped on the back of his waist. The, rather quickly, he moved behind the maid, wrapped his hand around her mouth, stopping her from screaming and with a steady hand, slit the woman's neck, killing her instantly. With the lifeless body in his arms, Abel dragged it and placed it into a broom closet. Wiping off the dagger, he went on to his next target,
One by one, Abel would kill each and every servant that he came across, making sure that none ever saw his face or any of the bodies he left in his wake. He did this for at least an hour and within that time, he managed to take down half of the people he was meant to, but now that a majority of the staff was missing, the Lord of the manner would send out some of his guards to go and check on them, not knowing what was happening. Positioning himself atop a chandelier, Abel watched as four guards came into the kitchen, which was where he had just recently, finished disposing all of the cooks and butlers that were there. Abel had thought that he cleaned up the mess perfectly, but to his surprise, there would be a rather small pool of blood on the floor next to the pantry, where he stored most of the bodies. As one of the guards noticed the blood, he would call the other three over to the location. Knowing that should they be allowed to leave the kitchen alive, his mission would fail, Abel had no choice but to act, so as all four gathered around the spot, to inspect the blood, Abel would jumped from the chandelier, landing in between them. Removing his dagger, he slit the neck of one of the guards, took the sword that he was carrying and used it to impale the second one in head. Having already killed two, the other two would be next. Removing the sword from the second guard's head, Abel lunged towards the third one and pierced him in the heart. Not wanting to die, the fourth guard would try and make a run for it, heading out towards the Lord and the rest of family, but before he could reach the door, Abel had thrown the dagger towards him, stabbing him in the back of the head.
After that was done, the only ones left were the actual targets, meaning the Lord and Lady of the Manner. Sneaking into the room where the two resided, Abel saw that there were quite a few more people in there. Not only were there the Lord and Lady, but it seemed that a few of the servants as well as three more guards were stationed there. Scanning the room, Abel carefully made out a way to take out all of them at once. First he sneaked over towards the lighting and got rid of it, making the room completely dark. As this happened every would panic and seek the light. While everyone was so panicked, Abel took advantage and using his keen sense of hearing and smell, managed to find each individual and one by one, slit their throats. The only thing that could be heard was the blood spurting out of their necks. Abel did this until the only ones left were the Lord and his wife. At this time, he would turn the lights back on and to the horror of the two left, the entire hall had been dyed red with the blood of their servants and guards. Frozen with fear, the two could do nothing as Abel slowly made his way towards them. As he did, both pleaded for their lives, even tried to bribe him with all their fortune, to spare them, but Abel had no other choice. He did not want to die himself, so he would do anything it took to keep him from doing. "In this world, there are two choices one must make. To kill in order to survive, or to die, a weak and miserable death." he told the two before slitting their necks.
Once this happened, a high-pitched shriek would be heard coming from behind him. Having been caught off guard, Abel would turn around to see a young girl about 15 years old standing there, she must have been their daughter. Overcome with fear, the girl could not moving, she had just witnessed her parents being murdered right before her, what could should. Looking towards the girl, Abel did not know what to do. She was not on the lost of the ones that he was to kill, but she had witnessed everything, meaning that she could not live. Closing his eyes, Abel had to think things over carefully, one mistake and he will die. The girl continued to stand there, pleading to let her live, promising she would not tell anyone of what had happened. Hearing her words, Abel, opened up his eyes and started walking towards her, "P-Please, I won't tell anyone, just spare me. Please!" she begged. "I prom-" Before she could finish, Abel placed his bloodied hand around her mouth. Moving his face closer to hers, Abel's eyes told the story, his actions here today had left a scar in his heart and soul, causing him to no longer see the world as the warm, caring, happy place he thought it was. Now, he had seen the truth, this world is one of survival and death. You either kill to live or do nothing die. As he came to this revelation, his eyes were dull and almost lifeless, not a single spark could be seen, the boys spirit and will were broken, what stood before the young girl was no longer a man but an empty shell, without saying a word, Abel removed his hand from her face and in one quick motion, slit her throat. Leaving her lifeless body there, Abel had completed his mission and finally became a true assassin. He would then leave the manner, the same way he came, without making a sound. After leaving, news of what had transpired there, spread through out the world.
After that ordeal with his first mission, Abel became a rather cold and distant person. He would carry out each and every mission he was given without any hesitation. He became a merciless killer, slaying women, children, elderly, anyone who was on the list of targets, he would kill, no questions asked. He would continue doing this for several centuries. After doing this job for so long, Abel had become quite possibly, the best assassin in the Organization. His skills improved to the point that he had surpassed his own master and mentor, Kai, the very person who brought him into the Organization. Because of this, many people started seeing Abel as the leader instead of Kai, of course this led to many small skirmishes between members, those who will be forever loyal to Kai and those who wanted Abel to become their new leader. Abel, on the other-hand, did not care about leading, nor did he feel that he needed to lead, but due to his growing popularity, his mentor did not see it this way. Kai had begun to think that Abel was planning to overthrow him and take control of the Organization.
So, Kai would make a decision that forever changed not only his fate, but that of Abel and the entire organization as well. Kai, having become paranoid, ordered the members of the organization to seek out and kill, Abel and any who sided with him, as traitors, stating that he had evidence that Abel was secretly working together with some other members to kill him and hand over his head to the shinigami. This one action led to the downfall of the Organization as many of its members fault and killed one another. Abel, however, managed to escape the building before the order was issued, thanks to a spy he had implanted in Kai's personal guards. Having learned of what was happening, Abel would gather up what few members that had been out on missions and led them against Kai. Abel and his men, attacked the Organization. In the end, it all came down to Abel and Kai, master and student. Kai had lost all sanity and became a pale imitation of his former self, he was frail and weak and Abel saw this. Approaching his master, Abel pleaded with him to give the order to cease, so that they could keep what little remained of their organization, intact, but Kai was too far gone, he did not trust Abel, nor did he want to concede. So, with a dagger in his hand, Kai lunged towards Abel, intending to slay the boy where he stood. Seeing this, Abel sighed, as he had no choice but to take Kai down. With one quick motion, Abel removed his dagger and pierced Kai right in the heart, this sealed his fate. With a dry laugh, Kai fell to the ground, bleeding quickly, "Y-You've...doomed.yourself." he managed to say before closing his eyes and taking his last breath.
Abel had little time to ponder on what Kai meant, as there would be countless explosions heard going off all around and in the building. Looking towards his now deceased master, Abel saw that there was some sort of seal on tongue. Seeing this, Abel deduced that it was some sort of trigger, that was set to detonate bombs upon Kai's death. Not having enough time to flee, Abel could do little to save himself or the few that remained. With a smile on his face, Abel went and sat next to his master, looking down, "It's only fitting that I die this way." he muttered as the explosions came closer and closer, "Finally." Abel stated as the last explosion, engulfed the entire room, taking Abel and his master with him. With that, the entire organization, it's buildings and its people would be destroyed by the explosions, or almost.
Among the rubble and debris, a single body would be seen charred and bloodied, but still pulsed with life, it was none other than Abel. After everything settled down, several noises would be heard as countless figures suddenly appear atop the debris. Barely conscious, Abel would open up his eyes to see the men and women running around, searching for survivors. All of them wore black kimono and carried what looked like swords around there waist. Just then, one person in particular would appear before him. This man or some sort of being, was seemingly bathed in pure light and adorned in dazzling black robes. Looking upon the figure, Abel initially thought of him as death and greeted him with only a simple. Even in the face of death, he would smile, but the being quickly dismissed Abel's speculation. The being would tell Abel, that he was not death, but life or rather a second chance at life and redemption, he introduced himself as Lord Death, a rather ironic name as he just stated that he was not death. Being around for a long time and having connections all over the world, Abel had heard of and on occasion, fought against those that belong to Death City, but he did not expect Lord Death, himself, to be the last thing he saw, especially after all the things he did, but he didn't care, his time in this world was nearly over, he could finally rest, but it would appear that Lord Death had some other plan for him. "I can tell that you've been dealt a poor hand by fate. You've lived such a terrible and lonely life. Just by staring into your eyes, I can see that you and I are not so different, but if I can change, I know you can as well. If you will join me, I can show that there is more to this world than killing and bloodshed. I can show you a better life." Hearing him speak and watching as he held out his hand at him, Abel would slowly raise his hand to grab his, but stopped. He was hesitant, he was unsure of what he was supposed to do, should he live. He had no reason to live anymore, everything he had done, was all for survival, so what would his purpose be now that, that part of his life was done. After what seemed like hours, Abel decided that he would live, but only to find out a meaning for his existence. Reaching out, Abel grabbed the shinigami's hand, but fainted a few seconds later.
After this incident, Abel woke up in a strange place. It had nice white walls, wooden floors and very large, vastly different from his place back at the organization. Sitting up in the bed, Abel looked towards a window that had been left open. As he stared out at the clouds, everything would come back to him. His master's betrayal, their battle and the destruction of their base. He had lost everything. Without saying a word, Abel got up off the bed and walked around, testing his body. After having fought countless soldiers and having a building fall down on him, Abel's body was in surprisingly good shape, albeit a little stiffer than usual, as well as the newly acquired wounds that now covered his body, he was still alive and he owed it all to Lord Death Thinking over what the shinigami had told him, Abel wondered if he was being honest. That he could help him find a way to live, that doesn't force him to kill others just for the sake of killing.
As he walked out of the room, Abel found himself confronted by the shinigami once more. Still a little unsure about him, Abel kept the being at a distance, as he invited Abel for some tea in his office. Accepting his invitation, Abel followed the man to his room and sat across the table, staring at him. After a rather long and awkward stare down, Lord Death would be the first to speak up and ask Abel how he was doing. To which Abel shrugged off with a simple nod. "Well, let us cut right to the chase. You have no other place to go and the way I figure it, you need a place to live and I need strong and loyal members to follow me." Lord Death stated before taking a sip of his tea. "You and I are one in the same. My past is eerily similar to yours. I've done things that even till this day, I am ashamed of, but I am also able to smile and enjoy life, something that you obviously can not do." Hearing this, Abel's eyes narrowed as he had already figured out what Lord Death was getting to. "So, I will ask you this. Will you not join me, as my student and learn to feel, learn what it truly means to be free?" This sounded too good to be true and Abel was weary of this man's true intentions. With a smile, Lord Death would stand up, "I'll leave you here to ponder over my proposal. If you do wish to follow me, then you will need to start from the bottom, as with everyone else. If not, then I can find you a more suitable place where you can do whatever you please." With that, Lord Death left the room, leaving Abel there to think everything over.
For some reason, Abel found himself wanting to see just what this Lord Death had in mind for him and without thinking it over too much, he decided to he would follow this man, this shinigami. Having decided on joining him as a student, Abel had to go to the academy and start from the beginning, despite his extensive knowledge and experience, it seemed that many found him unrefined and savage. Learning the basics took most a few years but due to his own personal background and training, Abel managed to complete the academy in two years. After he had graduated from the academy, Abel would be placed in a team consisting of members handpicked by Lord Death, himself. During his earlier years as a member of the team, despite being recruited by Lord Death, himself, Abel was known to be a loner, never interacting with his fellow members or even sleeping in the same barracks. This earned him a pretty bad reputation and caused for him to be the victims of ridicule, threats and teasing, however, Abel was always the victor in every fight he had gotten into, without so much as a scratch. Of course this could be thanks to his time in the Organization, whose members did the same exact thing, the only thing that's different, is now he was a trained killer and was able to protect himself. It would be during this time, that Abel collected the required souls for him to become a Death Scythe and sealed his fate as one of the strongest weapons in Lord Death's arsenal. As of now, with Lord Death all but missing in action, Abel has never once shown himself in the city or even coming to visit Lord Death. He pretty much dropped off the face of the earth.
While Abel is incredibly loyal to Lord Death and Death City and takes his duties as a Death Scythe very serious, he also serves another role. Upon graduating from the academy, Abel would be approached by a few higher-ranking members of an hidden force that does things that Lord Death could not, sort of like a dark side. They would attempt to recruit him as an assassin, learning of his skills and history, they wanted to make good use of him, either for the betterment of the Death City or for their own selfish desires. Anyway, they wanted him. At first, Abel was hesitant, he did not want to go back into that life again, but it was too tempting and was a better use of his skills. So, unbeknown to Lord Death, Abel had accepted their offer and worked as their assassin while also being a Death Scythe.
Abilities:
- Electrokinesis: Ever since joining the DWMA and undergoing training by skilled teachers, Abel found that he had the ability to control and produce lightning/electricity using his own spiritual energy and body as a medium. Simply put, Abel is able to absorb, conduct, generate and manipulate a electricity, which gives him control over electric fields, electric charges, electric currents and other forms of electricity. With this, Abel can diverse various electrical-based attacks, ranging from simple to complex attacks. Their is a special passive ability granted to Abel by infusing his nerve endings with electricity. This rapidly increase his motor abilities, resulting in an phenomenal increase in speed in both Abel's movements and reactions, also pushing his physical prowess to the absolute limit in an engagement, allowing for tremendous raw speed and increased physical performance all across the board. Also, Abel can see the electric and magnetic field lines in the environment, even able to sense electromagnetic phenomena. However, he is able to follow the electric and magnetic field lines using their eyes. He also can analyze the reflections of electromagnetic waves they generate and therefore 'see' things all around them as a form of sixth sense, giving him a heightened sense of awareness and lowers the possibility of him being blind sighted.
- Raijū no Tsukisasu Kiba (Piercing Fang of the Thunder Beast): Abel channels a large amount of lightning to his hand. The amount of lightning is so great that it becomes visible; appearing as a mass of lightning that crackles violently in the user's hand; despite its chaotic appearance, it is actually rather concentrated and stable. Abel will then position himself in front of the target, once that is set he punches forward with the lightning fist, unleashing tremendous damage while releasing the lightning as a powerful blast that has the potential to pierce through an opponent's defense. Note, that this does not mean he is able to easily breakthrough through any and all defenses, only weaker one erected by weaker opponents. Abel can form this technique on both of his hands. He can use this move to stab a person or even use it to block blades, using it like a katana or any sort of bladed weapon. In other cases, Abel has been known to unleash the lightning from around his hand, as a quick and powerful concentrated energy blast, making it usable as both a long range and short range technique. However, it takes longer to use this form, because the energy needed is greater, but it deals more damage than just the regular one. Even if his opponent is not badly injured by this attack, he or she will be stung by the lightning which will, at the very least numb the attacked region and could even paralyze the target. [Must wait One post in order to use again. Has a chance of paralyzing the opponent.]
Raijin no Gekitai Shiyouheki (Repulsive Barrier of the Lighting God): Abel gathers lightning within the palms of his hands and spreads it out, manifesting it in the form of a wall composed of lightning that is situated in front him. This wall is not merely just a barrier made of lightning; it is an electrical magnet, with a high attraction to metals. There, Abel reverses the polarity of the magnet; which enables the wall to repulse metal objects, as a complete opposite to attracting such objects. The strength of this repulsing magnetic field is more than strong enough to alter the properties of any metal object that comes into contact with the wall; this magnetizes them, before the wall repels them. The projectiles that enter this repulsion field are violently thrown away in every which direction. This also affects energy-based attacks as well, using the electromagnetic field that is present around the attack, the wall will produce a field of the opposite effect, which would cause the attack to backfire and be shot back at the opponent. [Has a cool-down post of 3, the wall is approximately 5ft high and 4 3/4" thick.]
Raijin no Atae (Lightning God's Gift): Abel will encase his entire body in a layer of his own spiritual energy and send a surge of electricity flowing through his body, increasing his blood flow. This is used to pump blood faster through his body, as well as stimulate his nervous system, thus making him much faster and stronger, his punches and kicks are far more devastating than any normal Shinigami's would be in their Shikai form, perhaps even stronger than that. As seen when he was able to easily destroy a building with a single punch. His speed is increased to the point that it could rival that he could match any other Lieutenant toe to toe, however when compared to a Captain's his speed is still a little lacking. While this is active, Abel's body will appear to be wrapped in transparent blue and white cloak. His entire physical body turns a bright blue with dark outlines of his clothes. The color of his eyes changes from blue to white when he is in this form and the shroud/cloak like object he has is blue. This cloak, combined with Abel's superb melee and speed, allows him to utilize a wide array of techniques and maneuvers when in combat. The cloak also increases his defenses, reducing, the damage from incoming attacks, not effective against opponents of higher rank. Due to containing all of his spiritual energy in such a small vessel, i.e his body. The strain that it places on him is incredible, the moment he deactivates the technique, Abel's body will be wracked with pain, even he can't withstand. [Can only be used twice per battle and remain active for a total of 5 posts with a 5 post cool-down, however, after each use, Abel will be unable to move for one post and after the second time it is used, he will be unable to move for the rest of the battle.]
Nanchiyou Inin no Meimei Raiju (Deafening Howl of the Dark Thunder Beast):
Abel extends both arms before him, his palms open and facing the target. Sparks of lightning are generated between his arms, growing larger and larger, and gradually extending to the surrounding area; With his arms completely clad in lightning, Abel fires a massive, concentrated beam of the lightning at his target. Upon release the sound of the lighting is reminiscent to that of a Lion's or some other animal's roar, hence the name of the attack. The destructive force of the attack is enough to completely destroy the top of a building with just one blast. There are many variations of this technique, that Abel is seen using. One such variation, is using one arm and firing off a smaller, less powerful blast of lighting, but what he sacrifice in power and size, he makes up for with a much faster and accurate blast. The other way he is seen using this technique is quite rare and far more dangerous that the others. He only uses this variation when his arms are either bound or somehow usable, opening his mouth, a small orb of black lighting would begin to form and eventually increase to the size of a baseball. Once it reaches this point and the energy is at its maximum, Abel will unleash the orb, which transforms into a beam of similar size and length as the original upon being released, but it is able to be fired much quicker and is meant to be used at a close range. However, using this method causes the his mouth to suffer many burns and there is a possibly of the orb backfiring and completely exploding in his face. [Cool-down post of five. When using the second variation, the cool-down is lowered to three post, due to having less energy drained and sacrificing an extreme amount of power. If using the third method, the cool-down is instead four post, but there is a chance that it will explode and cause him damage.]
Raijin no Inbo Rihi (Lightning God's Final Judgement): This is Abel's strongest, most devastating, and most dangerous technique for his opponent and himself. Due to the extreme dangers of using this technique, Abel has made it a rule to only use this technique as an last resort or trump card. The crucial part of this technique relies completely on the preparatory set up that is needed. The first step, starts when the battle is first begun, because of Abel's lightning-enhanced speed, every time he moves, he chips away at surfaces, creating more innate levels of dust particles in the air. Over the course of a battle, this dust accumulates in the atmosphere and eventually this will lead to violent storms starting to form over the battlefield. Once an sufficient amount of stormy weather has been made, Abel will initiate that next step immediately. With the charge of his own spiritual energy, Abel will bring forth a destructive maelstrom of lightning upon the entire battlefield. As this is real lighting enhanced and guided down to the ground by Abel, each bolt has enough force to eradicate large structures and cause subsequent explosions. Delivering total and utter destruction to the battlefield and all those on it, both enemy and ally. Since this uses real lighting, this technique requires the less energy to use, but the risks are more than enough to make Abel fear using it. Since Abel can not actually control the lightning bolts, he and his allies are in danger of being struck and possible fatally injured just as much as the enemy. Each lightning strikes has an explosive damage radius of 5 meters or 16ft each, while the storm encompasses a total of 150 yrds or a average American football field plus another half. Using this techniques will hastily drain what little stamina Abel already posses, meaning this is a one time move, anymore and he could possibly die. Should Abel be disturbed in any way while guiding the lighting bolts down, the bolts will all dissipate while draining the remaining energy that Abel has or there is a change that they will converge on one location, which is Abel's position. Should that happens, Abel will be as good as dead. [Only usable one time per battle. If he loses concentration, there is a chance of the bolts vanishing or they can all be drawn towards Abel, striking him all at once, in which case, he will either be killed or very near death.]
World of Death: A rather unique skill, that Abel learned during his time at the Organization. After reciting the incantation, "Bring forth the blades of hell." an eerie blue fire will appear around Abel, it doesn't emit any heat. It will then spread out to form a boundary and wall forming a bounded field. A bright light fills the vision of those present, and manifests an open, barren desert with nothing but clouds in the bleak sky. The field is littered with countless swords anchored in the ground like grave markers in a waste-yard. Over all, it looks very ominous and gives off the appearance of a graveyard with swords acting as tombstones. The entire area around Abel and his opponent will be encased in a dome of blue fire, within that dome the ground will become barren and rocky, with an infinitesimal amount of swords scattered through the area. Only Abel can use the swords scattered in the area, but he cane alter it so that even his opponent can use them. However, he only does this when it is against an opponent he truly respects and who respects him. Abel calls the dome that surrounds him and any in the vicinity, Death's Temple, in respect to Lord Death. Abel is able to not only use the many blades that are there, but construct as many as he wants, as long as he is within the area. The dome contains all of the raw materials and energy needed for the formation of the swords, all of which can be modified to his liking. The swords can be summoned directly to Abel's hands, or they can be summoned to levitate within the air and fire upon the enemy as arrows. Once the dome is deployed, all of the swords are available for Abel to use, and any sword can immediately be called to his hands or levitate around him, even while he is in direct combat.
- Death's Grasp: Is a passive technique in which Abel, utilizing Death's Temple, telepathically summons forth and uses the countless blades scattered on the ground. In short, this ability grants Abel the power to actually use and wield each of the swords scattered around him, either in an offensive or defensive manner, using telepathy to control their every move. He can group them together, forming what ever object he wishes, once the object is formed, Abel can unleash the creation at his opponent. The amount of swords used for this technique is enough to kill most targets that are not heavily durable or under some sort of defense. At a moment's notice, with a mental command, Abel is capable of reverting the object formation, back into individual swords, effectively breaking their grouping and allowing him to shred opponents at a distance and break through almost any defense. The blades can be used for defensive purposes, as they can protect Abel from an incoming sword swing, by either using them separately to parry or block another bladed weapon or combining them together and forming something akin to a shield, sometimes a dome or wall of swords, providing him with a very durable and sturdy defense.

Skills/Attributes:
- Agility/Speed: Abel has shown incredible speed-levels, capable of keeping up with and, in some cases, outrunning higher ranked enemies with little to no effort shown. He is considered to be highly skilled in this area, demonstrating excessively fast movement in combat, and the ability to outclass even the fastest of opponents. Part of this speed and ability is due to his training in the Organization, taking the knowledge gained from that, Abel has significantly strengthen his own speed. However, when compared with those of higher power, his speed is shown to be merely above average, but still easily readable. Due to his physique and build, Abel is very agile and nimble, being able to maneuver his way out of situation where many would give up.
Skilled Swordsmen: The one thing that Abel is known for is his skill in hand to hand combat, but his ability with the sword is still quite impressive. He has shown to be well adapt and highly experienced in the way of the sword. Abel, while showing that he is an aggressive opponent at all times, does not show it in his swordsmanship. No, when using his sword, he is a lot more attentive and defensive. His style is elegant and focused, utilizing balance and footwork to outmaneuver opponents with fluid motions rather than strength. All of this, coupled with the numerous years of training and near-death battles, have forged Atticus into quite the formidable swordsmen.
Endurance: Despite not appearing very muscular and having what many would say, a rather bland appearance. Underneath that attire of his, lies countless wounds, both fatal and non-fatal, all of which he sustained before becoming a Death Scythe. Abel possesses a fair deal of durability capable of withstanding several hits and still stand up again. He has shown to be able to fight for prolonged periods of time, even after sustaining severe damage to his body. Between his extensive martial arts training and his long years of service to Death City, Abel has built up his endurance enough that he is capable of taking quite a large amount of damage before actually showing the signs of pain or injuries.
Highly Intelligent/Strategic Tactician: Even before becoming a Death Scythe, Abel had shown himself to be intelligent, analytical, perceptive, and deductive, at a very young age. When in battle Abel is able to calmly determine the pattern of his opponent's battle methods and correctly deduce a proper counter-strategy to defeat them. As shown when he was with Lord Death, Abel could easily understand intricate concepts and theories that most can not. He is able calmly and rationally observe an opponents movements in battle and relate them to his or her personality and deduce the numerous outcomes of their behavior. Many could say that, this is probably Abel's most gifted ability. He is able to deceive and manipulate others around him in different ways for a variety of purposes; without so much as an ounce of remorse.
Master of Stealth/Assassination: Abel is shown to be especially gifted in the art of stealth and assassination. Through his time in the Organization, Abel learned and mastered a vast array of skills, such as pickpocketing, hiding his presence, and stealth and public assassination techniques; being a master of stealth and assassination. He has extensive knowledge of the human body's pressure points and most vulnerable organs; he has repeatedly proven to be insightful and crafty, capable of quickly understanding any situation that presents itself and adjusting to it effectively. With these skills, Abel is very deadly, being able to erase every trace of his existence from the enemy's eyes, and striking them before they notice him, and he has developed his natural five senses, most notably his sense of hearing, and has quick reflexes.
Unrivaled Master of Martial Artist: Abel is an extremely proficient and some would say, master unarmed fighter, which is quite surprising, due to his very frail and weak physical appearance. There is no sign of any muscle tone or any sort of definition. He is able to incorporate his own spiritual energy into his offensive-style of punches and kicks. When utilizing hand to hand combat, his fighting style focuses on direct, brutal, unrestrained and powerful punches and kicks, in order to dispatch his foe as quick as possible. With his speed, he can disable an opponent through the force of his blows alone, while leaving them at the mercy of his incoming attacks. Due to his many years of combat experience and time both on and off the battlefield, Abel has a very large degree of physical strength, most commonly displayed by his ability to fight back his opponent's attacks with a single arm. From being able to fight off a massive hollow by kicking it through a building and slamming it over his shoulder with one hand in battle. While it is unclear what kind of martial arts he uses, in fact many think it is a mixture of different styles, it appears as if he prefers moves which are quick, precise and deadly. He is seen mostly using his hands and arms, but as we've seen, he is also well adept at using his entire body. Primarily relying on damaging his opponents, Abel has a very flexible physique that goes well with his fighting style. Abel's fighting style focuses on quick, graceful, and yet at times, merciless strikes to his opponents vital areas. He has been seen smashing the heads of his enemies into the ground and delivering devastating kicks to their necks or torso. He is very deadly when it comes to this.
Equipment and Attire:
- Kai (Dagger): Hidden underneath his clothes, lies an beautifully crafted dagger, that Abel obtained as a young child. Quite long for a dagger it has a delicately curved edge and a jagged point on the back of the blade. He carries it in a tiny sheath, that is also hidden from view. Abel used the dagger for many of his earlier crimes and assassination, so it holds a special meaning to him. He shows extreme skill with the weapon, but only uses it for assassinating. He rarely uses it when in battles, unless it is to his advantage.
Needles: Located in a black pouch, tied around his waist and resting secretly behind Abel's back, these needles are incredible sharp and long. Hand forged by the finest black-smith in the underground, these needles are made of some rather sturdy metal that can only be found in West Rukongai and coated in a thin layer of poison The poison, while not lethal, should it hit a target, the area in which the needle made contact, will become temporarily numb, if enough needles are used, or if it should hit the correct pressure point, the target will lose consciousness for about two hours. Abel has been seen using these on various missions that require absolute stealth and precision. Of course, due to handling the needles himself, Abel has been poisoned, but as the years progressed his body has grown immune to it.
Hidden Wire: Also located in the same black pouch, is a small, sharp and thin, roll of steel wire. The wire is as thin as a spider's web, but as sharp and strong as a katana. This was Abel's first tool used on his first ever assassination, which happened before he received the dagger. The wire is deadly enough that it could, with the right amount of force and pressure, slice through skin and reach bone, while not completely severing whatever limb it is used on. While he is rarely shown using it anymore, Abel wields this wire like a professional.
