Personality: Miles is a very quiet and focused individual. When he speaks he is generally calm and cool about it even if he's in a fight or a difficult situation. He has trouble interacting with people since he has spent most of his life training and meditating. He usually only shows emotion in subtle ways but can feel extreme emotions like anyone else. He is soft spoken and due to his upbringing of almost complete isolation he is a little unfamiliar with society and the world at large. Miles follows the strict code he was raised with to the letter and is very demanding of himself with a strong sense of honor and integrity.
For most of his life Miles was isolated from the rest of the world, living in the mountain with the other members of the organization under constant, grueling training every day from sunrise to sunset. He was trained in everything from mathematics, to science, to philosophy but most of his training was spent on mastering meditation and fighting techniques.
History: Miles's first memories are of the orphanage he grew up in as a child. He doesn't remember his parents or have any idea who they were. He grew up to about the age of six at the orphanage until one day he and his friends were abducted by slavers to fight in the arenas. He and one other friend managed to escape but they knew they could no longer stay in the city where they were raised. Ultimately he and his second friend were forced to part ways before they found a safe place where they could stay. A short time later he was found wandering the mountains by a reclusive organization known as Servi Bellum. They were a cross between warrior monks and knights. They accepted him into their organization, training him from youth until age 16 when he passed his final test into what they deemed adulthood. Once Miles reached adulthood he was considered a graduate from the organization and achieved the rank he has now. (Miles is actually his rank within the organization, which Servi Bellum members take as their first name whenever dealing with outsiders.) He was given the option to either stay as a teacher or go out in the world to seek a new purpose. He chose the latter.
Immediately after graduating, Miles's first action was to locate the other friend he escaped with. He did, finding him in a much wealthier lifestyle having been adopted by an extremely wealthy couple. Together they agreed to save their still-trapped friend now known in the areas as "The Reaver". Along with several others they hatched a plan to create a distraction during one of The Reaver's matches and quickly free him. Ultimately they succeeded, rescuing their friend and giving him a second chance at life. He, Magnus and The Reaver (now known as Eric) each went their own way due to different circumstances and now Miles is once again on his own.
Once again venturing out into the world to seek his purpose, Miles came across the DWMA. He investigated the DWMA for over a month, visiting Death City and touring the school itself to determine whether or not this was a place dedicated to a worthy cause. After much reflection he decided that fighting for the DWMA was his calling and he took the entry test. After a lifetime of studying and training, Miles was able to ace the test, testing out of both his first and second year, only his lack of practical experience held him back.
Once he had passed the exam and been accepted, he swore an oath to Lord Death personally, to serve him and his cause to the grave.

----Abilities and Techniques Information----
Proficiebat Anima perceptio
- This works like Soul Perception except it can sense illusions and see through Soul Protect. In order to do the two latter, Miles must enter an extremely deep state of meditation. This requires him to kneel or lie down. Once in this state he can detect the location of any demon or witch regardless of Soul Protect, and/or determine whether or not the reality he is currently experiencing is an illusion within several minutes.
Anima Nex
- Miles enters a meditative state during which his full potential is put into offense. As long as Miles remains calm and in control his attacks can cause extreme damage, even to very powerful opponents. His eyes glow a bright blue while using this ability.
E Pluribus Unum
- Miles uses his intense control of his resonance force to send it out into the surrounding environment. After a moment of letting it soak in, Miles quickly pulls it back to himself. In doing so, many parts of the environment will rip away and come towards him as well. This can include but is not limited to rocks, chunks of ground, trees, pieces of buildings, cars and lampposts. Once they reach Miles they begin to whirl around him in a large circle, bound together by his focused resonance force. This effectively creates a powerful shield around him that it extremely hard for an opponent to penetrate either physically or with projectile attacks. At will, Miles can disperse this shield by causing it to explode outwards causing damage to anyone close enough to be hit by the resonance-powered debris.
Terminal Impetum
- Miles uses this ability when he goes up against a much tougher opponent and needs a powerful boost. This is the height of Miles's mastery of offensive wavelength. When activated, his eyes turn red and red resonance force burns around his arms. The ability causes his offensive damage to sky-rocket by a certain amount, depending on how he chooses to use it. He can use this ability in three different ways:
1. His offensive damage increases X 4 for 3 posts
2. His offensive damage increases X 6 for 2 posts
3. His offensive damage increases X 8 for 1 post.
If Anime Nex is active when he uses this ability, then offensive multiplier increases by a factor of 2:
1. Damage increases X 6 for 3 posts
2. Damage increases X 8 for 2 posts
3. Damage increases X 10 for 1 post
Melius Mortuis
- This ability requires Miles to be physically touching an enemy. Once Miles grabs an enemy and activates the ability, a massive reaction of resonance force begins to surge through his body. Like a chain reaction, the resonance force starts to detonate sending surges of energy in the form of painful explosions ripping throughout his body as well as whoever he's holding on to. If he is able to hold onto his opponent for more than 3 seconds the same begins to happen to his opponent. Both he and his opponent continually take serious damage until the ability ends. If this ability is not ended quickly enough it may kill Miles. The chain reaction continues until either Miles lets go of his enemy, or he dies.
