As Justin approached the entrance he entered a few digits to let himself inside. He sighed as he entered the elevator and as it began its decent he pulled his hood back and held his findings in his hands. "What the hell are you?" he asked himself. Things in this city just grew stranger and stranger by the day, but that's why he fought the crusade he did. The citizens of Coast City deserved a sense of normalcy in their lives after all the insanity that's occurred over the years. As the elevator dinged, the door opened and gave way for him into his base of operations. As he threw the light switch everything illuminated brightly showing off his tools and training courses. Across several tables were finished arrows and others that appeared to be new works in progress. On the far wall was a rather large, high-tech computer, second only to a very select few on the planet. As he peered in its direction it displayed a large prompt reading "Download 90% complete". He gave a satisfied look as he made his way to a different section and placed the piece of tech down on a platform designed to analyze various components. After pressing a few buttons it began to illuminate and run a glowing light over the surface of the gadget before giving a few swift beeps. "Interesting. It's giving off a light energy reading but I can't pinpoint its origin. Could it be alien?" he asked himself before pushing a few more buttons to initiate more tests.
He shook his head as he made his way back to the computer that had seemingly finished its download. Sitting down in the chair in front of it he stretched back in it giving a sigh of satisfaction at the sound of a few popping joints. He began sifting through various documents that would make most conspiracy theorists wet their pants, but that's not what he was here for. He needed to find out what happened during his bout with the cat burgler, and as he made his way through a few video files he found something oddly peculiar. The footage recovered from the base showed what appeared to be green and yellow lights flashing back in forth in the distance, but sadly it was too far away and high up to get a good look. He paused the video as he spoke. "Computer, magnify 50%" he said as the now paused image became larger and slightly more grainy. "Refine image." he said as most of the grainy texture became easier to see. It still wasn't crystal clear but he could make out what he could only guess as the fabled Green Lantern of Coast City. Opposite him though, it appeared he had a slightly more yellow friend along with him, and they didn't seem to be getting along very well. Justin placed his fingers across his chin. Could this be the cause of it? No, but it did add to the growing list of oddities in the city. "Resume playing." he spoke as the footage continued. Far off in the background he saw something that appeared to be falling from the sky, crashing into the ocean. A UFO of some kind? Definitely no flying saucer, but it was certainly no human vessel that he could recognize. "So that's where you came from." he said facing back towards the room with the alien tech in it. "..but that doesn't tell me where the rest of you came from, or what you are." he said as his narrowed. He began to immerse himself deep in thought. This may beyond his skill to uncover.
You have failed this city.
