"Oh, like the hydro-power plant in the city only a much smaller scale," Ren replied when Nicholai explained about the water powered generator. He settled down to watch the DVD. "It's animation! They don't make animations any more, I've never seen one - only stills in history class. This is amazing!" he commented then fell silent to concentrate on viewing the movie.

xx✎I'm all alone Exactly like that. Only not so grand, as Ren stated. He leaned back to watch the movie as Ren leaned forward to focus on it. It wasn't a lesson. He didn't have to focus so much. But, Nicolai didn't say anything. He knew this was all new to him.Out Of Creativity: --

After a while, Ren got really carried away with the movie and he relaxed more, leaning back comfortably on the couch and putting an arm around Nicholai's shoulders. "I'm enjoying this very much" he commented quietly once.

xx✎I'm all alone Nicolai was glad to hear Ren liked the movie. It was one of Nicolai's favorites. It was heartwarming and to ride on a dragon would be very fascinating and thrilling. He sat quietly with Ren until the movie ended. At that point, he leaned forward and rubbed his eyes a bit. Nicolai always got teary-eyed near the end for some reason. Probably because Hiccup managed to bond with Stoick. Hit him right in the heart. "So? Thoughts on your first movie?"Out Of Creativity: --

Ren gave Nicholai a brilliant smile. "That was wonderful! Amazing!" he enthused. "It was a little emotional in parts. I so enjoyed that. I wish there really were dragons to fly on, I should so love to do that. Tell me, how were social classes divided at the time this was created? Hiccup was Kurai but Astrid was Burondai. They were all just...mixed, blondes and darks. I know that used to be the way but how then was caste decided? Please explain it to me." He hadn't actively had to remember to say please that time, it has just slipped out naturally without his even really noticing.

Ren listened intently to Nicholai's explanation with a concentrated frown. He nodded his understanding. "Like Elvis. He had black hair but he could sing well so he was high caste? Colouring was irrelevant? So...what about you? What was your social status? What would mine have been? Father says we're descended from European royalty and that is why we're fair."

If he hadn't taken up that career, he wouldn't have been so high up. He wouldn't be the King of Rock." When asked about the two of them, Nicolai shrugged. "My family used to be wealthy. Very wealthy. But, then my mother single handedly gambled away all our money. So, we lost everything. This was before I was born. After I left home and joined modern society, I became an author. A very popular one. So, I was very successful and wealthy." As for Ren.... "Even though you would have been high up on the chain, your wealth comes from your father. As handsome as you are, very few people would have admired you. Back then, you'd have been the rich brat people thought the world would be better off without.
