It was a rather peaceful evening, the guild had been slow and most of the mages were out on missions (to her knowledge). It was the perfect timing for Verona to walk around and have time for herself. Upon wandering around she ended up at the bar, the rather normal crowd seemed like a wave of people for the woman, making her just opt to do what she does best which was cover her face with her owl hood. Upon entering, she was just slightly nervous for the long stares before everyone else resumed on drinking. Her body curled up on the stool by the counter, bright eyes from under the dark hood stared at the man serving the alcoholic drinks. He stared back and just chuckled at the sight, not the first time he saw that behavior so it was slightly refreshing.
"Clearly you are new to this I see. Dont worry kiddo we will start you with something soft." the man said while turning around to begin making the concoction. Vera would usually refute about the age mistake but she decided to opt out. In reality, it was her first time trying alcohol, since it was not allowed within the shrine. It was one of those things she was curious about, therefore now that she was out of there she could actually try them. In a few minutes the man brought a sweet scented drink, calling it a girly drink of some sorts. Verona could only blink as she looked at the glass, now contemplating if she truly wanted to go through with this.

His thoughts were so muddled that he wasn't paying attention. What was he going to do about a new HQ? Of course he said he'd handle it, but then again, he was suppose to. Besides, if anyone had a say in his new home, it'd be him! The Drifting Bastille was perfect since they could come and go on the streets without anyone batting an eye. What were the odds of finding another place like that?! Low, very low. Hiding out sounded like something bad guys did and he refused to stoop to that level. "Fantastic..." he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. This train of thought was going nowhere fast; he needed to wind down just a bit. Glancing around where he wound up, he found himself in Oshibana Town. Lucky him, he knew exactly where to find the local bar too!
Pushing the door open with a little more force than necessary, eyes would quickly find their way to him for his outburst. Exchanging the glance, they'd all go back to their own business, allowing Silas to enter and stroll up to the counter. Taking a seat at the stool beside the hooded patron, he'd give a subtle hand gesture to the bartender to order his drink. He leaned on the counter, stroking his forehead until his shot was delivered to him. With only a wave in thanks, the drink was downed in seconds and the cup returned to the counter. "Just what the doctor ordered..." Silas commented to himself before ordering another. While he waited, his golden orbs would find themselves on the owl dressed person whom he only now realized was a woman from her mannerisms and her hands holding onto that cup. 'Today is starting to look up!' he thought to himself, a large grin appearing on his face. "You know...I hear it's easier to drink with someone. It's a lot more fun, anyway" he chime in on the girl, still smiling as wide as ever.

Moments passed as Vera stared at the drink, it was bubbly and pink, with a soft sweet scent. It does not seem like such a trivial thing, why would they forbid such a drink? she thought to herself before shaking her head and sighing. I am doing this. she concluded before taking a sip. The taste was sweet and delightful, almost making her question what was wrong with it. Almost. In seconds her throat began burning from the alcohol, causing her to cough slightly and lightly hiss at the drink. How dare this drink betray me like such!?!? Who would drink this?? she thought in despise before a soft voice engaged in conversation. Vera scanned him lightly, a man that seemed to be around her age, offering a warm smile. She instantly smiled back, only her blue eyes showing from under the hood. He was explaining how it was supposedly easier to drink while in company, maybe that was why it was a bitter aftertaste, she needed to drink with someone in order to truly enjoy it. Is that so? Maybe that is why it has such a bitter aftertaste. she replied with a small giggle as she rubbed her neck, slightly embarrassed over such a mere drink. Would you mind helping me then? Clearly I am not as skilled with alcohol. she asked bluntly while looking at her drink, hopefully the man would aid her in this new adventure of hers.

How stunning, the way they pierced the darkness her hood cast; the sight setting Silas back a little. Fortunately, he didn't get too lost in those beautiful orbs of hers that he missed what she was saying. She didn't seem to be a fan of her drink and misunderstood what he was trying to say. Having company didn't make the drinks taste better...well it depends. He only meant to say it was more fun to drink with others...and that she should drink with him. Clearing his throat, he'd attempt to smooth over the misunderstanding. "Yes, I'd love to help you. Just uh...maybe you'd like a different drink?" he asked, picking up on what she said about the bitter aftertaste. His keen sense of smell for booze told him it was some sort of fruity tonic. No, that wouldn't do at all! "Bartender, get my lady friend here a special iced tea" he'd request, the man proceeding to prepare the drink. "You seem to have sensitive tastes. I think a drink where you barely taste alcohol would suit you better. Just...drink in moderation." No sooner after Silas finished speaking, the woman would be served the new drink as requested. The slayer sat and watched as his own drink was served, waiting to see how his recommendation panned out.

It was....odd to say the least. She had encountered many smiles, hell, even her guild members made her smile constantly. Yet there was something about his smile that had Verona smiling back, but not the grateful smile, no, this one she didnt realized she did until half a minute into the conversation. An odd feeling to say the least. It seemed there was more about alcohol than just drinking in company, apparently it also had to deal with the drinker's taste. Interesting, so alcohol is personalized! she thought as she listened to his exchange of words with the bartender. Her body visually perked up upon hearing the word tea, she loved tea so finding out that one could mix both was a plus. Upon receiving the drink, she stared at it cautiously before looking at him. She may be behaving like a young adult, but there was still the wisdom of her travels questioning if she should drink it. Here goes nothing she thought before taking a small sip. The sweetness passed just fine, and Vera was visibly surprised to find no bitterness afterwards. She sparked a bit and looked contently at Silas. A wide grin being offered to him for helping her with such a trivial thing. Oh thank you so much, this is truly sweet sir..umm she said before realizing that she did not know his name, such lack of manners could not pass by. I am truly sorry for such lack of manners, my name is Verona. May I know your name kind sir? she said softly while offering her hand, hoping it was not rude to ask so bluntly and out of the sudden.

He simply stared at her with the same expression, it not fully registering what she had said. But when it did, his smile only grew in size as he fought back the urge to "guffaw" at the woman. Her answer was so unexpected; a little funny, but also cute. 'So she wanted to try alcohol, huh? Hmm...I wonder...' he contemplated, wondering if he made a mistake. Watching her ask the barkeep for a second serving of poison, she most likely was unaware of the side effects of drinking too much alcohol. At the rate she was going, with this particular drink, she'd be drunk in no time... Then again, this also was a learning experience, was it not? Verona awed lightly as her drink was being served once more, not waiting to take another sip of her tea to enjoy the new discovery. Soft giggles escaped from her, probably thinking she was some sort of rebel for doing so, meanwhile it was also heavily influenced by the alcohol intake. Her trail of thought stopped to hear Silas ask if she lived nearby, now that she thought about it, was she near? Probably not, but she did not want this man to worry sick about her, right? It is near, just a town over or so. she stated while fanning herself. Is it getting hot in here? » Biotic Target Description: The user makes a net-like pattern which runs straight through whatever it touches, tangible or intangible. However, instead of being destroyed, the living target splits apart and reduces into small, doll-like versions of themselves. This spell doesn't cause permanent damage since the victim will return back to normal after a while. Gildarts has also shown the ability to reconstruct the victim by motioning at the disassembled person.

Trevaj had not expected to run from Balsam to Oshibana, that could explain her exhaustion. "C-could you not anger anymore women, Takito?" The man in front of the door told Trevaj that no minors were allowed, and did not bother to give Trevaj the time of day to explain herself, it wasn't like she had any identification card to get inside either, she lost it on the mad run to Oshibana. She didn't feel like using up all her money on an expensive eatery, the bar was much more convenient. "I will get in that bar! Ahhhh!" The young woman scurried underneath the man's legs and rushed inside the bar, the man following, annoyed.
Takeda followed suit, yelling profanities at Trevaj to not make a scene, only to be yelled back by the once peaceful woman. "It is all your fault I am this tired you meanie! I just want my apple cider!!!" Trevaj stubbornly clung onto a barstool, too short to actually sit on it. The man who had trailed Trevaj wrapped his large hands around the girl's waist in attempts to pry her off the stool, the bartender behind the booth looking down in disappointment. "I am a grown woman! I just don't have my I.D. I AM NOT A MINOR! NOOOOOO!"

If he got too inebriated, he wouldn't be able to hold a conversation. Well, not one worth listening to, anyway. Looking back at Vera, he took note that she did in fact live close by. That was good, because at the rate she was going, she was going to need help getting home. ...Then again, he could probably find a nice inn for them to settle into. At least until she sobered up some, of course! But no, he thought against it considering it was her first time drinking. The right thing to do would be to take her back to her place and let her sleep it off. That is...until she pulled the hood off, finally unveiling that beautiful face of hers. The man had to pick his jaw up off the floor when she undid her hair and smiled at him. "Uh, well, sometimes! Hehehehe..." he replied with a nervous laugh. But in his head, he was already moving on to Plan B. 'How many inns are in this town? But it has to be nice, a shabby room won't do' Silas contemplated to himself. He wondered if he should let her keep drinking, not wanting her to get too intoxicated. Because it would take longer for her to get sober! That's why! ...This worked so much better when he knew the ins and outs around town. As he gave it some thought, the ruckus at the front door had caught his attention; a small female who demanded entry. She was cute, but there was no way she was getting in- or so he thought. The way she scurried under the man's legs, shouting the way she did, how could he not be amused? With her was a small cat companion who was yelling at her, trying to get her under control. Silas watched the scene play out for a moment, stifling his laughter before finally intervening. "Alright, alright. The kid's with me- Hey! Would you relax?" he spoke to the other man who gave him a look for speaking up. Since he released Trevaj and went back to his post, it must have been fine. And with that, Silas would return to Vera to see where she was as far as drinks.
