Near the Everfree Forest, a young red Pegasus colt whose wings were tipped in blue gradient had discovered a hole in the ground filled with bright red dirt, and at this very moment, was using his own two hooves to dig up dirt, scooping it into an open sack. "This looks like good dirt to use. So soft and fine...almost like sand..." Umber said to himself as he continued digging. From time to time, he paused to break off a mangled root or toss any rocks that delayed his digging progress. A half hour of dirt sniffing, licking, and scooping of dirt of various browns and reds later, something caught his eye. It was a strange cat with big eyes, peeking from the opening of a nearby bush, and just as quickly as the mysterious Cheshire Hunter appeared, it tucked his head in and disappeared. In response to the sighting, Umber Caesious pulled the drawstrings of his dirt collection bag, reared up on two legs and pursued the Heart Country cat through the Everfree Forest, past a tree where a solitary zebra mare and shaman lived, and just over the largest hill on the horizon, through the tall grass and suddenly down a dark hole in the ground. Umber shouted, and tried as he might to flap his wings to carry his dirt bag back up to the surface, the young colt continued to fall down, down, down. Was this the end of the outdoor-loving Pegasus with a fish-bone-looking mark under the green eye...or just the beginning...?
