Winter was coming close, but this wouldn't stop this pint sized unicorn! "I'm on a mission to find some cool flowers for dad!" Sugar shine said with his hooves on his hips. He went back to all fours as he headed towards the lagoon to see if there were any pretty flowers he had saw in his picture book. "Maybe I'll find a starfish flower!" He said with a giggle as he trotted close towards the water's edge.

Wave Watcher felt the water temperature go colder but it didn't bother him much at all. it was only the surface he had to worry about since deep down the conditions didn't change.

But he had to swim up and out of his lair to see if any phony needs saving. The last thing he wanted to witness is someone drowning in the waters he lived in. He took big strokes and exercised his lungs as he swam toward the sunlight.

Sugar shine sat near the edge of the water, gazing at his own reflection. "Is that what I really look like?" He said as he tilted his head to the side. He admired his hair, but could barely see his horn. He gave a sigh as he noticed his coat was black like his dad's, but there was some orange. "I wonder who my mom is?" He said as he questioned the horn, but no wings.

He swam and swam until he was almost at the surface. Near the shore he eyed a little patch or orangeyreddish colours hovering near the water.

Wave couldn't see clearly since he was still swimming his way up, but it was swaying left and right above the waterline. "Is that...FIRE!" He screamed and spat out air bubbles. Eyes wide with adrenaline filling his body, he picked up his speed and took a leap out of the water.

"FIRE!" He shouted out loud and gasped as he realised that there was none of that and just a colt with orangeyreddish hair!

It was too late to stop himself as he whirled and soared through the air about ready to collide with the poor little unicorn...
