RP Prompt -Prompt Two Wrote
Your Nightmare sees an abandoned plushie sitting on the ground by a tree in the courtyard. It looks nearly new and kind of expensive! What does your Nightmare do after they notice it?
Daithi decided to walk around outside and look for something to draw while he had time and no classes. As he walked through the courtyard he noticed this really nice plushie sitting there under a large tree.
Someone must have lost it or left it here. There was no way someone would just leave such a nice and soft plushie out like this, he thought. It must belong to another freshling living in one of the nearby houses, no one else would really be around here to lose it.
He sat down in front of the plushie and got out his pencil and sketch pad, this seemed like it could be a pretty interesting picture. He quickly started to sketch out the plushie and the tree behind it to get the scene and memory down on paper. He was sure who ever this little guy belonged to would miss it and want it back quickly. The way the plushie looked and was lighted or shaded by the tree made it a very interesting and pretty to him. He was going to have to really sit down later and make this into a nice drawing but a sketch would have to do for now. He knew if it was him, he wouldn't want to be without his soft plushie for very long.
Picking up the plushie he set it on the top of his head and started to skip towards his house first. If it belonged to anyone there, it would be much easier though he can't remember anyone owning one like this. Doesn't mean one of them didn't and it would be really fast for him to ask around since he knew everyone.
Quickly going room to room he asked if anyone lost the plushie that was sitting on his head and not a single person in his house knew whose it was. He didn't think that anyone in his house had owned or lost the plushie, so the question was who was the most likely to have left it out there.
Deciding that the Eldritch house was the closest and most likely to have left something out in the nearby courtyard, that seemed like a good place to start. So skipping down the halls he approached anyone who was out or had their door open to ask if they had lost a plushie. When no one had he sighed and decided to try all the doors that were shut.
He knocked on each door and then phased his head through the door looking through it into each room. Almost all were empty, so he got no answer when asked if someone had lost a plushie. He had gone through many rooms and was starting to think it wasn't anyone in this house when as he stuck his head through the door he heard the soft sound of someone crying.
"Ummm, excuse me, has someone in here lost a cute and soft plushie?"
The crying stopped for a moment and a fallen freshling he hadn't seen before poked her head around the corner, looked at him confused like he was doing something strange. "How are you doing that and do you know where Mr. Patchy is?"
Daithi sat there and thought about it for a moment, "I don't know how I am doing this, I have just always been able to do it." He stepped through, pulling the plushie with him as he entered, "Is this Mr. Patchy? I found him out by the big tree."
She ran towards him and grabbed the plushie, hugging him close obviously very happy to have him back. "I must have left him there when I fell asleep and one of the nice people here picked me up and brought me back to my room. When I woke up without him next to me, I had no idea where he was." She was starting to sniffle like she was going to cry again, "Thank you so much...mister...?"
Daithi was feeling very uncomfortable with her on the edge of crying again. He didn't know how to react to sad people but he answered her question quickly hoping that she would be distracted and avoid her crying. "Daithi, its nice to meet you."
She nodded and snuggled into her plushie and looked up at him, "My name is Castlin. Thank you for my plushie again, I really missed him." She went back to snuggling into the plushie almost ignoring him.
Feeling very uncomfortable and ignored, he started to back up towards the door, "I am happy he found his home again, have a good day." As he turned he went to walk through the door but he just ran into it face first not phasing through. He rubbed his nose and calmed down a bit then pushed his hand through the door and followed it out into the hallway leaving her alone with her lost plushie.
Future Plans - Daithi really wants to be a teacher or professor and own his own alchemy shop. Being able to mix new things together and trying to get different reactions and discovering something new is something that seems really cool and a lot of fun to him. He would also really like to have the freedom totravel and see the world, maybe discovering something new. Seems like a lot of fun to find and discover new places and things in the world. Then maybe even seeing how the new items, places or magic mixes with that he already knows.
