Personality: Leto, even during his time in the DWMA, was known for being a pacifist. Despite his skills and abilities, Leto has no desire to neither, fight, kill or harm any other being. Even in battle he stands on the sides and observes, only when he or his partner is attacked or threatened, will he ever openly act and even then, he only used self-defense techniques and never actively aimed to strike his opponent. Though, if the situation is dire enough he will resort to fighting, but only if it is a life or death situation. Above all else, Leto is fiercely loyal to Death City and the shinigami, going as far as to becoming a defender of the city and self-proclaimed knight. On rare occasions, when Leto is on the brink of death, severely injured or has something affect his emotional state in a way that he is unable to control himself or his actions, he reverts back into a more primal and berserk like version of himself. One would recognize that this was the version of Leto that appeared after he slaughtered his entire family and went on a rampage. When he's like this he loses track of everything around him and only focuses on a single target, unable to distinguish friend from foe, he will go on a rampage attacking the first or anyone that happens to be in his line of sight. He will attack them relentlessly, until they are dead or he is brought down.
History:
Most physical and stored records of Leto's past has been sealed away or either destroyed by the current Lord Death. Because of this, many do not know where Leto came from, who is parent's are or how he came to be a student and eventual graduate at the DWMA. However, through some encouraging from his peers and out of pure annoyance, Leto, on rare occasions have told a few of his comrades, about his past, more specifically about his family and how he came to Death City. Leto was born into a rather noble and widely popular, family. He was born as Leon G. Bernhardt, the only child of the family. While on the outside, his family was seen as kind and honorable people, behind closed doors, it was revealed that they were truly despicable. Whatever good that they did, always came at a price, whether it was total control of a business, bankrupting their competition, or even hiring mercenaries to take out potential threats, they did whatever it took to achieve their wealth. When they found out about their pregnancy, Leto's parents, saw this as an opportunity to experiment and produce the ultimate or rather, perfect human being and heir to their fortunes. So, during his birth, his parent's hired a rather famous and some would say, insane, doctor to experiment on Leto. This experiment, involved taking the spirit particles in the surrounding and infusing them into the newborn's soul. This caused his soul to change and mutate into something....different. While it was a miracle that Leto survived such a thing, the results of the experiment was completely useless. Leto's soul did not produce the overwhelming aura or size that they had hoped, they deemed it a failure and Leto as well.
The next few years of Leto's life was horrible. Being deemed a failure and disappointment, Leto didn't receive the love and care from his parents as most children did. No, instead, he was pushed aside and taken care of by one of the many maids and butlers that they had. His parents were rarely around and when they were they rarely spoke to him. He was treated more like a pet, than a child. As the years progressed, his parent's became more and more distance, to the point that they were never in the same room as him, in fact, the mere mention of his name caused them to cringe. Leto noticed this and strove to become the perfect son, but the more he tried to win over their affection, the more he noticed that they would never accept him. Realizing this, Leto stopped trying to grow close to them and soon enough, he too avoided them. However, soon, the affects of the experimentation on his soul, began to show itself, manifesting in Leto's electrical powers, which showed during one of the rare times that he and his parents were in the same room. Leto, somehow released a spark of lighting and paralyzed one of the maids. Seeing this, his parents became intrigued at the aspect of granting powers to humans. If they could replicate the same experiment, they could bestow powers upon themselves and others, they could become stronger than most, they could become gods. With this in mind and with Leto as the perfect specimen, his parents would begin experimenting on the boy.
Leto endured harsh experimentation, week after week. The pain was excruciating, but the boy felt happy. He was happy that his parents spent time with him, even as they began messing with his soul, he continued to smile, as this was the closest he had been to them, he was truly happy. However, this happiness soon faded, as the experiments grew crueler and more painful. And then, it happened. One day, while experimenting with madness and how to infuse it into a human, Leto's mind would snap. Releasing a tremendous amount of electricity, Leto would focus it into a beam and in one quick motion, break himself free of the bindings. With a crazed look in his eyes, Leto would go on a rampage electrocuting and killing anyone who approached him, all except for his parents. They were the only ones spared from his wrath. Approaching his parents, Leto seemed to have gained control over himself. As he neared them he would call out their names, he would call out to his parents for comfort and yet, all he received was a punch to the face and vase thrown at him. With a broken nose and various cuts over his face, Leto looked at his parents. There was no love in their eyes, nor their hearts. Seeing this, Leto had finally had enough. Enough of this world, enough of his so-called parents, so with whatever power he had left, the boy would release powerful blast of electricity, enough to fry his parents and bring down the entire building around them.
As for what followed next....well that is a story for another time. This is usually when Leto stops telling his story, either out of boredom or not wanting to reveal how he survived and came to Death City.

----Abilities and Techniques Information----
Electric Soul
- Electric Soul is a rather crude name for this specific ability, but Leto has grown accustomed to it. Electric Soul, is an innate ability born within the souls of very few individuals. When Leto was born, the doctor who delivered him, was asked to perform a dangerous procedure, by Leto's parents. The doctor would infuse Leto's soul with spirit particles, causing it to undergo some sort mutation and transform it into a weirdly colored soul, one brimming with electrical sparks and waves. As a result of this action, Leto has the innate ability to generate, produce, control or manipulate the atoms/[articles in the air around, usually in the form of sparks, essentially, this allows form him to manipulate electricity, more specifically, lightning. With Electric Soul, Leto is able to pull off various forms of attacks and maneuvers, incorporating his lightning into it. The one unique thing about his lightning is that the damage inflicted by the Lightning, is unable to be mended by normal means, i.e healing abilities, regeneration or such and the pain/damage is 5x worse. This is because of the special properties that make up the lightning, as such, one must first counteract the lightning, changing it's properties back to that of normal lighting and then tend to the wound. Despite years of training and practice, he has still yet to fully master his Electric Soul, as such, on occasions, when he does use this, he will suffer an electrical discharge, often resulting in him being struck by his own lightning.
Beat of the Soul
- A very powerful and useful ability that Leto discovered through his training within the DWMA. Due to his unique and it's mutations, Leto discovered that when he resonates with his partner, he is able to hear the "beat" of her soul and by going along with the beat and playing a melody that matches the wavelength perfectly, he is able to unlock her hidden potential and draw out her maximum power, with little to no strain to her or her soul. Though it does take time for him to perfectly sync with her wavelength, as such, he will only do this if the battle requires it and has the adequate amount of time to prepare for it. In short, when the two resonate, but find that their power is still lacking, Leto is able to use this ability to temporarily unlock Nagisa's true strength. Her physical and mental limitations are released for a period of 1 hour, during which, her strength, speed, endurance, stamina, etc. All of it is at it's peak. What makes this even more useful is that should him and Nagisa form a chain resonance, with another team they, too, will be able to get the benefit of this. [Lasts for apprx. 5 posts]
Soul Force: Electricity
- A very powerful and deadly technique that requires the use of his meister and her soul. Soul Force: Freeze, as the name suggests, involves the use of one's soul in order to paralyze the very soul of your opponent. For this to work, Leto is a necessity, or rather his Electric Soul. Because of it's unique composition, Leto is able to channel his electricity/lightning into the soul of his partner, causing her to temporarily house the same electric ability as Leto, himself. With this ability, his partner can use the electricity within her soul and send it outwards and at their target. While this doesn't attack the opponent directly or deliver any sort of physical damage. Instead, the electricity will pass through the opponent's body and attack his or her soul, directly. As soon as this happens, the opponent finds themselves frozen, or to put it more clearly, paralyzed. [Paralysis lasts for 2 Posts.]
Soul Rhythm
- Soul Rhythm similar to, Beat of the Soul, is an ability that starts out with Leto able to feel the "rhythm" of his partner's soul and by producing a soul wavelength that matches the rhythm, he is able to restore portions of his meister's stamina and heal minor to serious wounds, either physical or mental. When using this ability, both partners as well as those around them, will be able to hear a harmonious tune and see a golden light embrace the duo, upon which the wounds either one sustained would be healed and their stamina restored. As with Beat of the Soul, should him and Nagisa form a chain resonance, with another team they, too, will be blessed with this healing affect.
