Bhaltair is more of ... a noble sort of cheetah. He was raised in a group that prides itself on being pure and holding things like family values and strength above all else. They rarely let outsiders in, for when they do ... bad things happen. Having been witness to more than one of these things, Bhaltair is incredibly loyal to the group and to his family.
Toward others, he may seem cool at first, but he warms up quickly enough when he sees their intentions toward him aren't harmful. And if others' intentions are harmful, Bhaltair is more than able to protect himself. He's likely to make friends fairly easily, but it's doubful that he would trust anyone enough to take them back home with him.

Bhaltair comes from the same group that Eitsheth and Elua do - and he is Eisheth's brother, from the same litter. The two of them were pretty close growing up, though Bhaltair never really liked their cousin Elua. Even as a young cub, he shared the opinion of most of the older members of the group - that Elua was bad luck.
And he was glad when she was kicked out, because it meant that he got more of his sister's attention.
As the young cheetah grew, he eventually decided he wished to train to join the Order of Protection - a group that was part guard, part army, and part assassins. They took care of any disturbances requiring force, inside and outside the group.
Over time, Bhaltair became one of the better Protectors, if not the best... and most of that was because he didn't really want to lead, content to follow orders he was given and do well at his missions.
And then... his sister disappeared. No knew where she had gone, or why she had left, but it very nearly turned Bhaltair's world inside out. He still loved and, in a way, depended on his sister to be there for him - though if she had known how very much, she might not have gone without saying something to him. But ... she felt that if he had know why she left, he would try to stop her. Which he likely would have, considering his more traditional views and his early dislike of Elua.
Bhaltair's group has somehow discovered that Elua, the bad-luck cub, is still alive out there... and Bhaltair has volunteered to be the one to find her. And kill her once he does. He is also looking for his sister on the way, hoping that she isn't in any kind of trouble...

Chiran loves to free-run. He is good at it, and he knows it. It's almost uncanny how he can be on the ground one moment and the next bouncing up and over a tree or rock to get past an obstacle in his way. He also loves teaching others to do what he can do - and he's usually very patient with new learners. As soon as someone seems like they're getting it, though, he's not afraid to try and get them to push their limits - and keep on pushing them. He wants everyone to be the absolute best that they can be.
