 Still, even though he didn't seem to want to be thanked or get recognized for doing something generous. She felt the need to do something for Nicolai, but what could she do? People watched them and she looked at them for a moment before she looked ahead and towards Nicolai. So, he lived here? It certainly was large, but she knew that not everything was what it seemed. "What are you currently working on?" She asked as they entered the elevator.

xx✎I'm all alone What was he working on? Nicolai pressed the button to his floor before holding onto the bar. He wasn't scared of heights, but elevators freaked him out. He'd take the stairs, but he'd have at least five heart attacks before reaching his floor. "The next book in my adventure series. I've been torn on where the character goes next, but I have an idea that might be interesting to keep the series from being linear and predictable."

"Adventure? Hmm I don't think I have read anything like that." She said thinking about everything that she read and done in the years of her existence. "May I ask what your adventure is about? I am curious is all. I take interest in various artforms." She wondered where the characters would end up going.

"It's...about a kid who travels and tries to save his world from being destroyed by calling on the power of their gods. It's not easy to explain. I suppose you'd have to read them to understand it completely." He didn't want to spoil the story for her in case she did decide to read it. The elevator stopped and the doors opened, revealing a short hallway. There was only one door, and in front of it stood a young woman. She had long red hair and was a bit shorter than the average woman, wearing a yellow raincoat. "Marcia? How long have you been here?" "Not long. About three minutes? I made too much spaghetti for dinner tonight. Will and I thought you'd like some. There's garlic bread and a few pieces of banana cream pie for you, too." Marcia then noticed the woman with Nicolai, and she blinked. "Oh, hello. I've never seen you around....Are you a friend of Nicolai's?" "This is Cassandra. She's new in town and doesn't have a place to stay, so I offered her a room here for awhile." Marcia didn't look at all sceptical, and simply accepted the story. Was that what she was really thinking, though? Nicolai could never tell. "That's sweet of you, Nicolai. The more I get to know you, the more I realize why Will's so infatuated with you. Well, I better go before he starts to worry. Enjoy the dinner!"

the gothic beauty 2 "Perhaps I will have to read it or them." She said before they came to a woman holding something. Cassandra looked down as the woman spoke. "William?" She asked wondering who these people were to the immortal. Were these humans aware of who he was? "Seems your kindness is something everyone likes about you." She stated wondering just what he would eat. She was rather curious about what people are in this day and glanced at the container.

"So, they are like family to you." She said with a smile before she went into the penthouse and followed Nicolai into the dining room (?). "I am able to eat and I do get hungry, I just don't need to eat as often as most people do. It smells good whatever it is." She said after a moment her focus on what was around her. "Um... is there anywhere I can dry off?" She asked not wanting to let his suit coat get any wetter then it was.

He's too in love with me to be considered family." He chuckled softly. "It's spaghetti and garlic bread. It's very good." Dry off? Nicolai's face turned red in embarrassment and he runs the back of his head. "Right! Sorry....This way."
