His grin widened slightly as Sono seemed to find his joke actually humorous, unlike some others who would have scolded him or even told him to get out with all that. It amused him, so what was the harm. He nodded slightly as he mentioned it then listened to his speak, pleased that Sono seemed to be very understanding and even relieved with how the Sanctuary was being run. He glanced down at the paperwork as well and smiled, "Well, it's just the formality of paperwork. Name, item, if you have others that will be coming to stay with you, and if you have any special accommodations you may need. After that, I give you a key to a home in the housing district and you stay as long as you like. I can even show you to the house if you like." he offered with a smile, pulling a pen from the holder to set on the desk for Sono to fill out should he choose to stay at Sanctuary or not.

"Ah, well then, if that's all there is I can fill this out now." Sono flashed his usual pleasant smile, then began filling out the information. Since most of it was fairly basic, he didn't mind sharing it-- it wasn't anything people wouldn't be able to find from his old school file anyway. Anything that was optional, he left blank if it felt too risky to share... Once that was done, he passed the clipboard back over to Rhun. "There we go, all done. If you want to show me around that'd be fine by me."

Rhun watched as Sono filled out the paperwork and took it from him once he was done, giving it a quick glance over before putting it into the desk drawer and pulling out some keys then locked the drawer. "Alright, let us go.." he spoke with a smile as he came to a stand and lead the Meta out of the office and out of the building. It was fairly sunny on this day as he Rhun seemed to walk with a certain enthusiasm like the sun seemed to bring him a bit of joy. He looked over to Sono as they walked towards the adult housing complex. "So you mentioned a brother with a Malice? Is he okay? I know they can be terrible things and do terrible things to their hosts and others around them...." he asked inquisitively, seeing if Sono was even in touch with his brother. He made it a vague inquiry, something he could ask since he was, after all, a researcher of Manes and Malices.

Sono nodded, following him on out of the office and then out to the grounds. It was a rather nice day... He glanced around, taking in the scenery... He'd have to see if he could help with some of the yard work or something-- oh, there he went, assuming he'd be staying long term... He really needed to get out of that habit. The mention of Deskri pulled his thoughts out of contemplating the logistics of the Sanctuary lasting very long - he turned his head to Rhun, blinking.
"Oh, yes, Deskri... I'm a little ashamed to say I have no idea. I was off studying abroad when it all came down and haven't been able to get in contact with him or anyone else in my family since then. I can only assume the worst after twenty years." A somewhat pained smile occupied his face, but he shook his head. "Last I had heard though, his Malice had separated with the threat of tracking him down to kill him- so... If he's still alive it's probably by some miracle...... He wasn't too mentally stable after what that thing did to him. Did a lot of talking him down from episodes over the phone when we were still in contact." He sighed softly, almost missing those days-- at least he knew what was going on with them back then...

Rhun frowned as it became apparently clear that Sono had no idea about Deskri as he thought for a moment.
'He deserves to know..'
"Deskri.. He was here not too long ago. Stayed for a while to get back up on his feet. Though, I feel maybe he left a little too soon, he chose to do so. As far as I am aware, I had not heard of any Malices after him, but I honestly don't know." his voice was solemn and soft. He kept walking though, almost to the housing district by now. "He came in a little worse for wear, but I notice he had a lot more.. vigor in him just before he left. I do hope that he is alright. If anything, he knows where Sanctuary is and is also welcome to return." he was almost rambling now as he sighed a little and reached the house he would designate for Sono. Handing him the key as they reached the steps. "It's not much but it has basic furnishing, so at least that's a start, right?" he smiled a bit, almost a bit forced as he tried to get his thoughts off of Deskri before he began to feel too strongly and possibly lapse into anger. He wasn't perfect, but he was trying.

He's still alive.
Sono stopped in his tracks, eyes widening slightly as his tail raised in mild surprise. He was alive!? He started moving again, numbly following after Rhun as he spoke. Deskri was still around - he'd been here just recently... and then left. But why? Deskri was the sort of person to cling to security, not throw it away. A thousand thoughts rushed through his head as he struggled to make sense of it all. "Did-- Did he leave a way to contact him at all?" He accepted the key, but didn't even look down at it or so much as look at the house it belonged to. That didn't really matter at the moment. "He's not the kind of person that would just toss away security so lightly- if he left without fully recuperating then he's in trouble."

Rhun chuckled, "Well, so far no problems on summoning ungodly creatures. Sixty-seven days without a summon circle incident.. I'm very proud." he continued to joke, seeing as Sono did seem amused by it. He waved a hand dismissively.
He listened to Sono's speak, every word stabbing deeper within his regret. It was almost impossible to keep the emotion from showing on his face as he released a breath he apparently had been holding in. "I believe he left with a cellphone..." he muttered with a slight frown. "I think things were just difficult for him here for personal reasons, and I suppose he felt that he would fair better out there than in here... When we spoke about it, he said it wasn't forever, that he would come back." he shifted his slender red eyes away. "I don't know him that well.. Do you think he is actually in need of assistance?..." he forced out, just barely clinging to his emotions behind a wall he put up to forced them back.

Things were difficult here for personal reasons? What personal reasons? Memories? He supposed Deskri did have a lot of reasons to find pain here- so much of his time around campus was spent in a great deal of turmoil... But at the same time hadn't he had good ones too? Or were those the issue? Had he heard about Rasiel? Sono's mind continued to race as Rhun spoke, expression falling into a sort of guarded look as if he were intentionally making himself hard to read - something he'd learned to do over the years.
"I don't know if he was being truthful - he always had a habit of lying if he felt it would make others leave him be." He finally responded, voice even despite his inner distress. "Yes, I do. He's a strong kid - adult now I guess but Deskri lives on a suicidal cliff's edge, and at least when I was in contact with him he was always thinking about tipping off the side. I can't imagine he's had a very easy time on his own, did he come here without anyone else? It's very likely that he is being hunted and really isn't safe out there at all, but probably thought he should leave rather than put everyone else at risk. He used to tell me that a lot..."

Rhun frowned, so much for trying not to think about it. Sono's urges to say that Deskri was in trouble not only gave him guilt but set in a deep panic.
He's probably dead and it's all your fault..
And there was her voice again... it hadn't surfaced in such a long time, he almost hoped it would never return but there it was, how could he have been so stupid. "He showed up alone... I don't know where he went, just said he couldn't be here... he didn't feel safe. Much to my reluctance to let him leave like that, I am in no position to stop him. If you feel you could be of help to him, I can give you the number to the cellphone he has. Hopefully he answers... Maybe you are just the person to help him in this time of need since I did all I could and still failed to help him feel safe here." he explain, a twinge of pain only laying below the surface of his words. "I don't blame him for lying, I know quite a few who would do the same... but like I said, I don't well enough to judge whether he was being honest or not."
You knew... you just didn't care...
A slight shot of pain in his chest as the words hit him hard. '...that's.. not true..'
