Odessa the mighty shadowy black dragon and Kaido a very powerful demon whose strength seconds the demon king had an offspring. Draconis, was destined for greatness, but like a lot of great stories it has a tragic beginning. Kaido was attempting to destroy an army single handily as work for a king. Because of his reputation the opposing army hired Odessa to protect him from them. Although she ultimately couldn't protect them from the epic battle that would take place. Odessa and Kaido fought for several days neither one giving an inch to another. Kaido, impressed with her incredible strength, fell in love with the female dragon. However, the demon Kaido left shortly after impregnating Odessa leaving her to raise their offspring. In order to raise her child efficiently she sealed half her power into a stone.
Now having a human form and a baby Draconis to look after, Odessa, would have to try to adapt to human the lifestyle. Knowing of her husbands notorious fame she did not give her son his surname. This was in order to protect him.However, this didn't stop the gossip of Kaido Yokai laying with a dragon turned human. As a result of Odessa and Draconis sudden appearance they had to escape. Aware that in order to protect her son she would need to find the stone she sealed her power in and destroy it. While traveling to the location of her stone she trained Draconis in the chance they may be separated. About a year into their journey they were approached by a group of men. Normally he would be confident but his mother knew she would be no match for them in her weakened state.
Transforming into her dragon form confirming their suspicion. A young Draconis watching as his mother was being badly beaten by the group. Shifting into his dragon form he attempted to save her but she let out a loud road stopping everyone. She yelled out to him to escape and to live on a survive for her sake. Her last words before she was slain was that she loved him. With his life Draconis was able to escape without them knowing who he is. Many years Draconis lived as a wanderer; honing his skills for those that dared cross him. Now a grow man the half demon tainted dragon lives as a wandering mercenary.
Personality: Draconis can be a bit complex to people who don't know him. An introvert by birth he normally keeps to himself and lets people talk more than he would while he gathers information. Depending on the persons character Draconis may open his self up to the person if he trust them. With friends he can be more talkative, friendly, laid back, and just an overall nice person to be around. When around people he does not know or like he is a bit more aloof or mysterious until he deems the person worthy of his friendship. Once he sees you as a friend, you have a good friend for life, he will stay loyal to you and see you as family. Besides his loyalty his biggest trait is how headstrong he is no matter how the odds are stacked against him.
