Pride was very, very bored. After a long, very long summer. She was ready to go out and do something. Maybe not something useful, but something at least. Anything would be better than hanging out alone. That's when she first heard about it: a beach bonfire party. There was no way she was going to miss out on that. Just thinking about it seemed fun. Going to the beach and having a bonfire party with lots of food seemed great compared to her hot miserable summer alone. She didn't have time to dawdle around better hurry up and get packed! When she did arrive at the beach, she was filled with excitement! Everything was like she'd wished. Boy, was she glad she came here! You could practically feel the excitement and energy from the party from where she was standing and she was ready to join them.

 Melunha hadn't actually planned to go to the bonfire, he kind of just stumbled on it. He'd been out collecting shells and catching bugs, but now the sun was close to setting and a crowd was gathering. Realizing he'd been out here all day, and lunch was a very long while ago, Melunha makes his way to the party, the smell of roasting summer-time treats leading him right to the blaze.

Pride started off towards the fire. After her hike here it was only right to fill herself up, because she was really really hungry. The roasting treats on the fire glowed with brilliance. It looked so tasty. Pride couldn't help herself but dig in. Nothing in the world tasted better than this. Food roasted upon a fire. Really tasty. She looked around at the other Wini gathered around enjoying themselves when she saw a a nerdy looking guy with a cool hat and glasses. She did have to admit, his colors sure were pretty. "I who that nerd is," she said to no one in particular.

Melunha, thankfully, had remembered his manners, instead of just diving in and stuffing his face, he ate politely. Turning he smiles at Pride, he's not close enough to have heard her, but he's pretty sure she's checking him out. Not that he'd care anyway, he does like a lot of nerdy and geeky things. Goodies forgotten, Melunha walks over to her, giving a little bow. "You're a cutie, wanna dance?" CascadingRayn hehe he's probably the most overconfident nerd you'll ever meet.

Wow, did he just ask her to dance and call her a cutie? Pride was pretty sure he'd heard what she said about him and was really embarrassed. 'I wouldn't have said that to his face...well maybe I would,' she thought. But still asking her to dance was pretty gutsy. She liked gutsy people. She didn't know why, but they tend to register well with her. What could the harm be? As long as he didn't go and insult her while they were dancing, she'd be fine with it.

She hadn't actually said yes, but she didn't say no either. So Melunha turns and walks to the dance floor, which is actually a wooden stage set up on the sand, the live band playing a catchy tune. Glancing g over his shoulder to be sure she's flowing, he picks a path through the dancers.

They danced around at first. Pride was kind of nervous. It was really nerve-racking. She had never been asked to dance before and didn't know what to do. No one cares about that though. She was here, enjoying herself. That was so much better than staying at home and doing nothing by herself. She enjoyed this wini's presence. It felt good to be with someone else, even if he was a nerd. Of course, she had to know his name so she asked, "I don't even know your name! What is your name?" 'How stupid am I?' she wondered.
