User Image The South Luna Ocean, it was a warm place and the swells were normally large. But as of late the waves hadn't been the highest they could have been. It seemed to be the lull of the season, storms were coming this much she knew. She could feel it in her fins, the big ones were coming. Laying on a flat stone, the white and cream seapony filly looked out towards the open ocean.

"This is boring, When will the get here." She sighed flicking at the water with a fin. "I hate these seasons, I should have stayed in class today instead of skipping."

Yep, she was a trouble maker when ever she heard there were to be swells at the surface. But this time she was told wrong, there was nothing here. Not yet anyways, probably in a day or two, maybe... With a groan, White Cap rolled back into the ocean letting the cool water wash over her warmed scales. This day was a bust and it would be hard to sneak back into class. It was hard enough just to get out.

"I'm in such trouble when I get home."

Waves. The existence of the ocean or rather the heart. To ride upon them was living the dream aka life. Lately, the school hadn't been in the perspective of things for a rowdy obsidian colored colt who longed to travel along those sparkling wonders. Instead, usual routine was leaving those guppies behind to learn what he already knew without some stuffy fish saying otherwise.

Of course, they'd eventually seek him out in time but for now the deep was his. Being a colt he paid no heed to caution, leaving imagery running wild with intense adrenaline. Using his tail he'd navigate the waves even if they were much weaker this time of year. Sure, it took more stamina to keep dreams alive but who was keeping a check on statistics here.

Laughing he jumped upward in the water catching a glimpse of something. Losing his balance he flopped back in the water then re-submerged again. Looking around the giant South Luna Ocean he realized there was another of his kind lying upon a flat rock.

Now, he swam closer till he fully saw a filly, "Hey there. Why so gloomy little surfer?' he queried with those big pools ocean looking upon her. She seemed pretty mellow for some reason.

"Ocean got you down?" he spoke once more waiting for her to respond as his tail fin swished back and forth.

She drifted some before an ear fin flicked to the sounds of another. Someone else was out on the waves, what waves there were. She was only interested in the one she could skim along. Turning her head to the side a little, in an almost curious fashion. Gold lamps caught sight of the black colt who was coming her direction.

"Hm?" She paused, her tail flicking slightly to keep her in place. "More like I am going to get in trouble for skipping class." She looked away and up towards the skies over head. "That and the waves aren't as grand as I had been told. But there is a storm coming." Her tone hushed near the end as she continued to watch the ever blue skies.

"It's coming."

As he moved in closer, tail swishing back and forth his expression thoroughly frowned, "Class? Ugh its the most boring thing ever. Seriously, Blah blah blah is all that fin-tastic school is worthy of. I'd rather float out on these easy-going waves then listen to banter for the rest of my ocean life".

He grinned smacking a small water spray toward her, "Storms aren't downers. In fact, that's the riptides your heart is calling for. The key is waiting for the lightning, rain, thunder, etc to end then the ocean rocks you like a baby". Of course, Dark Tide knew this immensely the real waves lied within a passing storm. He pondered if this little goldfish could keep up with the intensity that lived within riptides straight of the ocean's lungs.

Noting she had that miserable frown he smiled, "Name is Dark Tide. What's yours?" he asked with a notion that would probably get them both grounded on the ocean floor for a semester.

White Cap watched the one who called himself Dark Tide, dark her certainly was. Was he like a tide? That had yet to be seen, to her eyes he was as smooth as the slugs on the sea floor.

"Ah-huh, and your parents don't force you to go to classes?" She questioned, watching him out the corner of her eye. "Mine are always on my back about going and not being a bump on a rock."

She backdragged a little as he flicked water in her direction, while most of it had splashed against her white hide, she squinted at the colt, gold eyes almost seemed to blaze like the sun over head. Flipping forward, she brought her tail down hard on the water's surface. Sending water in all directions and small waves towards the colt.

"My parent's called me White Cap," She mentioned coming back to the surface, though she still squinted at him. "And I know storms aren't downers, why do you think I am here? Just that the storm hasn't come when I was told it should have." She turned her back to the black colt and pulled herself back onto her stone. She seemed to completely miss the point that he was making, she was just still down that the waves hadn't come yet..
